  1. Noticed the other day as it was parked directly outside my flat, just off Free School Lane.. Anyone from here?
  2. Guys, I'm looking at heading to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year. I've never been before and would be interested to hear from anyone how has and their thoughts. Also, at £57 entry plus another £44 for the Grandstand tickets is it worth the money? (Especially for the additional Grandstand entry and not sure exactly what that'll give us) Cheers, Matt
  3. This is just the thing I've been looking for. Do we have any of the traders here who could supply and fit something like the one listed above (54 plate 350z GT)? I'd much rather go through someone here than chance my arm with an unknown
  4. I've always wanted a Mustang. Beastly vulgar thing that only goes in a straight line.. But there is just something I love about them. That, and the obligatory Aston of course
  5. Looks like a bristle nose plec. I've got a couple in mine. Got a mate who runs his own aquatics business just outside Cambridge, outstanding guy, if you ever need anything I'll put you in touch.
  6. After my divorce I moved from Leeds back to Cambridge (Mums spare room, the haven of divorced 30 something's!) and joined my mates local pool team. The captain introduced me to the team together with his fiancé who was in the pub that night. She was 21, I was 32 (and recently divorced don't forget!).. Anyway, 8 weeks later she is no longer his fiancé and I no longer had a pool team... Still, 4 years together this year and going strong. Couldn't be happier. The online dating can work and should no longer be seen as a taboo, IMHO. Perfectly valid way of meeting someone. However, as my story kind of proves, it happens when you least expect it.
  7. I was on those after my ACL reconstruction. Powerful stuff, don't remember most of it though!
  8. Gudzy, me and the GF saw it at the new Vue in Halifax. Glad it's open as kept getting fed up with going to the Odeon in Huddersfield only to find there was a game on and no bloody parking spaces! I really enjoyed the film, few funny bits and great performances from Bardem and Craig. Would have liked more gadgets though; Bond is all about toys
  9. I pick my Zed up next week and it'll be my first RWD car. Can it be confirmed that the TC is on by default everytime the car is started? It's not something I want to be unsure of, especially in this weather!
  10. What do you call a woman who can balance 3 pints of beer on her head? Beatrix What do you call a woman who can balance 3 pints of beer on her head while playing snooker? Beatrix Potter
  11. I'm a middle aged fart...11yrs NCD, no points... Sky: £742 Admiral: £627... Edit - If I put in my old Cambridge address instead it drops down to around £330!
  12. Iv'e done snow the last 3 years on REo50A;s with no issues, as long as you are sensible and take it easy you are fine. There is more danger of some numpty hitting you unfortunately Drove home in this earlier this year, hard to see how bad it was from the pic but the snow you can see was just what blew into the covered car park I may be late on this, but being a Spurs fan that number plate is frigging awesome!
  13. Hi All, Seeing as I'd posted requesting advice a few days ago and then making the purchase I guess I should now introduce myself on here as an owner I'm Matt, 36 and live in Halifax in West Yorks with my lady and a tank full of tropical fish. The lady reckons I'm having a midlife crisis as buying the 350z, coupled with the fact she is only 25, screams of it. Frankly, I don't care as I'm going to have fun riding it. The 350z too I pick up my Zed next week, Silver on a 54 plate with 47k on the clock and no mods. All my previous cars have been more functional rather than fun (Fiesta, LPG Vectra Estate! and most recently my Saab 9-3), so can't wait to get my hands on this one. While I love my cars I'm by no means a Petrol Head, while I'd like to say my knowledge of cars is higher than "Put flammable liquid in one end; sit in the other" it's not far off. I'm planning on change that with looking after and learning with the Zed. My reason for joining up here is to learn as much as I can from you guys who are all experts, well, some of you anyway... Already seen a nice few mods I could envisage on mine, mostly the window tints, a black wrap on the roof and the carbon gear knob! My 9-5 job is that of a IT Security Consultant (Ethical Hacking and such like) but the Zed will HAVE to take my pool cue as I play for the County. So, ... Hello! Matt
  14. Spent ages looking through the mods some of you guys have done. This could be the start of one very expensive hobby! BT adapter will be a must if anyone on here can point in the direction of a member who sells them? Location wise I split my time between Halifax, West Yorks and my office in Cambridge if that helps.
  15. Thanks for all the advice guys. I managed to find something yesterday slightly over my budget, but chatting to the other half we agreed to pay the extra and I pick up my Zed next Friday . Found an 04 plate with 47k on the clock, full service history at pretty much every 4000 miles, new tyres (Forget the make, but were described to me as Top-End Budget, whatever that means!, but i'll look into that more closely when I get it). The garage have also fitted a new clutch since they got it a few weeks ago as they said they could feel it being on it's way out. Bodywork looked mint, drove like a dream. No blue tooth adapter that I or the seller could see, so that'll have to go in at some point. Very much looking forward to picking it up!
  16. Hi Peeps. Been lurking for a few days doing some research before I plunge into the world of the 350z (Finally got the girlfriends blessing!) and picked up some really useful information. Just wondered if I could get some advice specific to my situation. My 350z will be my main car and I've got no more than £7k to spend including insurance, I do a fair few miles for work but my fuel is paid for so that's not so much of an issue for me. I've seen a 53 plate with the GT pack which has done 73k up for sale for just over £6k. It's over 90 minute drive so want to make sure as much as I can before going to see it. Few things I've learnt from you guys over the past few days: 1 - As it's over 3yrs and 54k, the major P3 service should have been done so that's something to ask 2 - Seller has no idea whether it's been run on the higher octane with it's 3 previous owners. 3 - Watch out for the knocking sound from the rear Anything else to look out for when I go and see it or ask well in advance? PS - I've looked through for members who run garages near me, closest I can find is Atkin Motors. I'd like to take it into one of you guys after I buy something for a check up, but is there anyone slightly closer to me? (Halifax, West Yorks.or Cambridge where my office is?) Cheers Guys, Matt
