Am I right in thinking, now that tonight is not going a head, I have to now invest the money I would of spent on entrance and fuel, on Pizza? This sounds correct to me...
-
Grr or not... There was one small thing that bumped the price up... Last year, someone clipped my front bumper on my golf, he pulled out onto the roundabout as I was going round, was pi$$ing down with rain, and just scuffed my front bumper. He asked to settle it outside of insurance, which I was happy with. However as a backup, I notified my insurers of the incident, they understood and were fine with the issue being resolved with out, but if he didn't hold up his word they could get involved. Needless to say he paid for the damage and that was that. Turns out that now adds about £300 onto my policy ...

Rang up Sky and they were unable to quote me. Did a quote for admiral online, and came up £400 cheaper So currently on the phone to them now who are apologising, going to refund last months and match the online quote.
-
Yup, spent about £20 on it already Bloody arena.

So just rang up admiral as I new my renewal should be anytime now... Turns out they renewed my policy in January 15th without letting me know. Got my Zed in October with only 3 months left on the Policy. I had to pay off an extra £200 pound over the 3 months on top of my current £800 PY Golf insurance. Which went from £80-£150ish. My Policy is now £1400 at £120pm. When did this come into place? Is this right? As last year I got my policy renewal through the post etc. I've only payed a month so far, so I may just cut my loses and get some quotes else where. Bit annoyed as I was expecting it to be a lot cheaper than that...

-
Omg where are you based???

Might be a dumb question, but what is the Shiney silver object on the card board? and what does it do?
-
Don't get me wrong, at time it does drink fuel, if you're having a stressful week or you need to get some where fast, you will see that needle move I've done like a full tank in 2 days before etc. It's just about how you drive, and if it's town or motorway.
-
Yeah easily. I do 50 Mile round journey a day for work. I managed to do 150-200 miles on £30 before, when it was a week before payday and times were tough
-
Cheers, I'll try and give them a call tomorrow. But I guess I'll need definate numbers for the area... So far it's me and Chris and I think Bob.
-
Aye, MIJ, they're pretty quite during weekdays. I managed to book mine in on a saturday about 2 days in advance? But there were plenty next days slots etc.
-
Give MIJ a shout Ian, you're local to them. Don't know the price, but they'll be able to make you a brand new Y pipe then and there, can chuck in some attached de-cats too
-
Bob/Chris, you been to Matchams before? (guessing you have as ya local) - Every time I went, there was a Club/Modified section (you'd have to drive 360* of the track to get to it.) It's pretty much to show area for when people are walking around. Not sure if there was any pre-booking or if you just turnt up in a nice/modified car. If so, could meet up before we enter around 6ish I'd say as it doesn't get busy till 6/7.

Touching Story John, I'm glad you gave him the chance and that he pulled through It was a tough call and it wasn't a tough call as well, as all be it a lot of money, I don't think I could ever say no unless it was ridiculous money. I can get money, can't get another Tia. And I can see how easily it is to drastically change your life with debt over this. Fortunately I'm in a stable Job and loving family to support through this. Just means holidays etc this year are on a hold, along with mods A little update, we brought her home last night, she had a lamp shade on her head hehe. Vets were happy with her, making a good recovery. Her Obi levels were low through blood loss. And with the spleen removed it will be a bit of time to get these back up to normal. Picked her up, mum drove and I had her sat on my lap in the car, with her resting her head on my shoulder falling asleep like a baby. Got indoors she was slowly trotting along, knocking the lamp shade into things, got stuck in the corridor at one point as it was too narrow to turn around. She couldn't get comfortable at first to lay down. So I lay'd down with her resting her head on my chest for a hour. Had to get her to eat this patey type food the vet prescribed, it was important to her recovery that she ate. Unfortunately she wasn't interested when we got home. A few hours later I tried again and she wasn't fussed. So the Vet had given us a couple of syringes early on, so we could mix the patey with water and use the syringe to feed her. Whilst mixing it, I tried again with my hand this time and she started munching away. Ended up putting the food on the palm of my hand letting her eat away. She ate about 30% Bed time came and unfortunately she couldn't get up the stairs with her lamp shade on, so had to pick her up and carry her up (She's always slept in my room) She just lay'd down on her bed and cuddled up to her teddy's. Couple hours later I joined her on the floor, moved my mattress onto the floor, as I didn't want her jumping up and down my bed all night potentially injuring her self. She fell asleep on top of me for the rest of the night. The only thing she hadn't done that night is drink. Could be down to difficulty with the lamp shade or wasn't interested. She did however go to the toilette twice which is a good sign. Today she was a little more her self, walking around, ate 50% of her food. Taken her back to the vets, where she is now, for some more blood tests and to be put back on the drip. Get to pick her up tonight at 6.30pm. We will find out the results of her OBI. They want it to be a bit lower today due to the surgery, then later on (don't know if its days/weeks/months) will go back again for another test and the OBI should be a lot higher. Again thank you for all your support and comments!! @Mopedmark, Haven't ignored your thread, was a really good read and will drop you a PM when I get a chance. Yes, she's not happy about the lamp shade

Dan what is your mileage preference? I bought mine a 53plate, 60k on the clock - £6300 FNSH.
-
Beat me to it! ^^ That, also read somewhere that it's cheaper for them to Bump the price up so no one buys it, as apposed to taking advert down and then re-listing. But see my post above you can buy it and check it out on fleabay @ £75 - 00 ... Yeah I think it's safe to say your's is genuine, but things like bulbs up for sale at £1,000.000 are the ones i'm talking about

Just a little update - Again thank you for all your comments and thoughts! She was treated for shock throughout the early morning of Sunday, Things got worse and they had to perform the operation. Had to wait untill 10PM Sunday to find out the news. - She woke up fine, was a bit happier (Growled at the vet, so she seemed back to normal ) I believe they did a Gastric Bypass on her, she had lots of fluids that needed removing. The stomach didn't appear twisted. The Bill for that was around £2000 We were then told to pick her up 7:30am today, and take her to our vets to be monitored for the next couple of days. We got to take her home for a hour this morning to cuddle, she just wasn't her self, think she was all drugged up still. Arrived at our vets, they looked at her and could feed something that was a little harder than normal, and suggested a Ultra Sound and some more blood tests. 12noon today, I got a call to say she needed immediate surgery. She was bleeding internally and there was an issue with her spleen. They gave us the choice of Op'ing or putting her to sleep. Needless to say I chose to operate. We were warned that there was a chance she wouldn't wake up from the Anesthetic due to her having something low in her system. Pleased to say got a phone call 2:30pm to say the operation was a success, she had a twisted spleen which was removed, the stomach didn't appear to be twisted and looked fine. She is apparently waking up atm and is resting. The next 48 hours are the crucial hours as to see what state she goes into. So fingers crossed. We have to go to the vets tonight at 7pm to find out the latest. The bill for that OP was £1200 So it's off to make some quick rich schemes for me

Just a side note, I'd always be cautious of cars that sit there doing nothing for 75% of the year, to only be driven a couple of hundred miles in that year. I personally would scout around a bit more. You will lose a lot of money on that car for Resale.

Good to have you back to free up my spare time Awesome find!

At the end of the day just cut the crap. Thread will be locked AGAIN soon. Was a simple thread welcoming you 2 back, Not a thread on why did you got banned, why it all started, who's right and who's wrong. The little digs and snide comments are pointless. As I said, thread will end up being locked as it's going to go off topic.

Thanks for all the comments guys, appreciate it. Didn't know about this, will have to read up a little. When we asked the Vet if we had to pay it all at once, the only option they gave us at the time was a month allowance. So true. If this leads onto tomorrow, and I need to leave work early or need the day off, work would be fine with it, but it;s knowing they don't fully understand and would be like 'why's he taking a day off for a dog...' need a pet to understand. The vet said they are stumped by the illness, (not only in our case, but in many of these similar cases) there not sure what caused it. Some reasons she said- Exercise after a meal (So guess walking her/him straight after a meal is bad) - Food -When and What there meals are. (We fed Tia once a day at 6pm, she'd have wet and dry food. Vet said it's better to feed her smaller meals throughout the day) Again thanks to you all, still waiting to hear from them.

Looks awesome pal! Didn't realise this was possible. Thanks for the laughs
