  1. https://www.zeckhausen.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=6446_6565 Before you go funding a bbk have a read of the above. In reality the Brembo set up is very very good for actual stopping power, i doubt there isnt an owner on here that couldnt stamp on the std set up and get it to lock up and get the abs working so how is a bbk going to stop you any quicker? Tyres are also worth consideration when it comes to stopping, sticky tyres are going to stop you quicker too. A bbk will come into its own with continued use and heat dissipation, i.e less fade for continued stopping power, I would also say you get better pedal feel too but a lot of that will be down to pads used. Personally unless i was tracking the zed 90% of the time the std set up with decent pads, discs, lines and fluid is more than adequate, you would be better off following that route with perhaps some thoughts to ducting and additional cooling. As per your brake thread, get rid of those ebc pads and get some ds2500, ds3000 or rc5+ pads in, change the fluid and lines and pretty sure you will be more than satisfied with the results.
  2. Might well be, but sounds like he was waiting a while anyway
  3. Personally i would hold till the exchange rate comes back a bit, loosing 50 yen to the £ makes a fair bit of difference when your talking a few hundred thousand yen
  4. Pretty sure your key is coded to your ecu and i wouldnt say it was worth any more than a std one tbh as a map is car and mod specific.
  5. I have met a lot of people who are obsessed with earning money, they reach their target, lets say, a million a year and then its, i want to earn 2 million next, they will never be happy with the lifestyle its providing so will always want to earn more, i guess if you get to that stage your f*****d as you are never happy with your earnings. A mate of mine was offered a well paid position within the company he worked for in their Bermuda office, 2 year minimum contract, pay was 50% more and tax free, he genuinely struggled with the decision but decided, 2-5 years would see him mortgage free and a nice nest egg, that was 10 years ago. The problem is, he misses home but knows he will miss his tax free wages and the lifestyle its giving him, i actually dont think he will come back until he can afford to retire now. I dont live to work, i work to live and made that choice very early in my life.
  6. Try zmanalex for some oem 2nd hand replacements.
  7. Any lightweight flywheel set up from a recognised brand with be fine, i.e exedy, extreme, driftworks etc etc, speak to some of the traders on here, tarmac sportz, clarke motorsport for example.
  8. His take on the womans one is a lot simpler https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjBuicfuJ8I
  9. None of those issue going for a lightweight fly and uprated clutch (exedy or extreme are highly regarded and have had both)
  10. P.s your clutch problem is probably more a worn flywheel, i had exactly the same
  11. This sums that up pretty well Very much liking the Ings rear bumper lip and spoiler
  12. What discs do you use with CL's as they don't make their own discs are far as I'm aware? Tom I didnt use them on the 350, but i know Docwra swears by them, i would be happy using any decent aftermarket disc with them however.
  13. ^^ Making the new silencer to fire out through the rear diffuser into the tarmac rather than out the back as standard so following a similar theory, worst case scenario i will also have two small slip on silencers with a 90degree bend to silde up over the exits which i can secure to the metal diffuser.
  14. Ebc dont tend to work well on heavy cars, dont ask me why. I have just switched from years of ds2500 which i thought were a great pad to Carbon Lorraine Rc5+ pads and they are another level, bite is impressive and zero fade even on heavy track use.
  15. All depends on your definition of loud i guess, but i dont consider my car at full chat being the same db as a lawnmower defined as loud, i dont want it both ways, just reasonable, sensible and achievable to test I will face the same problems when i plan to do some motorsport events next year, so its not just trackdays and whilst it may be easy to say, make your car quiet, its just not that easy unless i want to loose a considerable amount of hp (100hp or so) or pay huge sums of money for someone to develop a system.
  16. Just for reference a lawnmower is 100 db, so my car is quieter than a lawnmower
  17. ^^ Absolutely, wind direction etc I honestly dont think there is a right or wrong, would just be beneficial for all to know what we should expect so we can all prepare and turn up with cars that pass as you say in your first post, then there can be no grey area. Muting the life out of any car just to get on track to me is just ridiculous, we might as well enter gangzooms world of electric at that point and give up entirely. Stood in the pits at Goodwood i honestly couldnt hear anything except for cars going down the straight, being Goodwood is 11500 acres i have zero idea how anyone can hear what i didnt further away!
  18. And there in lies the problem, a static test follows the same standard, .5mtr at 45 degress, we can all test for that, drive bys are vague, no more than 10 meters (so could be one metre), next to buildings, etc etc
  19. Sadly thats probably very true.
  20. Sorry but thats just not accurate, I was comfortably below the static where as my mate was on the limit and had no issues, a static test bears no relation to under load. But yes, once bitten etc and will endeavour to configure something that works, trust me though I dont actually enjoy or want my car loud, a 4 cylinder isnt exactly pleasant like a nice v6, v8, but this is kind of the point, my car isnt "loud" and if some std cars are struggling I just think its excessive. Yeah i would like to see the nimbys try and shut goodwood down and watch the value of their homes plummet and the area be void of any significant interest and income.
  21. So of course you will say yes, but do you think a whatever gen Porsche mentioned could be described as loud, I wouldnt say they were at all.
  22. Thats a semi open pitlane, open pitlanes the circuit is always running.
  23. Yep 4 total, but i did leave at 3.30, my mate stayed on and got one more in before close of play. I went Saturday, quite a few red flags, some even to let transits etc onto the track as they were clearing from the revival, very poor as advertised as an open pit.
  24. Its not loud but its not quiet either. I did spend two laps with my mate finding the three as of course they wont tell you were they are and 2 out of three are corner exits were normally you would be on the gas. I managed to drive round them, got over the wrong side of the track so to speak and waited till past but obviously its not quite the same experience, such a shame as the track is genuinely ace and quick too, the final corner and straight are brilliant.
