A diy engine swap could be on the cards but not diy taking the engine apart. It's not a long term car for me, I might just stick it on eBay and sell it as is. I rekon I could recoupe 3.5k ish pretty quickly if I split it

My engine is knocking its tits off, definitely bottom end. Not sure what to do yet. Option 1, repair it but not cost effective. Option2 , engine swap but not sure of the cost of another engine. Option 3 break it as the rest of the car is a1. I don't know what to do, properly stressed atm:angry:

I thought about swapping mine for Black ones but I think I'm just going to buy a couple of sparcos or recaros With frames. The oe seats don't look great to begin with for me, after having the ralliart seats on the evo. I'm sure a couple of nice seats can be had for under 800 quid

Mine Usually only gives a true reading on one side of the dipstick, unless it's been stood overnight, ie one side will be way up high while the other side will read between the min and max markers.

You'd think so wouldn't you I'm looking into a "spare"car for me and the wife, between work, kids and horses there's not many 18 hour periods that both cars aren't needed.

I work evening/nights at the weekend, i think i might get a lift to work and leave the box to cure then. Although someones just PM'd me with one for £20, so if that's a goer i'm sorted , and when i come to sell i can swap them over and sell the one with the stack in it

Yep needs overnight to be sure it's cured, not worth risking sucking something into the engine. 350ad I'm looking for something alot cheaper than that mate, I don't need filter or any pipe work, just a box.

After an early airbox so I can add a velocity stack and do a straight swap without any down time.

How come there's so many negative posts cropping up recently? He's got as much right to post as anyone else, why should it bother you? -
As said stick with your current airbox mate and put a decent replacement filter in it (cosworth, hks etc)
