Did a similar repair myself on my old Impreza years ago. Prolonged the life of the exhaust nicely, ...well until I bought a stainless steel one anyway. Was funny though as when I took mine to a garage once the mechanic there said; "you know someones clamped a baked bean can around the exhaust as a repair" I said "yeah I know, I did that".

That look's bl**dy gorgeous and I've never seen number plates like that before, ...very cool. GLWTS.

Oh yeah somebody definitely nicked them I'm sure of that. I was thinking about it earlier, ...after I came off the track I parked up with the bonnet up & went round the car looking at brake disc condition. Certain I would have noticed them gone then if they had. Nothing I can do about it now though or even if I had noticed it at Combe that day. Hopefully Karma will get the thieves one day.

£12.99 for each cap including postage so not too bad but still basically £25 I didn't want to spend. Still darn sight cheaper than the Enkei RPF1 caps which I've seen are £25 a piece.

I had a spare wheel fall off a car in front of me once with no chance of avoiding it with traffic I had to run straight over it which damaged my gearbox linkage. Cheap fix though (hammer). Either way however they went missing I've now messaged "RareRims" to see how much they can do them for a good forum member. Hopefully a little cheaper than what they have them advertised for on eBay.

I actually like that idea more than the thought of some tea leaf having them.

Just to add, well I said it was a bit "chavy", ....just noticed two of my Rota center caps have been pinched so that just goes to prove it. Unlikely to have happened here last night where I live so must of happened at Combe whilst the car was parked up. Bl**dy thieving scum.

Yep I think you're right Ian. Also just noticed some thieving scum bag has taken two of my Rota center caps. Not likely to have happened here last night so that probably happened at Combe & I just didn't notice.

Totally agree their driving was dangerous at times but unfortunately for whatever reason they got away with it. I think next time I do a track day I might have to just stump up a bit more cash and do a proper one like Keyser/Ekona/Brillo/Ken etc do. Probably be more fun then anyway.

That's the best way to get the best price. Usually they will low ball you at first so some people have to reject the first few offers from the insurance until they get an offer they're happy with. My one & only claim on insurance some 15 years ago, I found that it was on the third offer that I finally got a fair price for my car. Good luck.

Thanks for that. Even though it was brief you can still nicely hear the V6, ...even over all the other cars & tyre screeching. He was on at least 3 different sessions from what I saw of him so that's why I didn't understand why he wasn't pulled aside for his driving. It was a really busy day though for track laps and seemed a little undermanned to me. Oh well at least I & everyone else seemed to avoid coming together with the rust bucket.
