  1. bump for the exhaust.... anything decent second hand going? Ideally leaving standard cats in place.
  2. Its around sure we could arrange something
  3. Free to anyone who wants to collect, Im near Redhill in Surrey
  4. That should be the primary selling feature....
  5. reminds me of the Carver One....
  6. looking like it got the front caliper block so all sorted on the brake front. Just the wheels left....
  7. will only be for track and events, so will be easy to remove looking for a place to do the remainder today
  8. no spoiler on the car, yet..... the mount has been made though
  9. So the 350z is booked in for the end of April with Sly for a few changes:- BC coilovers 370z brakes all round Rota wheels (from Tarmac) and hopefully an exhaust if I can find one.
  10. Quick update.... had the 2012 suspension fitted and quite a noticeable difference, pretty much what I wanted comfort is more comfortable, race is not as harsh and normal is somewhere inbetween. Also had the first stage of the custom rear spoiler done - the mounting to the chassis is done and is completely hidden next I need to find an aero specialist to build the rest of it. Any recommendations?
  11. if its just a bit more noise you're looking for, cobra resonated will fit the job perfectly - I've recently swapped from standard to cobra resonated and it sounds just lovely, definitely a good place to start! if you do decide you need more/different noise later on down the road, you can always flog the cobra and upgrade. Thanks.... pretty much the plan, just didnt know what to get with a limited budget
  12. Some nice roads up that way I more of a Cape Town person, but hey ho
  13. It's all good plus you've got the GTR. Exactly why I dont want to spend too much on the 350z.... would rather spend the money on a full TI exhaust for the GTR, to save the weight. And if all goes to plan, I will have 2 project cars on their way over from overseas in the next few weeks
  14. Thanks, but for double the price, I don't see the benefit. I just want a little bit of life to the sound of the car. I would rather spend the money on a track day
  15. Thanks Dont want to spend a fortune, but £3-400 will work. Forget the Invidia then. Good luck and hope you get the sound you want. Definitely not the one for me.... would like to, but just cannot justify the price, considering the car. Thanks Dont want to spend a fortune, but £3-400 will work. I'd go with the Cobra system, it'll fit the bill perfectly, see here - http://www.350z-uk.c...m-cougar-store/ Looks decent, will the sound change much if I go for the resonated midpipe and backbox? Im assuming the carbon tips are extra...
  16. Thanks Dont want to spend a fortune, but £3-400 will work. So will the midpipe and the rear box be enough? Will it also keep the noise down within trackday limits?
  17. With having upgraded the jspec brakes to Akebono brakes all-round, jspec suspension to BC coilovers and the 17" standard wheels soon to be replaced by a set of 18/19s, I know need to sort out my last issue with the 350z....... the sound. The exhaust is stock and the car sounds very boring, very plain.... I dont want to worry about MOTs, so complete decats are out. I dont want to worry about track day noise limits, so nothing too noisy. What can I do to get a bit of life/sound to the 350z?
  18. coilovers sorted thanks peteman35!!!
  19. After not feeling the 350z love for the first few months of ownership and posting a for sale ad, I have finally started to feel the love. The road aspect of the car is still not to my taste, but after doing an intro to drifting there is a spark.... so, will stick with the 350z for a little longer. Currently have the 370z brakes. Collecting some coilovers over the weekend and will be ordering some wheels soon. Hoping that this helps with the road characteristics a little and makes the car more fun for drifting and some track days.
  20. Hahaa, yes.... used to work there, still park there
  21. To be honest I'm fed up with modifying cars....it's a never ending cycle . I just want something I can drive and enjoy that will hold up pretty well on road and track! I got to that point didnt last long.... I bought the 350z for commuting and day-to-day driving, having my other car for fun and long drives. At first I didnt get on the Z, but then I went a intro to drifting day and it was great fun! So have decided to keep the car, do a few choice mods (brakes, coilovers and wheels) and will use it to learn a few tracks and get a start in drifting Will lighten the car as I go.... still needs to be used on the road.
