  1. So, you've just decided on/completed your next mod; you're ecstatic and want the whole forum to know and let you bask in the glory of your genius. Except the idea is/was a bad one or you've been overcharged. Would you want to know? This has lots of levels I guess, there have been plenty of people who have had terrible paint matches done, terrible quality bodywork, been clearly massively overcharged, have some silly plans that won't work, have silly plans which have worked, have been taken for a ride or are delusional. Provide examples, and lets see what the consensus is? I was MASSIVELY overcharged by a trader on here once, I was suddenly presented with a HUGE bill when I'd asked to be notified if it went over a set amount. I knew it but couldn't realistically do anything about it afterwards, so I've kept quiet and have never gone back, but I do warn people where possible. If I hadn't realised it myself, I'd want to know for sure and I'd have received the mickey taking as par for the course. Keep it not too serious if possible
  2. awesome work finding that, very 2006 graphics
  3. the problem with plastidip (from what I've seen with my own eyes, not just over the net) is that it's impossible to lay it perfectly smooth, because it's so much thicker than paint, even when it's had thinners used. It lays really orange peel-y and obviously you can't polish that out, because you'll just remove the dip. Aahh I see, I haven't really seen a car done with it in the flesh on close inspection. Wrap certainly sounds more durable. You can almost see it here: Up close it's like this:

  5. there was one at players which had been done white, it basically looked like this: All of the cars I've seen it on have looked really bad, both professionally done and home.
  6. honestly dude, spend the little bit extra and get wrap. Plastidip looks rubbish so quickly
  7. One exception is, I bought a car from a family returning to Australia. They had 3 cars for sale, and nearly every single item in their house was too I ended up leaving with a car and a load of games/dvd's in the back. I was never arrested for any of them, so it definitely was their stuff to sell
  8. who WOULD you trust in a sex dungeon?!
  9. they're illegal, but MOST (certainly not all!!) places/people will turn a blind eye to
  10. Then.... wait for it.... don't buy it... Crying about it on the internet isn't going to do anything. Edit: spelling
  11. Poor trader if he's owned it a whole month. Tradelink struggle to keep them for 2 weeks they sell so fast. Except that Japspeed one
  12. Maybe his financial situation changed? Didn't like the car, cost too much to run, found something better... Many reasons why you'd only have a car for a month. I had a punto when I first passed my test and the seat gave me a horrible bad back. Sold it and got an A4 about a month later. I wasn't a trader
  13. I never understood why people get offended by having fake wheels. If they fit on the car and are round, technically they aren't fake wheels, they're fake enkeis, to be fake wheels they'd have to be square or something
  14. You may have purchased them recently under the impression that they are real and spent the additional money for them? He could be doing you a favour, you don't have to take everything as a mark on you or your car. Or he could just be being a badge snob
  15. this made me laugh, and then I thought about how mad I get when people do it in forza, great point
  16. Not going to lie, but if it's still the no swearing because minors might see rule, I'd say that degrading pictures of women would probably cause more issues than a few nasty words would... Yeah, we're going to create a bunch of serial rapists because they will assume that women deserve no respect because of a stripper posted on a forum. My point exactly, so what can seeing a nasty word do if a picture will do nothing at all?

  18. I only did the Lydden round, but Driftcup was awesome, really well run and the judges were great for advice etc. I'd honestly really recommend it. Lock is all standard for me, most of the car is really, I'm only now STARTING to get to where I need more. I'm going to the states in March so going to get some front adjustable camber arms in a hope that will help as I've been struggling with front end grip. I'll also invest in some better front tyres for next year too as I've been running budgets all year. I've never drifted anything other than this Z, so every event is a massive learning curve for me.
  19. Oh Matt.... that is the point, if the lights flash then the ABS is on and the car is braking HARD! That's why the OP got a bit of short shrift because if you were behind him and his brake lots flashed you could put the anchors on and get rear ended while the OP just carries on as he only touched his brakes... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm To be fair, the Youtube video doesn't do it justice, I.e. camera, light glare etc - Makes it hard to judge. I just think flashing a bright light in my eyes isn't going to help I'd rather (and I'm sure there is a car that does this) brake lights that get brighter with more pressure on the braking. I think all lights should have rings of LED's that illuminate from the centre outwards, more LED's illuminated means harder braking.
  20. Amen to that! Amen to the Amen to that!
  21. They flash when the abs kicks in
  22. Bob posted the green one only a page back
