I'm getting worried about the high levels of knowledge on cars displayed by non car type people - there was me feeling all superior as I descried how the phalange joint multiplier integrated with the thrust vectoring torsion drive, and enjoying the look of awe I was getting. Now I realise they were just looking at me thinking what is this p****k talking about I know more about cars than him. Now running off to learn some really obscure fact about cars so I can feel superior again - will need to cross reference that with the "things you didn't know" thread in case you have read that as well. Somewhat ironically when it came to the red colour, all the girls noticed it on the 'cluster' - I wonder if any wanted it changed out for blue or their favourite colour or the like though (prepares for backlash! ) So then we'd need a new thread... If they changed it to blue/pink/whatever would the name of this line change? If I was sat down the pub talking about green lining my car, people would think I was mental; or that I'd put some dodgy viper stripes on it....

Ring admiral for a quote. Get the numberplate of the car and give it an HPI check, that should tell you. If not, get the VIN number and ring nissan they'll be able to tell you for sure.

That's not the first time I've been told. I do feel pretty bad if the bloke is genuinely unaware of what the redline is but I mean come on, that's like not knowing what a banjo string is. Let's just hope he hasn't snapped his banjo string

Also, original car registrations can be hand completed, so say someone with bad writing submitted the registration doc to the DVLA, it could have read 350z GT (As some do) but it was misread to say ST....

I do find the search function quite laborious sometimes. When I'm looking for an old thread, say a couple of months, it can take some proper digging to find the correct one. I can't imagine what it's like finding one when you don't know what to search for.

Removing this rev limiter is possible, but can prove very costly. Tampering with it isn't advised either, especially if it's not your own.... Also, further from this, experimenting to see if other peoples rev limiters are better or worse is not advised.

There's also a shift light as standard on the 350z, which will illuminate - as a light does - and flash to tell you when to change gear. You can manually change the flash point of the light too so that you can get the perfect shift for your driving.

Curious, what do you call the red line then? I call it the line of red, as that's what it is. Careful of the moving one, as that's just the needle, that tells you the important bit, like when it gets close to the rev limiter line, which is red.
