  1. I use Tesco Momentum most of the time just because its 7p @ 136.9 cheaper then V-Power Nitro @143.9. I have used V-Power in the past and car seemed a little smooth and not empty the tank as fast. But 7p is a lot over 70 Litres

    Fuel Flap

Ok so been to Bristol Street Motors in Altrincham (Name & Shame) waited 20 minutes but was the only customer . Anyway it appears the Muppet who had the car before me forced open the locked fuel flap therefore snapping the locking pin. Told me in record time it’s not covered by warranty (I was shocked). Bought the car from Westway Manchester so going to try my luck there!!!! So can anyone let me know how much a new locking mechanism is please as I expect to fix the issue myself?

    Fuel Flap

I was wondering when you lock the car should the fuel flap also lock. Mine doesn't at the moment but seem to have what looks like some sort of lock mechanism inside. Does it lock? If so I guess this can be fixed under warranty?
  4. I'm 6.2 and have no problems with room or space. The cabin is a nice place to be. If there wasn't a rear window you wouldn't miss it. Put your foot down and the car will sing with the big boys.

    Mine!!

I have a 370Z exactly the same colour, picked it up in December, not stop smile while driving it since.
  6. I had a choice between a 2009 Cayman S and 2011 370Z GT back in December. Drive both, both handle really well. But the 370Z was the more fun. I though the Porsche had no attitude, back end was planted. 370Z has better interior.
  7. I use my 370Z every day, back and to from the office (reason I opted for the auto) and everything else. I bought it at just over a year old with 12K on. I get about 21 to 23mpg. Oh course you have to buy 97 RON which always the high octane fuel which is another expensive. I use 2 full tanks a month which is about £200 in fuel. I got it serviced at ABP Motorsport rather than a dealer as they asked £150 for P2 service compare to Nissan £300. Tax is a problem though, was in post office the other day and a young lad couple years younger than myself was complaining about £150 road tax, thinking to myself try £470. But I love driving my car, it never fails to turns heads, plus as before someone mention there pretty exclusive because of running costs.
  8. I though the law was the inside lane is for slow moving traffic and good vehicles and the middle lane was for faster moving traffic. Outside lane is for overtaking only. Love to know how this would work on the M6. Everyone drives in the outside lane because HGV are constantly overtaking each other. But I think innocent people will fall foul of this law, hopefully the police will use common sense but won't hold my breath. As for the plebs still using mobile phones despite the amount of hands free kits on the market for under £10, fine should be £250 to £500 for repeat offenders and 6 penalty points as it's driving without due care and attention.
  9. Sounds like a cracked head gasket. I had same issue in a MG and 350Z
  10. What tyre options should I consider to try an all but elimate this? I was saving for some Mich SS but I know Mich rubber is hard wearing.
  11. I though in term of test drive you were ok as the insured owner was with you?
  12. Great i was thinking of having a dual cold air feed on my 370Z, now sounds like i just need to change the paper filters with K&N or Cosworth. If i understant correctly. Saving me £££££

    Tyre meets Screw!!!

Had the part worn fitted today for £80 inc VAT, Its got a good 5mm left on it. Only difference is it a 275 35 R10 96 Y rather than W. As the tyre has a higher speed rating I wasn't to fussed and the only difference seems to be the tread being a little wider. Car feels good though and great service at Hyde Road Wheels & Tyres in Manchester.

    Tyre meets Screw!!!

If that answer is sell it, it's not a option more of a sin. Just had a few big bill car related come at once along with a expensive g/f. Another moth and all will be fine again and could afford 2 new tyres.

    Tyre meets Screw!!!

Thanks for the advice. I would usually replace both rears but moneys tight and £500 is more than I have right now. I think my best option is to buy a part worn tyres that is identical in make and treed depth to my other rear. To be honest I can only just afford that. Driving around with a screw in my tyre is making me rather nervous.

    Tyre meets Screw!!!

I have been offered a part worn tyre same spec and make for £100. Not to sure i prefer not to end up in a hedge!
  17. Got to work this morning and checked my alloy as I hit a pothole. No damage to the alloy but did notice a screw in my tyre. It's on the outside of the 1/4 of the tyre so no chance of a repair. Both rear tyres have 4mm tread left but I’m concerned if I replace one rear tyre and not the other the car will feel unbalance due to one side having more grip? Do I need to buy 2 new rear tyres? Should I get the Bridgestone so my rear tyres match the front? Any cheap suppliers known? All so money is tight as just had a service and insurance is due! Help!!!!

    Shift Lock

I have had my 370Z GT Auto since December. There is a interesting button that says shift lock, I would like to know what it does and if i should push it. Can anyone tell me?
  19. Sage ERP Accpac is what I have used for the past 5 years. It will cover or that. It can also be connected to your internet banking system so payments can be made directly from Sage. Various other things it can do that I don't yet use. But again you pay what you get for. I think basic versions is about £350 but can be upgraded.
  20. I filled up at Shell last night. First time I been to Shell since i got 6 Ltr of fuel in the 5 Ltr can. But thought I'd try the V Power Nitro+, 142.9 I was charged. I'll be sticking with Tesco Momentoum for 138.9. I don't understand how BP, Shell & Texco fill their forecourts as there at least 3p - 5p more expesive then any rivals in the North West.
  21. Can anyone spare the time to tell me the difference between P1, P2 & P3 services? My car is due its first P2 and after West way Manchester quoted me £399 I decide to take it to ABP Motorsport in Crewe instead as the quoted me £178. Thanks
  22. Surely with repair costs being so high the isurance would right the car off. Thats a very poorly Zed.
  23. I sure this has been covered already but couldn't find the topic. I thought I could live with the boot release that doesn’t release first time. I think it’s a common issue and pi**ing me off now. Can it be fixed under warranty?
  24. Debatable, Depends on your driving style.
