  1. Forget those con artists... Noddle is free for life, as it should be, it's your data. https://www.noddle.co.uk
  2. That's a little pessimistic It's just another platform serving content. Once you're tuned into (or following) people of interest, or you've mastered the art of searching using hash-tags, it yields results you won't find anywhere else. Whilst there is a heaping load of crap on there, there's also loads of great content. Same goes for any similar service!
  3. I think this stat exists due to a lot of young drivers owning them in the US - It's a very predictable and well balanced car for what it is.
  4. That'll be you then! I drive the Sunset with black roof
  5. Looks like you're going to end up with a great zed for a good price still, even factoring in for the replacement engine. Like some people have been saying, 0% finance is readily available by juggling a few cards - just get it done! Think about it later

    Oil usage....

What's the score with this uprev oil suckery? Does this mean also that if you have a uprev remap, your engine will suddenly start using more oil?! Any theory behind it, or just how it is?

    Oil usage....

I wouldn't worry - it seems a lot of zed's use oil, so long as you make sure you never run low, you shouldn't have much to worry about

    Oil usage....

    I've used about 400ml over 5k miles '04 on 76k
  9. Nice to know if stuck, not the most reassuring rolling around with an empty gauge though
  10. A monopod could be a decent alternative if you want to travel lighter
  11. I commute 50 miles a day in mine also, computer tells me I average 27mpg over mostly motorway driving, with some town and B roads also - it also gets used at weekends and sees some spirited driving. I'll see 300 miles to a tank on a good week and that's from full until empty. It costs me approximately £65 to fill up with 99 at tesco. thats still got at least a quarter of a tank in... 27mpg will easily do 400 miles, its an 80 litre tank! So I was led to believe, but absolutely no chance! It's a UK model too.
  12. Likewise, I've taken many shots indoors with no lighting, even with the kit 18-55 on my 500D
  13. You are correct actually, in the literal sense. In relative terms, I see no harm.

  15. Let me re-iterate... Most faiths teach a decent set of rules for living As you've just stated yourself, most preachers do not teach murder, hate, oppression of women etc - would you rather they did? You're keen to single out extremism and focus on the negative, and this is fine, there is a bad side to everything, it is what creates a balance. I largely find discussion on this subject a bit of a waste of time, which is why I kept it short and sweet
  16. You should perhaps read a couple of holy books. Have done
  17. I don't see any problems with your pictures... Some have an exposed sky and an under-exposed land area, for example. Nothing will fix this other than external lighting or using HDR technique from multiple exposures... For museum photography, you might benefit from an external flash, should yield good results. Your 50mm 1.8 is a reasonably fast lens, either use a longer exposure with a tripod or employ the use of a flash
  18. I'm not religious myself, but I see no harm in religion. Most faiths teach a decent set of rules for living and there's no doubt it has made better people out of many. It is, however, the descriptive factor in many a case of violence, war or terrorism - but that's the media for you, coupled with a collective fear of anything that's different. Unfortunately, you can not explain the world away with fact or logic, no matter how hard you try. The reality is, most of the universe we perceive and exist in remains unexplained, and I suspect it will always remain that way. While this is true, nobody can dismiss anybody's faith or spiritual beliefs. For me, there's a distinct line between organised religion and having a spiritual belief or viewpoint. Some people and their beliefs I would describe as nuts, but it's not for me to judge.

  20. ISO performance is better, even on a modest upgrade such as the 550D - but stretching the limit of the cameras ISO performance isn't ideal or desirable. You don't mention what lenses you are using, which is a far more significant factor when dealing with low light photography than your body, as is technique. Additionally, if considering a flash unit, the Canon ones are very expensive and not really necessary unless you take photographs for a living (reliability). You can buy Speedlite copies very cheaply, and the performance is fantastic. I own several along with some wireless triggers - lighting possibilities are endless. http://www.amazon.co...N/dp/B009APY9TO And as Paddy says, what are you taking pictures of? Might help us help you...
  21. Apparently disqualification from that event and 6 points on his racing license.
