  1. Surprised by so many shouts for Evos, you could buy a 6/7 even 8 for 350z money, are the 9's that much better?
  2. Good shout imho, i know they are fickle but dont think that would detract from the enjoyment
  3. Speaking from first hand experience and coming from someone who loves fd's after owning 5, they are utterly fantastic, but, start to tw*t around with tuning them and you will generally spend more time maintaining/improving/caring for them than driving and unless you were lucky enough to live close to one of the specialist to which there are maybe 5 or so, i just dont think its an option or the car would spend more time on transporter being shipped to your nearest specialist. THE only way i would ever get back into an Rx7 is commission a build for a short block triple made from the original 12a rotary Rx7 and run a safe 500 - 600hp and thats probably going to stand you in at 50k for the full car build doing it right. A very safe bet, great car that you can enjoy and probably not loose a penny, probably make a few ££ in the long run.

  5. Have you seen this EVO VII? http://www.harlow-ja.../7trackevo.html I'd argue that EVO would be more than a match for most GTR's actually. £37k is a bit out of budge but it looks like there's been a lot more than that spent on it! Awesome spec, but that would cost a fortune just to keep it working, its a race car with an mot. If you had a few million in the bank why not, but as a serious option it wouldnt even end up on the list. I would struggle to think of something i would want to own more than a gtr if i had gtr money, plenty of cars i like, but ones i would actually hand over that cash, i would struggle.
  6. Also had a stormforce, very good cover
  7. 275 & 245 both 35 profile. Gold for the win
  8. For sure, just relating to dt post and sharing a similar view point.
  9. Absolutely will be harder to drive fast, but i never said it wasnt exciting and as per DynamicT post, a big hp, rwd car with steel brakes/no abs and manual box is nothing new, but a 200k asking price?
  10. Audi has become quite the "brand" to have these days and sure the build quality/trim levels etc are pretty good, certainly better than Subarus, but your right, nothing special about 400hp 4 wheel drive in itself. I was pretty shocked when the Noble M600 came out and it was £200k, i thought the same then, a 600hp+ rwd car with steel brakes and a manual box, hardly ground breaking, but it seemed to get rave reviews so i was obviously in the minority.
  11. Ive never found buckets too uncomfortable, if you can get a system like atomic with 3 way tilt you will probably find them more comfortable than oem. I actually found cloth jdm seats more comfortable than leather because you are sat lower and dont slip around so much.
  12. Love the concept of making the tt as an Rs model, but imho, they missed a trick with the styling by going subtle, it needed to be so much more than the std tt imho of course. Price tag was pretty eye watering too from memory.
  13. I thought the getrag box the supra had was the daddy? The 350z box doesnt have that great a rep, altough in the 2 cars I have had they seem pretty good.
  14. Red seems very popular here on the forum so you would have thought was reflected at order time, but your right, few and far between, perhaps someone more in the know might be able to answer if it was a ltd run paint code?
  15. Have anyone else tried connecting or via phone?
  16. Ah ok, i see what you mean now. Its not being found via bluetooth so you cant pair with the unit.
  17. Have you entered the password and adjusted the settings in torque as per the destructions? (our of interest) Loads of threads on this syy, the elms are hit and miss, i have two sat here that ddint work so bought the vgate which worked first time, but not for Sherlock.
  18. Surprised he managed to get an order for 2 on such a ltd number car.
  19. A buisness man would have the 50% profit in the bank and no car on the drive
  20. There will always be cars that attract speculation, but some of the prices at the moment are just fantasy, nearly a 50% premium on a 70k car is just that imho. if I had one on order or my drive it would be gone in a heartbeat
  21. The place I live was built some 12 years ago, I could get the car in the garage with mirrors folded but not open the door, handy, on a development of some 40 houses only one person uses their garage and they own a mini. Intetesting to note that when i applied for planning they now dont consider the current garage to be a valid parking space. So specs have changed.
  22. Agree with that, soon as you can actually get some decent interest out of the banks the speculation on cars will decrease. I remember the crash before.
  23. Got 25mm if you want to check fitment Mike, worked ok on my Weds? Happy to send one by post so you can be sure?
  24. To be blunt, an absolute sh*t load from 19" Rota inc the tyres I noticed a vast improvement in feel and speed of direction change from my 19" volks to the ssr gt1 in 18. Unsprung mass is the best weight reduction you can make, would also be beneficial to swap out your cast rotors on the Akebonos to two piece with ally bell
