  1. Yes it works, you would have to remove your kmh to mph converter, very easy, cutting and re connecting a couple of wires. Your new uk cluster will however will not display your current mileage but whatever the car was it came off (there are people that can alter this) and you may want to swap out your triple gauges so it also has mph written on the display and you will also want the white heater control box thingy if you want the triple gauge clock to work.

  7. Well things have moved pretty fast, I have a deposit on the 350 and going to view the one linked above. I dont think i will be regular on the forum judging by my welcome thread.
  8. I had a very interesting chat re this today with a truly wise old boy who has been stalling on which way to go, but he has made up his mind, he is going to vote stay. The reason, he actually believes it wont be long till the EU will collapse anyway, he belives Turkey, Spain, Portugal amongst others will leave with only the decent economies remaining which will then sort all their own trade agreements out without the need for the actually EU., so we would be better off to be there to have a say. Interesting and perhaps thought provoking?
  9. It would be a weekend/track car nothing more.
  10. Just been told on the forum a 350z is chav/hairdressers car, i am sure it was said tongue in check however. I must admit and knowing myself, i think if i do go down this route, it would have to be something like the one i linked. Will see if there is anyone local to me with a stage 2 willing to take me for a spin.
  11. Thanks for the advise guys, going to mull it over, i really like my 350, so just got to think about what boxes i want to tick more
  12. I would be curious to know if the stay voters feel the EU in general has any glaring downsides, do you think there would be benefit for some sort of EU reform? Open ended question with no hidden agenda.

  15. This fits my bill http://www.vx220.org.uk/forums/topic/142546-harrop-supercharged-22/
  16. Thanks for the offer but only toying with the idea at present and in all honesty i would prefer a supercharger.
  17. Been looking on vx220.org and very informative site. I am wondering why you dont see many at stage 3, obviously that requires a rebuild, but is that excessively costly or just 250 ish is generally seen as enough?
  18. A run down really, been doing some reading up and understand them to be pretty rapid, anything to watch out for?
  19. Anyone driven or owned one?
  20. With that comment I have highlighted surely a head gasket, or crack? New gasket, block and heads were pressure tested for cracks etc.. I have a Mazda Bongo which are prone to heads cracking, mine did this recently, the garage suggested a pressure test wasnt entirely accurate as they cannot test it hot, so whilst it might show fine cold, once up to temp its a different story. Disclaimer to not knowing whether this is strictly accurate.
  21. Couldnt disagree more, they had months and months to make it a win situation and as in my other post, it was nothing like jc etc starting out on a first episode of a show dead in the water. The first episode was the chance to not give the doubters a chance, a chance to fill the big boots they knew they had to, sadly though, like many others, you will just want to believe the JC old guard wanted to hate it, maybe some did, but i genuinely switched on hoping for something far far better, it should have been the absolute best and biggest they could muster. Watch grand tour first episode and see what they roll out for that. I do believe they will take time to gel, but as others have said, mlb sat on a tow truck, hardly ground breaking and just went on and on, star in a car worse than before and that was saying something as even as a tg fanboi i thought had run its course.
  22. But how can we know until we try, as has been said before, we wont know what deals etc we can strike until we are in a position to do so? and we arent going to be able to so until we know, its a catch 22. Either we have the faith or we dont. Its an unanswerable question. Giles Brandwith made me laugh on Have i got news for you, he said during the erm, they all woke in the morning not knowing what was "going" to happen, during the day they didnt know what "was" happening and in the evening they didnt know what "had" happened.
  23. I have had the same and as above, double standards just dont work. The girlfriend in question and i worked in the same hotel, we met there, she would get texts all the time from the leisure club boys out of work (she worked in the spa), i never said a thing as it genuinely didnt bother me, she would also have semi regular contact with a couple of ex's, again it didnt worry me. After a year or so an old female friend text me out the blue, she had just been dumped (by a mutual friend) and wanted a male opinion and a shoulder to cry on. She went absolutely mental. When i said calmly she was always getting texts to which i hadnt even batted an eyelid, apparently that was different, still not sure how, but there we go, never try and introduce logic into the equation when women are involved. We actually split over it as i said i would quite happily ask any females not to text if she did the same. Needled to say that wasnt fair (still not sure why), so i cut my losses.
  24. Absolutely right, but there is a gaping difference between now and then, TG was dead in the water anyway, what did they have to loose. You cant compare those first epsiodes to a show that was watched and enjoyed by millions, no matter your opinion of JC and the shows format. CE and even the producers had a huge bill to fill and the first episode had to be bigger and better and if that was their best attempt (which it should have been) i have absolutely zero faith it will get any better, it was their one chance to wow the audience. I seem to remember the TG haters calling for a new format as the old one was stale, boring and predictable, which is exactly what you got last night of TG at its worse (as it wasnt funny), but because CE is the presenter its all different, the only thing that was different is the main presenter now is about as entertaining as that annoying kid at school who liked the sound of his own (loud) voice bouncing around like he has just had too much sugar or e numbers. Roll out the big guns, get Harris and Sabine smashing round the Nurburgring in some exotica, anything but focussing on CE, obviously they thought he was the one to draw in the crowd/ Peak of 4.7 million viewers dropping to 4.4 million, 600,000 less than CE wanted, make of that what you will.
