  1. No no, it will be get a new bolt, have a rattle in your door job! Another update, depending how this goes I think the 3.5 will be sprayed over to match the base.
  2. that bits not too bad, it's getting the bolts back in without dropping them down inside the door, especially the one for the lock assembly Oh god don't say that ....so what happens if the bolt does fall because thats going to happen to me!
  3. Awww thought you were going to say fire got all excited then!
  4. Really easy to remove, Once unbolted, lift upwards and pull out. Now getting them back in looks a little trickier - You need to slot the metal rod from the 5th picture into the hole of the picture from the 4th picture.
  5. Another little update - Door handles are off - Delving into the deep!!!! Bit of DIY A4 paper wrapped round the mechanism with masking tape.
  6. This. He's asking too much imo
  7. Cheers guys! Going to colour code them Tony. Again another update - Right, so here's me trying to be artsy crafty and trying something different...In my head, this seemed very simple However, can anyone suggest a good way to stencil these (might not be the right term to use) The 3 and the 5 and really quite fine, and the masking tape/Stanley blade don't seem to be the best way off getting into those gaps to block off. Long story short - going 2 tone colour and need to get the V6 3.5 different to the case.
  8. Very easy. Just held on by plastic pop rivets as far as I remember. Yeah, there are 4 per side. Just pop 'em up and lift it off. I'll have a look in the morning, are these the types that you use a flat head to pop up? I usually end up snapping these And I don't want to do that this time.
  9. Very easy. Just held on by plastic pop rivets as far as I remember. Nice, and double bonus, these have to come out for the new bonnet struts anyway
  10. Also, how easy is it to remove the plastic base below the Battery/Brake Fluid lids go? The one with the rubber seal along it.
  11. Another little preview... Trying to get as many snaps to help anyone out considering spraying, to see the different layers etc. I'm just hoping by tomorrow, my different colour idea works

  16. I've just sanded down as if it was a flat surface, so nah, I've not gone into the dimples. It's seemed to have come out fine However when I come to do the door handles, I'll be trying to sand as much as possible, as they will always be on show, as this is just for when ever I pop the bonnet etc.
  17. Little picture update...
