  1. Rich - they weren't cheapo generic sensors - proper NTK branded at £85 each from memory. Thanks, but why would they have been fine for the last 6 months, plus the other sensor is still OK?
  2. Thanks Alex. What are O2 simulators? Are the O2 sensors not required at all with HFCs?
  3. Sorry, should have said... they're Berks HFC, two and a half years old
  4. I replaced both heated O2 sensors in March and one has been repeatedly throwing a P1146 error for month already. Before I contact NTK (orOpie as retailer?), is it likely to be a faulty sensor or could it be something else (e.g. Cat)? Any thoughts and ideas welcome. Cheers, Howard
  5. Is it an import? Looks like a UK GT spec (BOSE, cruise control judging by 6 buttons on the steering wheel) but manual seats rather than electric??
  6. Another thumbs for up for SGS. Mine going strong after 2 years, and they were cheaper than a quote from a breaker yard!
  7. Whoa...! I'm about to hit 110k. What's going to happen?
  8. Result The joys of the inner workings of the ECU eh? I did it about 7 times, all with the CEL light flashing as it should, before it actually seemed to 'take'.
  9. It's one of several pedal dances - it's a hoot, especially when you don't time it j-u-s-t right... Best use a watch with a second hand. Good luck
  10. Have you changed anything recently, or cleaned the throttle body? If the idle has always been high try the idle air volume reset. Do it once the car is warmed up and all switches (fan especially) are off. Mine idles at around 1500 cold and within 30 seconds drops to maybe 1200, then 800 when warm. If you have Air Con switched on it raises the idle a bit...
  11. Mods - please lock this thread. Thanks for the replies.
  12. Nice Another for Cobra (+ Berks). Great sound for the money
  13. Not sure this is taking the Z in the direction I want to see it go But you pays your money and takes your choice...
  14. PS. the two rocker covers are most definitely handed, so you can't use the one with the oil cap on the driver's side (not least because you need the PCV valve on the driver's side cover)
  15. Hi mate, Are you looking because you have an oil leak into one of the spark plug holes? If so, there's a repair kit that can do both rocker covers from Adrian at Torqen for £149 - have a look in the Tech forum for further info if you're interested. The hassle is getting the rocker cover off, the fix itself is easy.
  16. Hi Dave, welcome Here's the workshop manual section relating to the wiper and washer system: page 4 shows you the location of the fuse. Separate washer motors but both run through fuse 84.
  17. Nice! Are you selling them or just teasing me?
  18. Good point - what are the chances of both pumps failing together?
  19. Mine gave up a couple of weeks ago. Front washer pump was £7.44 inc P&P from Euro Car Parts here Simple job - remove the front half of your front driver side arch guard and pull out the old pump from the recess in the washer bottle, disconnect and reconnect the pipe, re-seat the pump and bob's your uncle But if your wash bottle is full it will drain out all over your drive ( / leg, as above ), so if poss drain the bottle first.
  20. I feel for you I still regret selling a Caterham ten years ago - hugely impractical but it was a cracker for high days and holidays. Needed the cash at the time though...
  21. I'm happy to do either - I have the standard 6-spoke alloys although to be honest they're not in great condition (some bubbling and scuffs). Cheers, Howard
  22. I'd be interested in a set of Rays 18" alloys if anyone is thinking of selling some. Also an unscratched cubby lid (for a 2004 Coupe). (got this now, thanks to Luke ) I've got both now. Moderators - please can you lock this thread? Thanks, Howard
  23. Think the clue is in the Transformers badge on the boot. It can obviously transform into something else with 350 BHP, a BMW X5 perhaps?
