From experience 18's are definitely better, but, imho 19's are perfectly fine for road pace, you only really notice a substantial difference on track where very quick direction change is required.

This a completely seperate thread and if he is reading, he is probably thinking, I am glad I didnt take veilsides 5k valuation
-
Everyone is a massive exaggeration and one of the 2 people that did, suggested they be at £5k, which is exactly why its a bad idea and not at all helpful and as before, if someone is feeling that high and mighty and needs their ego massaging (read "helpful") and feel the need to say something, why not do it via pm, its more personal and doesnt clutter a thread

I would and have paid anywhere from £250-£350 for a bumper paint/repair

My rally driving buddy has a project under way with one of these for next years season, he is going with a Honda motor, think a 1.8 Intergra lump etc as that is what he knows. Apparently most parts are available off the shelf from the states. He turned his last project, a Davrian with 1.6 Honda lump into a class winning car and also won a few events outright, up against ex wrc cars and the like so be interested to see how it turns out.

No that it wasnt expected i guess http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/motorsport/34676966

Think Torqen sells them
-
Some information is expected of course, mot, service history, mileage etc Camy mentioned why he has two cars, no need to ask, especially if you are not a buyer. Opinions differ, i have given my reasons as to why, i hope the mods will discuss its merits.
-
"Why are you selling?" is a genuine question I think anyone would ask when buying a car if not already stated. Whenever I have sold cars I would always note the reason for sale, whether it be "I just fancy a change" or "I require something more practical" etc. I think codel pretty much nailed it anyway. I hadn't seen the thread in question until just now and I do get how some of it is kind of unhelpful. You're going to get it anywhere though and to be fair, the comments on this forum are nowhere near the texts / emails you get from the eBay / PH moron brigade. The forum provides all the mechanisms to avoid the above if you so wish, I can't really see where the issue is.... The why are you selling didnt get asked, he got asked, why have you got two cars, are you a trader etc, perhaps fair comment if you wanted to BUY, but it was already said, one was his, one was his girlfriends. Agree with the ebay thing, but it is getting worse on here in the time i have been here hence why i believe it needs to be stopped, its all well land good having an opinion, nothing wrong with that and if you really feel obliged to let the owner know, pm them, as soon as price is "discussed" opneely it will become like his thread.

What has it got to do with anyone on here how many cars a member has or why he has them? Its a for sale thread, not a breaking thread, if you want to chance your arm and see if he wants to sell parts, pm the dude, not clutter the add. I have no idea why people think because its a "forum" a for sale add is open for discussion about price or anything else, its items/zeds FOR SALE an advertisement, not, have a chat about what your "opinion" is on price or items. I see absolutely no logic that because its a forum an "advert" is open for discussion. If that is the theory as said before, there are plenty of cars advertised for sale in the world, fill your boots if you think their poorly priced

Horses scare the life out of me, horse riding friends would often comment about how dangerous riding a motorbike was and always said you would never get me on a large animal with a mind of its own. Very pleased to hear all is well, i have nothing but positives to say about a&e, they were certainly 100% on it when i was wheeled through the door with bits of me pointing in the wrong direction, the only thing i thought it lacked was after care, but you cant have everything for a free service
-
Absolutely, but that is worlds away from offering opinion on values, discussion about the item, especially when opinions on value can differ so drastically and your right, it is a great community, but as before, if your looking out for a fellow member and feel they have over priced their item, it doesnt need to be pubically discussed, a pm wil do. To be fair, if a member cant work out their item for sale isnt shifting because of price, telling them isnt going to make much difference anyway, but on the particular add in question the comments were posted within 12 hours and that was overnight and to add insult to injury he was then questioned as to why he had 2 cars for sale There were even comments about do you want to sell some parts, which again I had when selling my car, its not a breaking add either. Speaking all from very bitter experience of a good car sliding into the wrong price bracket and its the start of that slippery slope.
-
The thread was tidied, keep up. Would you go to someones house, stand in front of them and tell them, your not interested in buying their item but, its @*!# or not worth what their asking?
-
The comments werent positive, items still sold, but had they been left on, maybe they wouldnt
-
No, the comments were not about price, just redunant comments about what people thought of them, 2 sold, 1 is still for sale
-
There is a vast difference telling someone their 2nd hand item can be bought for x which is close to what they are asking and sharing an opinion openly on value which in this instance wasnt even like they were too far off the mark. Imho thats trolling, which there are rules against. As said, from experience very recently, it is becoming far more common, I think from memory I have 3 threads cleaned in the last 2 months, it is a slippery slope for a free for all, that is not the concept of an add in a for sale section, forum or not. An angrybikers last post on camys thread says it all about why it shouldnt happen. Nope. Everyone is entitled. One man's dirt is another man's gold and all that jazz. Often I have witnessed posts where the OP is clearly delusional over prices (I'm, not just referring to this forum) and it takes the forum membership as a whole to explain why. It's 50/50 as to whether the OP accepts the advice or not. This is a completely separate complaint and has nothing to do with whether people should or shouldn't post on for sale threads. I would say generally forum members are more realistic about the values of their cars and are thus honest about it. It's a forum. If the OP does not want a discussion either request it's locked or else go stick it on PH or AT or even eBay. Forums are built on discussions.

No, your right, other people thought they were priced accurately As said before, why not pm him if you thought you were being helpful and who cares if you can buy a uk for less, maybe they were a bargain, what does it matter to you? Can only help us all if prices are kept strong.
-
After having quite a few items for sale I have had on more than one occasion requested an add cleaned in the last couple of months.
-
Incidentally he started at 7 before you felt the need to tell him they were too expensive, they have only been for sale a few days, hardly cause for panic and as above, why not pm him with your helpful but innacurate opinion.
-
You dont think telling someone their car is worth 2k less is derogatory, lol. Sorry, i have seen it before, a forum of owners should NOT be driving down the value of our cars. Sure there are dogs out there can be had for 4-5k, but its pretty obvious these cars are in good, if not individual spec and imho after very recently selling a jdm car in lesser condition they are easily worth £6k plus so would allow some wiggle room. A for sale add is not for "opinion" on price or item comments of devaluation, its a place to sell stuff, there are plenty of sections for opinion and debate. I fully appreciate the member can request a thread tidied or locked but if it becomes common place for discussion it will do the 350z no favours, speaking from bitter experience.
-
No its definitely you why do you feel the need to devalue someones cars publically, why not pm him in the first place with an opinion he didnt ask for if you were so concerned?
-
Couldnt disagree more, opinions on price are just that, as is very evident on camys thread, some think his cars are good value, a couple dont, no one is right or wrong. But, posting on his thread numerous times, even when he lowered the price is bang out of order. If the poster was that concerned, pm the guy, not have an out and out debate on pricing, especially when he is massively innacurate. Same goes for posting comments about items for sale, which i have had a few times, if you dont like it, dont buy it.
