True, but I know the current owner of that car and it is driven everywhere these days. The car was at the Donnington event I went to... link to thread is in the first post. The maniac owner drives one handed (its been modified for him - up and down shifts are on a single paddle on the one side - all done by SVM and topnotch work) must have scared the hell out of some of the passengers he took out

hahaa, my misunderstanding.... makes complete sense re-reading your post! They had cones up towards the end and there were lorries at the end, so you didnt want to mess it up. 99% of the time entry to the straight was comprised by slower cars, so starting speed was a lot lower. My GTR is only stage 4, 165mph was about the average, there was one nutter with engine and turbos done that claimed 200mph, but not sure.

That was just the last 6-8 cars that were on the track when the track closed, for the day we had in the region 15-18 cars. Fantastic day, great fun!

Need to sort out the videos, but it was a great day out! GTROC stand was the busiest throughout the entire day and raised nearly £3k from passenger rides! 167mph down the back straight was quite cool

should be entertaining When are you expecting to getting a work car (with the v8)? Sourcing my daily chugger this month, then Suzi will be off the road. I'm hopefully going for a modest C270d Merc. You may grow to love the ride comfort and the fuel economy But it will be DULL!! Saving money though by doing so and putting that cash towards the SC oh yes it will be.... but worth it!!!

This weekend, the GTR club is taking part in the ASDA Charity day at Bruntingthorpe. I have already considered this, which I'm thinking the Whipple producing 603bhp at the hubs and I think it's 550tq. $7-8000 for the kit, delivery and customs, including fitting and tuning I'd say around £7-8k - I can then pull a fuel tanker around, as it's likely to burn a whole load more fuel Sounds.......ummmmmmm..............PERFECT!!!

You are going to need the extra V8 power just too pull these electronics around! You may need to consider a supercharged V8 if you want to improve the performance

Very little is standard on the cosworth cars, massively overbuilt as its a factory special edition car.

Those are supposed to be something else.... but the turbo lag must be a pain! its running an anti-lag system now he's had a fair number of scoobs and this is just ballistic, far from stock though Me too I have had 4 and bought a 1 owner 10 year old 2 door sti for a friend a few years ago (which I had to test for him its now been converted to LHD, 22b widebodied and is currently being prepared to go rallying). Still have the love Anti-lag normally kills the turbo.... but the issue with 400bhp is generally the lag from the single turbo. Had my STI up to 380s and had quite a bit of lag, but when the turbo came on he was warned of that, but all seems well atm, tbh he doesnt really push it that often so he should be okay, yeah running 440bhp with nearly 500ft/lb is erm brisk haha Good to hear! I bet it is brisk
