  1. I'm not a fan of buying modded cars but yours sound good. I wouldn't want much else though.
  2. The Mayo thing could have cleared after a blast - or could be a big problem
  3. When was the power investigation? Could be something simple. Any chance of finding out the previous owner and chatting with them? It looks tidy enough other than the scuff on the front bumper and not priced too badly for a dealer. Personally I wouldn't buy it but that's only because it's silver.
  4. I've never been much of a fan of black bonnets, just remind me of either foreign taxi's or crashed cars that are half way through being repaired
  5. I'm not sure offset changes the alignment, just how far in or out the wheel sits. Too much change however will ruin the drive and potentially cause the car to tramline all over the place.
  6. You dont know what you're missing! Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  7. I've never been a fan of the way the rear of the Zed is a little higher than the front. I would like to drop the back end, only by about 10mm or so to level it out. Is this possible? I don't want to go lower really on the front due to speed humps, just level. I remember back in the day stories of cutting down springs - which I can't see being a good idea but I did also hear of trimming down the rear bump stop seats which can help. Any ideas on a good safe way of doing this without affecting handling? Thanks
  8. Welcome. I'm pretty local too so happy to pop along. HFCs and a K1, you'll need earplugs!
  9. I believe RT are a trader on here with some good feedback - and a couple of not so good. Much like any other bodyshop I guess
  10. Supposedly but I've not done it on other cars and they've been fine so who knows. I'm just doing what I read on here. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  11. Fitted my new Brembo front pads and discs yesterday and took the car out this morning. Did half a dozen 50mph to almost zero stops in quick succession before coming to a junction that happened to have an old boy sitting there on a push bike. I stopped and glanced over and saw the look of fear on his face as he stared at my wheels! I look forward to see plumes of smoke billowing up from the wheels. I'm quite sure this must be normal considering what i'd done but if not please shout. Return journey was fine
  12. Shadow chrome for £25 - where? This finish costs a fortune
  13. I was in a car that was involved in an accident and had a thick black sun strip on the top of the screen. My biggest concern was the insurance not paying out as it made the car un-road worthy. Luckily they didn't even mention it and just paid out but it would still concern me
  14. I like these! Just wonder what they'd cost though before reaching the car. £600 for the wheels, at least the same again on tyres plus £200 minimum for refurb. Suddenly they don't seem so cheap - for me anyway, but maybe I'm just tight.
  15. Thanks Shezza, I'll drop him a message. Quite happy with it really!!!
  16. Saw this knocking around on eBay recently. Put in a low bid and as the only bidder, I won it for 99p. Will chuck it on later and see how it looks. Might need one of those collars that I've seen someone on here doing. Can anyone remember who it was? Thanks
  17. I thought about one before getting the Zed. Bug eye is too ugly, hawk eye - too many horror stories of the 2.5 engine. However I saw a few blobs and they're 10 years old and weren't in great shape. Also I wonder if there is too many electrics at that age that could start going wrong and costing lots - put me off in the end.
  18. Just get new struts. I kept getting attacked by my boot, now I need two hands to close the bugger
  19. Hi Cezar. If you google SGS boot struts, they sell the updated struts to keep youer boot open.
  20. I moved to Admiral this year , who accepted my few mods - Nismo Kit, 19's, HFC, intakes - but I must be honest, their service was absolutely shocking!
  21. Personally I'd keep the lot red including the air intake in the bumper - that's the only bit I'd change Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  22. Often the thick foam ones aren't the best cleaners. I used Chemical Guys honeydew for a while but woulnt recommend it. The cheapo demon shine stuff did a better job. Now using autofoam and it's the best so far. None will get your car ultra clean, they are just a pre wash, but fun to use so I continue with them.
  23. Surely a paintless dent removal company could get that out so as to avoid the risk of a bad paint match?
  24. Good work Bradders, saw this on FB the other night. Coldel, nowt wrong with pink cars, I had this for 7 years
  25. There's a white one a mile or so away from me but with black wheel, looks so nice!
