  1. I'm lucky to get 4 hours of screen on time with my G4. Admittedly that's with the old battery. The new battery I swap to occasionally fares a bit better, but the G4 really doesn't have good SOT. Aside from that it's a great phone considering the price you can get it for..
  2. For a modern shooter? 15 hours is well above the expected play time. Usually you're looking at less than 10. I finished Uncharted 4 the other day with my total time being somewhere in the region of 13 hours. That's taking into account every cutscene and a bit of off-the-beaten-path exploring and at a pretty relaxed pace. Less story-driven run and gun games are typically shorter.
  3. With limited access and no speed limit. I mean it would be private land.
  4. My HU had a suite of options that allowed me to reallocate the steering controls; my phone button brings up the phone option when my phone is linked. I don't know if I did anything with the speech button, but yes you can usually change their function to whatever you want. Obviously do some research to make sure you get the correct harness for your particular setup (type of original radio, type of new HU, year of car etc.) The HU will probably come with its own mic, but if it doesn't then another wouldn't cost much at all.
  5. If you keep getting slippage and squaling after changing the belts - and running out of tensioner adjustment - consider checking belt length. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/104524-my-alternatorac-belts-are-the-wrong-size/ I had a similar issue and found that shorter belts fixed it. I put 6PK1148 and 4PK938 (instead of 6PK1173 and 4PK948) on mine and haven't heard a peep from the belts since. I know it's completely incorrect for the Zed, but for whatever reason it works on mine. But if your tensioners aren't at the end of their travel then it probably won't be this

    HFC,s

Simple enough but that would probably do my nut. Performance increase aside, I'd have to pay for the remap just to avoid that.
  7. After spending some time with a friend and seeing him play, I bought Witcher 3. Damn this is a big game. There's so much content in the base game, the devs added a lot of free extras and the expansions are damn cheap (on top of its current very low price in a lot of places). Well worth a punt if it's your type of game. I'll be playing this for ages while I wait for other titles (like Doom and Dark Souls 3) to drop in price.
  8. That looks absolutely mint. Got me very tempted mate. Ace work.

    HFC,s

Do HFCs require a remap? I've read about EMLs after fitting them. I would get a remap done eventually (if I can find a place in/around) the Midlands, but only after I'd got a new exhaust on; wouldn't want to do it several times unnecessarily.
  10. Good to hear. The mileage wasn't great (89k) but I think I've got a solid car at the end of the day. I think it had a shunt on the front end, but the bumper was replaced long before I got to it. I don't think it's been run hard by amateur drifters anyway
  11. I had been thinking it was drinking oil quite quickly, but that's something I can keep on top of. I paid £8k, which going by eBay seems to be around the top end for an 07 GT.
  12. Which is a shame because it is a lovely colour. Although the night blue replacement is also lovely. I had no idea. That dark blue does look fantastic; I would genuinely be torn choosing between the azure I have and the midnight. Now that I know for definite what I'm dealing with (I feel like an idiot btw), that means I now need to look into the DE rev-ups little quirks.
  13. Okay guys thanks for the info. I was pretty sure I was right. Not sure how to feel about not have a HR but hey. Now I just need to make sure that companies don't assume I have a 313 in the future.
  14. Or was there some crossover? To clarify, my Zed was registered in April 2007 (according to the DVLA). Whenever I do insurance quotes etc. it comes back listing it as a 313 rather than one of the lower bhp models. It has the GT pack; Bose system, cruise control, heated seats etc. However, the by the lack of bonnet bulge and looking in the engine bay it isn't a HR, right? Not to mention it only has one intake. ( (Please excuse the dirty engine bay. The last few weekends have been busy; I've only just about been able to wash the outside.) So does anybody have a clue as to where I stand? Because at the moment it seems like I was assuming the insurance companies etc. (including the tax man) were correct and they have been charging me for a 313 HR and not a rev-up DE (which this looks like this is). The rev counter has the redline in 7k, rather than 6.5k or 7.5k like the other models. Admittedly it means I won't have to worry about the gasket issue that I've been following, but I'm confused.
  15. Gaskets aside, are there any parts in that region of the car that are incompatible between DEs and HRs? (offending gaskets aside obviously) So timing chains, tensioners, water pump etc. I'm doing some poking around for parts and prices right now, but I'm not having a great deal of luck anywhere except eBay (and even that's limited). Don't particularly feel like being taken for a ride price-wise by Nissan.
  16. Without opening it up, is there any real way of knowing if the low pressure is caused by the gaskets or not? I'm assuming the gaskets on mine have never been done (I don't have an FSH) and it's just hit 96k miles. It seems like the gaskets are a when rather than an if problem. Is that accurate?
  17. Has anybody got a source for the different bits we find in the timing galley? The guides, chain etc. I'll probably get hold of the gaskets but I might need the other bits depending on what I find in there. Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
  18. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ambarella-A7LA50-Mini-0805-XHD-1296P-Car-Dash-Cam-Camera-DVR-GPS-Logger-UK-STOCK-/291566534152?hash=item43e2b83e08:g:dycAAOSwsB9V-hlL This the one? How much trim pulling and wire tucking is involved? I was initially looking at a Roadhawk but they're very pricey and need to be hardwired in. I like the idea of one that just goes into the 12v, as long as it starts when I turn the ignition.
  19. Seconding this. Ultimately it sounds like your belts are too loose either because they've stretched or are the wrong size. Retension or fit new ones.
  20. While you're pulling the dash and radio out, think about splurging and fit a new head unit. Better results and more functionality for a relatively low investment.
  21. I've got one of the smaller ones in my car. It looks nice and it's good to use, however I found that the thread didn't quite match up. When tight the Z and markings on the top didn't line up straight. I've effected a solution at the moment but I really need to have it back off and throw a load of thread lock in there.
  22. Are people getting the timing chains, guides, and tensioners done the at the same time? It might be a silly question, but while it's going to increase the cost of the repair it would seem prudent when you're already in the car's guts.
  23. This thread is definitely making it seem like it's something I need to be doing. Mine's coming up to around 96k and the gauge (on the dash, I haven't had it measured 'properly' yet) is sitting between 0 and 30 when warm and idle, so it may well be in that risk zone. Oh well. Another job.
  24. Yeah that sounds about right. The Zed is the first car I've owned that has anything approaching 300 bhp and it still catches me sometimes, although by this point it just spices up a drive rather than causing concern.
  25. Yeah I had to fit smaller belts (at least one of them was). A photo on my phone (took it when I bought them for future reference) shows 6PK1148 and 4PK938 instead of 6PK1173 and 4PK948. Car runs fine and there's no squeal and I didn't run out of tensioner adjustment. It's odd for sure.
