  1. No issues at all man, still using the same pads and discs now as a daily with no problems. Have you considered nitrac discs? And Carbotech pads? The nitrac discs are custom made and are guaranteed for track use. I would highly recommend them and will be investing in some when I need to replace mine. Also the Carbotech pads (I had xp12) were unbelievable. Again I'm going to get a set when I need to replace. I had that set up with braided lines and ate superblue on my old mini with jcw calipers (not brembos) and they were brilliant.
  2. I'm running ds2500, standard discs, standard lines and ATE superblue fluid and coped fine round brands on a hot day. Did a cool down lap before coming into the pits and the discs are fine still.
  3. I'm surprised it's getting a bashing on here for being chavvy after seeing some of the bodykits on this forum!! I personally really like it a lot! Edit double post
  4. Yeah bright and overdriven. Passed the MOT no problem the tester just commented "diddn't realise these came with LED's as an option" Hethought they were totally OEM. They look oem. Did you use resistors to make the lights flash at the normal speed? I guess using LEDs will have less resistance and the ecu will think a bulbs gone?
  5. I really like the flashing tacho for the gear change and the led rear indicators. What have u done about the red fog light? Got some bright red LEDs I presume?
  6. Do they fit any y pipe back system? Buddy club for example?
  7. My buddyclub with bungs out and sports cats was miles under. I cant imagine it gets much louder with decats either, although ive never heard one.
  8. How much for the decats? I'm only round the corner so can collect. Plus if the door card buyer pulls out il definitely take them and swap my good ones! Josh
  9. I use dodo juice clay lube, and clay bar from i4detailing. Cheap to get the concentrated dodo juice and lasts forever! Then the clay bar is cheap too. No point getting an expensive one coz you should only use it a couple of times anyway due to the nature of picking up grit and stuff from the paint. Completely defeats the object if you start rubbing that over the paint again next time!
  10. did anyone get any pics of these fitted? im considering one..
  11. yeah minimum id say.. but did you save your 10% on asda shopping?
  12. The crash wasnt on the old bridge, it was on the new one. It was quite foggy earlier but as said people not driving to the conditions.
  13. I came from a mini cooper s and although speed wise its not all that different, the driving style is. Took a while to learn rwd over fwd having never owned rwd before
  14. I had them on my mini and they were awesome. I had Carbotech pads too and they were locking up at 90 with decent tyres and jcw calipers on track. When I need some discs there's no doubt I'd get another set. Recommend 100% Mine were also very good lasting even with an aggressive pad compound.
  15. I see what youre saying, but tyre pressures is something most people check during a track day anyway so i was just sharing my findings, and regards to the brake temps, I just find it interesting to see how hot the brakes will get at different tracks and as my experience increases. 8 I was referring to the camera, the lap timer etc rather than tyre pressures.. The brakes are a weird one, unfortunately I can't offer any advice coz I'm not that familiar with the z brembo set up
  16. He's already on the list 😜my mate from Maidstone Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  17. ^ this, a good mate of mine works for smart repair and has done a few panels for me on the mini. he said as long as its all cured properly its fine. It's when it hasn't been baked it needs to cure for a couple of days.
  18. Get rid of the run flats and it will make it a much better car. Miss my supercharged one a bit tbh! Nice buy
  19. Instead of trying to record all this data and thinking about lots of different stuff, why don't you just get some good hours behind you and really learn to control the car? Then you might have some consistant data to review. Solve the brake issue then get back out there for a few days. Just me..
  20. I'm 22 and only pay £650 for insurance with admiral, all mods declared and insured. It was more for me to insure my modified mini jcw than to insure the z!
  21. just thought id update this with a couple of pics from the day, if anyone else has any put them up plz! managed to get the front and rear discs glowing on the braking point up to druids and here's just a couple of other ones with the road wheels back on!
  22. How was the set up at brands? Good to see your beast and sounded great when I was watching!
  23. If the brake fluid hasn't been changed lately then that would be my suggestion. Don't want to be coming to a bend and the pedal hits the floor.
