  1. That's the down side to them, the service intervals, but it wouldn't be seeing 000000's of mile a year from me so that doesn't worry me too much. Yes full service history is a must, and preferably Ralliart. Cheers
  2. Thanks Rich, that's gorgeous, like that a lot.
  3. Mmmmm, c'mon Bri tell us more í ½í¸„. I keep telling the other half I'm not selling a car again, just buying and collecting but she won't have it (neither will the auld bank account í ½í¸ž) Lol.... I'm a big fan of v6 / v8 cars, in fact pretty much all the v engines, and especially the Jag V12, a few years ago I bought what I thought at the time a bargain 4x4 Pathfinder for my business from a mate. Little did he or me know at the time it was a very rare (in this country anyway) 3.3 ltr V6 RA 50 model imported from Oz. I put it in for its mot and all it needed was the front shocks replaced. After a while I started doing a bit of digging on it and found it was a model sold in the far east and Australia, was never intended for the European market and as such only a few ever made it over, mine being one of them. It has never let me down and sails through the mot every year with just a brake pipe or bulb, that's all I've ever had to do to her. 1860000 miles on her and she is still sweet as a nut and brilliant in the snow. So that's how I got into cars really, I was a bike nut since 12 yr old and still have a bike. My Mrs wanted a newer car but it had to be big and 4 x 4 so we went looking and found a Jeep Commander 5.7ltr V8 and bought it straight away. Kind of then I got really into V engines and a year ago I decided to treat myself to a nice coupe (yes that mid life crisis thing), spent a while looking at Zeds, simply because they were v6 and the rest is history. My wife wouldn't let me sell the Pathfinder when we got the Jeep because it costs so little to run and never let's us down. So we won't get rid of any of our cars because we love them, but fancy trying other cars also, hence the thoughts on the evo, Mrs wants the merc Slk, but it has to be the v6 3.5 model, cause she's a poser lol. My Zed is body modified and I'm doing a few bits to the engine but I'll never through the £££££££ at her to turbo or charge her, but I like cars that are different and not common sights on the road, could never have a mondeo etc, but I want something that's stupidly fast aswell, and the evo, even tho not a v engined car floats my boat. I will eventually get a Jag XJS V12 as well but that's a couple of years away.
  4. Any members got experience of these machines ?. I'm buying another couple of cars to add to the collection next year, the v6 3.5 Slk for the Mrs and a Evo vi for myself. I don't know anybody that has one and have only spoken to other petrol heads at car shows about them so only know what I have gleaned from the Web and short blethers with owners at shows. Has any members on here previously / currently own one that can give me proper first hand input on them. Going to buy an already modified one, preferably one around 400 or more bhp. Any input appreciated, thanks. Bri

    300c hemi

I've got a V8 Jeep Commander with the 5.7 hemi engine and a straight through cat back custom made pipe from Pipe Dynamics on it. Growls like a grizzly bear on start up and loud v8 burble when normal driving, stupidly loud on full chat but I love it. Touch wood, never had a problem with it in the near two years I've owned her. Huge comfy mile muncher, bit hard on the wallet though at averaging 17 mpg, but I would buy another. Love it as much as my Zed.
  6. Looking back at the diesel push a few years back, a few government initiatives and suddenly the price of buying a petrol car dropped through the floor and diesel ownership leapt from 1m to 10m overnight. Think this might change with all the drama with VW and their diesel cars, with more manufacturers looking to be outed !!
  7. As title.....I've been reading a lot about these, but being useless at car technics I'm not sure what they are all about. Looks like a simple mod to do but what do they actually achieve ?
  8. Where and when is this? Sounds good. 7th November hopefully but location still to me decided. Keep ur eyes on the forum for post soon. Look forward to it. I've got a bog standard Roadster (import). Would be good to get some ideas and feedback. Hopefully it'll be on the West Coast. We are looking at Scone Palace at the minute (details in regional meets form), good big grounds and a cafe and great backdrop for photos.
  9. Sailed through mot with just an advisory on a break pipe, not bad at all for a 10 year motor, happy days . Can't wait for my engine part s to arrive to get blinging
  10. Welcome along..........love the Capri, one of my favorite modern classics
  11. Stop messing around Jeff..... you know you want to lol
  12. Aftermarket exhaust was put on it by dealer I bought it from so all good there, however I did get the resonater deleted by Pipe Dynamics in Fife. Sounds amazing on full chat. Nice wheels on your Zed, I like them.
  13. MOT time for my Zed, a year in already!. With the mot being due it dawned on me I really ought to start modding her up a bit. Apart from Flybys airbox mod I've done nothing to her in the year I've had her, a green light from the boss was given to start spending some money. First up a pm to Adrian and ordered up a berks aluminium air intake pipe and plenum spacer. Next pm went to Mopedmark re the polished plenum and will be ordering that up at end of month, then a pm to ZeppoJeff to try and persuade him to part with his purple samco pipes (waiting on Jeff deciding hint hint Jeff lol). Going to get engine cover, battery and fuse covers painted to match the samco pipes, that's another hint Jeff!!. And early next year will get the remap done...oh and my wheels need repainted. Need some ideas on colour. My Zed is sunset orange and current wheel colour is black (BBS replicas),was thinking of colour change to a dark bronze.
  14. Welcome to the Z world. Braw Zed you've bought. A Scottish meet is being planned for early November ( further info will be posted up in Central and North of Scotland meets section) be good to see you and the car there

  16. JAE..... great weekend and big thanks to the ZX club guys and girls for making my son and I so welcome. Great laugh and conversation plus some seriously nice cars on the stand. Thanks again Gaz
  17. Good job because I was hunting for it on the net last nite ready to buy it. A beaut of a Zed, great buy, any chance your going to JAE this weekend. .??....would love to see this in the flesh
  18. This has got to be the classiest looking 350z I have ever seen. That is gorgeousí ½í²“í ½í²“í ½í±
  19. Just out of curiosity. ... has any members had a custom stainless steel exhaust made for ther Zed ??. A small outfit up in Fife ( not far from me) called Pipe Dynamics done my V8 Jeep last year and it was only £295.00 ( cat back) an sounds brilliant....... to me anyway, not sure my neighbours agree lol. They also done a resonator delete on my Zed. It had a new stainless fitted by the garage before I bought it but wasn't the noise I wanted, it is now lol. There's bound to be a custom exhaust makers around you and they are usually a lot less £££ than the mainstream sports exhaust prices. I got quoted around £400 for my Zed and they give a lifetime guarantee. Just my tuppence worth........
  20. Can't wait for this event to come around. Coming down with my son who is a Ford man but he is buzzing about feasting on all the Japanese motors.
  21. I might be up for doing that. Done it at Driftland Lochgelly a couple of times and also the learn to drift experience too, absolute blast í ½í¸†
