  1. Get one, great looking saloon... I was looking for a Brera Prodrive till I bought my Zed on a whim...yes it will go wrong at some point, think the power steering reservoir is one issue and dpf if fitted..later ones were better but prices jump up from the earlier ones.....or get a Brera..

If you find one other known issues are clutch can wear quickly (the Brabus does has tougher friction linings on the plate though), gearboxes, headgaskets..don't get one with any mods..and check the wheels, they are as soft as cheese and bend really easily. Other than that great handling well equipped small car.
  3. I had a Forfour for a few years as a daily driver, super reliable because its all Mitsubishi based clocked up 100k miles with no problems in it...actually loved driving it. The Brabus is a bit more fragile though and a lot of the parts are different, if they are ragged all the time and not looked after they become a bit unreliable...but I would have one as a daily again..

  7. Hmmm, thought the whole point of an Elise is to drive it hard, he wouldn't like a Zed then.

  9. What I did notice when using aerosol was if I put a heavy build up of base before the clear coat it did have a very slight purple tinge at certain angles, but if I powdered it in to blend the purple went...not a painter so not quite sure how it all works..
  10. No not on the Min, thats running and old Shorrock blower...must admit I do prefer working with carbs/dizzys and not ECU's..The M90 was going on a 6R4 replica I was building running an old Renault V6,,never finished it though.
  11. Same problem with mine, front end bonnet and passenger door were done and the shade is slightly darker. I did the chips on my skirts with aerosol with the paint code and that is the same shade as the panels I had painted, I think there may be a few different shades where the OE paint seems to be lighter than the mixes.
  12. yep, exhaust and air filter (panel type not cone) std cats at the moment but berks ready to go on, would have thought it would lean out though unless it's over compensating.
  13. Noticed what smells like an over rich fuel mixture with my window open when accelerating fairly hard but not full throttle. Anyone else get this?
  14. DTV (disc thickness variation) are the peaks and troughs in the surface of the disc. Usual cause is heavy breaking whilst bedding in new discs and pads causing overheating. The cast structure of the disc needs to go through gentle heat cycles to relax the structure of the disc.

  16. Had a look at those last week they are Greddy STYLE in the description, so copies not genuine.
  17. Looking forward to getting my Berks from Tarmac, also have a Nismo system and Motordyne non res XYZ, the sound at the moment is nice at high revs but needs just as bit more..hoping the Berks will be just right..
