  2. This will more than likely spend a bit of time at Slys place.... but thanks for the offer! oh yes.... will try!
  3. I took delivery of a South African import years ago. We got married and now have 3 kids some of us have all the luck!! doubtful Im only 35 Does look small.... probably 1000cc engine 1000CC ? Its a 2000cc sierra pinto engine OHC what are the plans.......first thing I would do is servo the brakes Was a sarcastic comment.... Not sure, get it here and see what its like is step 1, but the brakes sounds like a rather good place to start! Honestly dont know much about these cars, so it will also be a bit of a learning experience. Coming from South Africa I assumed sarcasm or schizophrenia due to you're first post

  5. "For the love of cars".... started out with an original mexico and wanted to do a rally rep, but not right for a mexico.... this one is not that, so rally rep would be cool Will be a slow project, as I am away for 4 weeks and technically looking for a 2nd car to import with this one - save a lot on shipping!

  10. Will add the progress to this thread
  11. Well the purchase has gone through and the car is going to be shipped in the next few weeks, so figured it was time to put up a bit of a teaser of my new project. Still waiting for a shipping date. Wanted one of these for quite some time now, along with a couple of others (hopefully more on these a little later)........... Not sure what I am going to do with it, but it will be a fun little toy Will need a few mods to get it road legal over here, but has just gone through a bare metal restore and is currently running a Sierra 2.0l engine.
  12. Thanks for that Have seen that before.... Litchfield had something very similar, but it got ripped off at 180mph, so they are re-designing the supports.
  13. The place I have seen 100c drop in temps, is info that Nissan has released (no data, just "info")... I have not seen the track pack ducting behind the bumper, but I have yet to see any hard evidence. Hence why I am going custom. But wouldnt mind seeing the ducting and deflectors thats on the track pack - always good for ideas Keep in mind that the new bumper is additional ducting for the brakes, but also for more front-end down force and a more aggressive (and very different) look to the car.
  14. Have other plans for the actual caliper cooling, but want to see if I can get the front bumper looking right before I go down that route. Also want something more aggressive on the front to match the rear spoiler I am planning. Last I heard, the track pack ducts were not actually ducted to the calipers....... You heard wrong as they work very well. Alex. Not from everything I have read.... Yes there is holes for ducting, but theres no piping to calipers..... If it is ducted, then I am wrong (but not seen anything to show otherwise), but still not quite what I want and my plans are different anyway.

  16. have updated the the subject, as I also have a rear spoiler project that is underway I have the rear mount made and its attached to the rear chassis and crash bar (very solid) and all hidden behind the number plate Looking for a custom rear spoiler as well.... will need to have the struts/arms and the blade made/customized (something like this):-
  17. hmmmm, have a fiesta, but no plan is for the spare to go onto the GTR. Been looking for something similar to the Nismo GT3 bumper, but cannot find anything - if I could find it, I would rather buy it.... something like this (this is wide-bodied, I want something similar for the standard body and separate ducts for front brake cooling):-
  18. I have a spare front bumper for my GTR and looking to do a bit of a project with it, but I dont have the skills to complete. Any fibre glass specialists local(ish) to Redhill?
  19. On the group buy for the exhaust
  20. Sounds good. How much did that install come in at? £270 or so, but still need Sly to hide all the wires
  21. Shame this is going to take so long..... looking forward to the results and the full list of parts required
  22. that was the problem I found when looking at something similar
  23. I just bought a RoadHawk HD for the GTR for a roadtrip in May and ASDA charity day in August. Forward facing camera and rear facing (this one will be in the front aimed at the passenger ), WIFI connection to phone/tablet and quality is rather good from tests... will post some videos of the raodtrip +-15 GTRs driving through Europe.
