  1. Le Mans 24Hr 2016 http://www.24h-lemans.com/en/ So I went to my first Le Mans Trip earlier this year. Had a great time. Sun, Rain, Ferry's, Beer, Wine, Food, V8's, V10's, Camping, BBQ's Friends & of Course Racing. Quite a few others also went from the fourm, met up with some of them in the main square and had a great time. If others from here are planning on going was thinking we could organise camping pitches close together. People can do as they want during the day/night, but having our cars/base close by means we could mingle over a beer/BBQ etc. At the moment this is just an idea, would anyone be interested in coming along . . .?? This would not be a Z only meet as I am sure some people would choose not to take there Z. (Just for info I took mine and it all fitted, snuggly but fitted) Pit Lane walk on Friday Inspecting the Track!! Some Random Z Club Members! My Z Stickered Up at Ferry Terminal
  2. Whoooooaaaa. At least you are okay. All the best with replacement/fixing .
  3. Very Nice..Will it take 3 months to get it here??
  4. Thanks for sharing your experience. Although when mine happend it had been dry for days so no water/spray. Also I just have the standard airflow box. Hope yours sorts itself out. Since my issue I have driven 100miles and all seems fine, but I am keen to find the reason for the problem and it also seems to be hunting a bit on idle but not cutting out or so. Bit worried it could reoccur and leave me stranded somewhere again! - Going to carefully clean the MAF and Throttle body over the weekend and see if that helps. . . .
  5. Borderline I would say - Course or points could go either way. Pray to the car gods . . .
  6. Will give this a go. Cleaning the MAF and Throttle body. Can I use the same Carb Cleaner for cleaning the MAF? Have read many topics about cleaning the throttle body and MAF on here but I am unable to find an actual guide for doing it . . . anyone able to link me to a guide (if there is one)
  7. Come out very nicely. I do miss having a metallic car they glimmer so much more than my flat red paint. Good job
  8. So drove to work with fingers crossed. 15 miles, mix of stop start traffic town driving and clear motorway. All seemed fine. All fluid levels were okay too . . . . Did notice a little bit of 'hunting' on idle, not cutting out, but dropping to 500rpm then coming back to idle around 800rpm Any suggestions - bit worried it will happen again . .. . .
  9. I would agree with this, certainly seems that way. Would I be right in saying if it was air chances are the EML would come on for the mix? How would I go about checking the fuel pump?
  10. Left gym and car started fine. No issues/cause for concerns prior to this event. Got 500 yards down dual carriageway and engine seemed to cough and splutter a bit. Was around 3000rpm and tried to accelerate a bit more, engine didn’t seem to want to accelerate freely, almost like it was limping. Got to roundabout and the revs died as I came to a stop and engine cut out. Restarted car and engine started but idle was erratic. Went to push accelerator but every time press pedal Revs died from idle and cut the engine out! No warning lights or EML. Tried to restart a few times, same issue, lumpy idle, press accelerator and revs died. Called RAC out to have a look. He had a check of the engine etc and no issues he could see, all fluids fine. Started it up and surely enough did it again. (engine had cooled off a bit waiting 2 hours for Mr RAC). Then Mr RAC fired the Z up and gave it some revs, held it around 2500rpm, then he gave it a few blips around rev counter. Car was now idling as normal and seems fine! Drove it home about 10 miles, and no issues, felt like normal! (The RAC man followed me home, felt rather embarrassed). Questions: 1. Anyone else experienced something similar? 2. Could it be some dirt got into the fuel line and him revving it clearer it? 3. I will check oil, coolant etc in the morning ,anything else I should check? 4. Any other advice??
  11. Fairplay to you for giving it ago. Well done. I am sure it would drive me crazy attempting something like this
  12. Really Nice Droptop 370. What are you planning next?
  13. Nice car Adrian. Have to say I have never been sure on the GTR, however, whenever I see one I always smile and have admiration for the driver.
  14. Very nice GT86. Seeing more of these about now. Seem to be popular for modding like the Z's. As above, how is it compared to the Z?
  15. Car looks rubbish. Seats look great.
  16. I'm not a huge fan of black cars, but fairplay yours looks great. Very good power figures too.
  17. Really nice car (minus the scaffolding on the back ). . . . wish I had the cash . . . .certainly looks like a bargin for someone. GLWS
  18. I think this is a great idea. Plastic dip good alloys over winter. . . . . Shame I only have crappy Touring wheels so no point for me.
  19. Hope everything works out okay for you. Like others have said, its merely metal & plastic which is replaceable. People however are not. Good luck with insurance company and hope to see you in another Z.
  20. Great to see you all. 20 cars and 50 people. Quite amazing for a mini meet. Only joking, 4 people and 3 cars, its a start. Hopefully a few more join in next time. Was good to catch up with you, as always the Z club people are super friendly. Got a couple of pictures. . . . Nice evening at a pub overlooking the runnway of Staverton Airport waiting to see if anyone else is going to turn up . .. Some friends - Z370Z, Monkey and Masa. Masa's Z, with lots of plans and ideas for the future. . . . . Thanks all, think we should make this a regular thing. Maybe every month, 6 weeks or 2 months? Open to suggestions.
  21. I'll be down at Aviator around 19:00 too. Will be good to meet you all . . .
  22. Thanks. For me it finishes the rear of the Z off really nicely. Mitz is a top guy, its a good job he is not too close otherwise who know what else I would end up spending money on Well the great fit and finish is very much down to your help and guidance Chris, I said to the bodyshop this is what I want and nothing less will do, even printed out all your pictures of in progress for there reference. So you can pat yourself on the back for helping out. We obviously have great taste in our cars, same Apron on the 350Z, and want a set of Linea Corse LC818's like on your 370Z.
