  1. Hi, Yeah the plates are all still in place. It may well be a build up of dirt. I haven't really used them properly in a while as I've just been doing the 30mph drive to work so they haven't had much serious use. I'll give the dics a clean up this afternoon and check the run out. Hopefully I'll get it sorted Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. I fitted them. Yeah they were all done right. There's not really a lot of build up really. I'm going to check the run out, clean the disc and have a few hard braking sessions. Just to eliminate the brake discs from being the problem. I thought it could possibly be the discs but as they're fairly new I was wondering if anyone had encountered the same sort of problem and found the issue to be something else Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  3. Does anyone know why my car would be vibrating under braking? The rear of the car vibrated really badly and violently under braking last year around August time. So i changed the rear discs for mtec dimpled and grooved discs and ebc red stuff pads. The vibration stopped immediately and was nice and stable with no vibration. The car has only done about 2500 miles since putting the new discs and pads on and I can feel vibration/judder through the pedal again. Never through the steering just the pedal. So are my rear discs warped again? How could they be? And if they are would mtec replace them as surely they shouldn't be that bad after only a few months/miles Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  4. Absolute bargain, if u didn't already have one I'd if had it! Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  5. That's a good spot thanks I'll give them a call. I can hear it but I played it through my car blue tooth and had it quite loud. Thanks for getting back with a bit of advice Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  8. Lol, never put a video on you tube Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  9. I've done a video but apparently it's too large to post Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  10. No only under harder load, accelerating hard for example or 15mph 3rd gear then foot hard down etc..... Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  11. Car has always had super unleaded since I've owned it. Twice shell all the other times tesco 99. I have only done about 5000 miles in it since the last oil change but that was a nearly a year ago. The car hardly ever gets thrashed, I use it to go to work mainly which is 6.5 miles. 2.5 miles 50mph the rest 30mph, although I have heard that stop/start driving uses more oil. I have been keeping a better eye on the oil since and it hasn't really lost any in the last 6 weeks. I'll try and get a video up, like I said it's only under load. Reving engine in neutral won't make the rattle noise. I have noticed it pops and bangs a bit more but I was putting that down to the blowing y pipe Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  12. Hi guys, can anyone let me know what I need to do to fix this? I'm 99% sure this is my problem. It all started when I had a spirited drive with an mr2 back end of November, the next day got a p0300 fault code. Changed the plugs, still the same so took it to a garage and got 6 new coils and an mot and seemed fixed Noticed this pinging/knocking/clicking sound (like when you used to put a lolly stick in you bike spoke to make a noise) but only very slight. Thought great another problem. It's got worse and worse ever since. It only happens under load in gear. I also noticed it had used a lot of oil and put nearly 2l back in. The y pipe is also blowing and was an the mot advisory if this is also possibly not helping. So does it sound like I'm on the right line of the problem? How do I go about fixing it and how much will it cost? Thanks a lot Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  13. Semmco, battery covers are only £15 brand new from Clark motorsport Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks for reply. Doing it in the dark was definitely where I was going wrong. I totally missed the hole and when i pulled it back out it was totally dry so i knew something wasnt right.Used the fingers to guild it in in the end. Got a bit of a mess on my fingers but these things happen. The misfire was the coils, so that's no longer a problem. I was just hoping it was the plugs. So changed them myself and that's when I found the oil. I thought it may be the coils but I let a garage sort it in the end as if it wasn't the coils I would've had some come back, but if I'd done it myself and spent £570 on coils then it wasn't that I would've been stuck. Had a look at a repair kit, however a brand new cover from Clark is £195, pretty much same as the kit with no messing about, so I may do this in a couple of months. So think I'll stick a litre in it today and see how it goes and keep my eye on it. Service is due in July so I'll give it an oil change then. Thanks for the help. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  15. Hi thanks for your reply, I'll stick a litre of oil in it today then and see about repair kit or new replacement. Would it loose that amount of oil through the plug hole though? The coils are a tight fit, and there had been no oil on the garage floor etc......so where has it gone? ? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  16. For one.....I struggle to find the hole, it's frustrating I know but am I the only one? When I checked my oil on the dip stick last night to me it looked like it didn't even reach the minimum. I can see plenty of oil on the bottom of the stick, day and inch, bellow the twist. Then just a bit here and there. I'll post a pick. So is the car really low on oil? Secondly I had a random misfire in November time. Bought new plugs and changed them but found in one of them it had a load of oil. See pic. Changing the plugs didn't fix the misfire. So I took it to a garage, got 6 new coils and an mot. I told him about the oil in one of the plugs. He said he looked and couldn't see anything but said keep my eye on it. So my questions really. Is it clear to see on the dip stick the amount of oil (like it is in my focus)? If it was loosing oil through the spark plug seal, would it really go from nearly full to under the minimum.?http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/589ae42929643/20170207_190038.jpg? http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/589ae42d07e5c/20170207_190042.jpg? http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/589ae440a14ca/20170207_185218.jpg? http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/589ae460f1e69/20161108_135845.jpg? 17. Yeah the new xtrail was the plan but I'll be looking at 18k for one. I was gonna wait 18 months then get the xtrail but it's now I need the room. Trouble is going to Florida next year, new downstairs bathroom, extension next year and a new car. So 11k us the max right now. Looks like the plus 2 qashqai is still looking top. Dies anyone know how safe they are in a rear shunt? The seats are like 6 inches from the rear window. But saying that the xtrail q7 etc.. Are pretty much the same Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks for everyone's input. I've been looking again today and the qashqai +2 is still looking like the top contender. One of my concerns with it though is the fact the rear seats are only a few inches from the boot and how safe would it be from a rear crash. Saying that I know there isn't much room between the sides of any car when you're sat in it. Only other thing I can't stop thinking is 11k is nearly 370 money!! Until they make a 7 seater guess it's the qashqai. Those rear child seats look good bit they're expensive for what they are.....plus worth more then my focus lol Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  19. Also don't want a mpv, was looking more suv Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  20. So it's time to change the family car which at the moment is a focus. With another baby on the way I need to fit in 3 child car seats. I'm yet to find a car that can get 3 car seats in the back so I have been looking at 7 seaters. Top of the list so far is a qashqai +2 tekna. The car needs to: • fit 3 car seats. • leather seats as easier to clean. • around £150 a year tax. • 45mpg minimum combined. • no more then 5 years old. Any ideas.???? Thanks Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  21. Are the meister r gt1 the only coilovers they offer now for the 350z? I very nearly was gonna join a gb last year for zeta s coilovers I think they were called but decided to wait until this summer. Did that group buy end up going through, I know there was a bit of wait. I was only looking at spending around £700 Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  22. No problem mate, I think if it's a straight forward spray the front bumper £250-£300 is what you should be looking at however the price will increase if it's aftermarket bad fitting like has been said. I had a kit I took to 3 places and none of them would touch it it was that far out. I then bought another from Rt and they said that was much better quality which it was and they had no problem doing it. I am a bit of a perfectionist though and in hindsight maybe should've test fitted it and done some of the prep myself as I feel I got the job done cheap, not as much money was spent on prep. For example I have a panel gap or about 2mm along one part but then the last inch the gap drops to about half a mill. Only noticeable close up but you really need to know the quality of finish you are after and make sure the price reflects the work Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  23. I'm in the same boat, I have had 20/25mm spacers in the garage for over a year now thinking should I put them on for the exact same reasons. Also the other thing putting me off from flitting them is that from the side and above the look better but form the front and the rear won't they stick out further then the rear spats and also as the fronts will be further out will that mean more mud and stones are likely to be flicked up the side of the car? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  24. Well mate I got my nismo kit sprayed and fitted and the rear bumper, bonnet and boot sprayed for £900 for comparison. I thought it was a good price. The paint is spot on but I would've preferred them to spend a little more time prepping fitment before spraying. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  25. OK I'll keep my eye on it thanks Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
