Nissan specify, in their workshop manual, that the rubber trim, rubber dam and plastic fastener should all be replaced whenever the windscreen is. I had my windscreen replaced last year and showed them the workshop manual and insisted they replace the parts. They agreed to pay for and change the parts and I asked to see the new parts before fitting to confirm. As a side note - make sure you take pictures before they touch your car as they managed to put a nice dent in my roof when they were fitting the new windscreen with a mallet.... Took me over 6 months to get them to pay for the repair! Hope this helps you!

I've seen the same Z there regularly as well! Never seem to see many driving around though

Thanks for the advice I will have a look into this, I've not had a dent removed before so I wasn't aware of this being a possibility! Thanks, Autoglass seem to be quite willing to help at the moment. Hopefully they continue to be helpful.....

I had my windscreen replaced by autoglass yesterday morning and all went well, except for the new dent they installed on the roof...... (he was fitting the top trim using a rubber mallet and missed the trim ) They have admitted liability and will pay to fix the damage. So are there any recommended bodyshops in the Milton Keynes area? Thanks!
