  1. Amazing Z ! Real nice ...............I want . Well done looks stunning
  2. Mine pops to......sitting in traffic and every now and then I hear a small pop, also when the car is in gear but rolling down hill I get a few pops.......sounds great. I think it's to do with the Exhaust and pop charger (no pun intended)
  3. I'd defiantly go for a VX220 and if you can push the budget a bit more a VX220 Turbo.......bloody quick, great handling and that would be my next car......but love me Z, it's got a few issues that are being sorted..........for the love of cars lol
  4. Ha ha ha. I saw the same advert last night, did make me chuckle should have been a ginger though
  5. Hi there.......why is your car limited to 112 ? Sorry to ask or have I missed something. Also is the DE engine maxed out at 155 or limited to 155 ? Anyone's thoughts please Cheers
  6. Thanks guys.......now I'm going to look into the exhaust for sure.......could be that. It's a crackle I hear once the car has warmed up so it could well be something like that. I'll check underneath That's what I love about being on here, all the info is priceless and really helps to rule things out Thanks guys......I'll keep you posted Cheers
  7. Hi bud, they are NGK. PLFR5A laser platinum. Guy in shop did look them up so fingers crossed they are ok. I'll look at unplugging the air flow meter and see what that does. It does only pink when the car has warmed up ? Cheers
  8. It's a outlet for Viezu.....it was on there site for the Z. I don't really won't to say the company's name, as he did apologise but hadn't taken my number ( I didn't leave it either) to stop me coming over. I was just a bit gutted. Airflow meter. Is that the metal box at the top of the large intake pipe ? The cone air filter is at the other end. I bought the plugs that were allegedly recommended for the Z ?
  9. Feel for you mate..........like you say you do your best to keep the Z scuff and dent free, but it always seems to draw the dumb, mindless couldn't give a s--t drivers to it. Like others have said a couple of hundreds tops for repair.......or like WhackyWill said, maybe get quote from dent/chip removal guys. They charge so much per panel and looks spot on. You can even take your car to them and they do it while you wait ( a few hours) but least you get car back that day........either way all the best and you get your great Z back to pristine A.S.A.P
  10. Hi The pinking seems to be lower revs when I'm just gently pushing the accelerator. The Z has a stainless exhaust and fitted from the cats back and a cone air filter. These were fitted before I bought the car. It's a 2003 with full history and 48k. So an up rev sounds the way to go.....any ideas where and cost if I go down that road ?
  11. Me to mate..........Sunday fingers crossed getting rid of the horrible clicks
  12. So the remap never happened due to them saying they didn't have the software.......even though they said they did on the phone and it would give about 20 BHP more ?........so on the rebound I bought some new plugs ( NGK Platinum just gotta fit them). Now the Z has been pinking for a while so maybe changing plugs and fuel might help ? I was told that going for higher RON could help. Ive been using BP super unleaded 97 RON, so considering shell 99 (if there's one local enough). Do you guys think this May help ? Or any other suggestions on what might cure the pinking ? On a more positive note, clicking axle fix and new plugs being fitted Sunday Any suggestions would be great Cheers

    MPG

I think £105 fills it up.........remember someone on here said that. Luckily I only put £30 a week in.
  14. Mine is clicking to, both sides.........does no damage but is really annoying. This is on my to do list. The fix does seem to be the one with putting more grease in once the spline has been pushed back an inch or so behind the rear brake disk. Seems an easyish fix and cheap if you do it your self. I read that marine grease is the way to go.....about 5 quid. Good luck and have a great trip
  15. Im never to convinced with these stone chip protectors. The Z being a blunt front car is going to be prone to them, but sounds like you know your stuff and the market so I wish you every success
  16. I do to, but is it me or is the Zs alarm not very loud ? My Jag had all bells and whistles with alarm, horns and main beam / indicators. With the Z it's alarm sound and indicators.......that's it. Now I would have thought the Z has got a lot more chance of being nicked than my X type did.
  17. Great tips and links guys.........thanks and much appreciated.
  18. Woodsman meet ? Any info on it.......I'm sure I could make it, just gotta check date. Cheers
  19. I saw exactly the same car today also about 15 mins earlier ........I was driving the wife's renault on the A27 heading towards Brighton so I didn't wave lol......really nice Z Looked lowered, nice wheels and ginger painted front grill..........I wish I had been in my ginger at the time......amazing you saw it too. I was just about to post on here as well Lol
  20. Well I always change gear at 2k ish as I only do 10 miles a day (5 to work and 5 back) 5 days a week.........so not really warmed up enough to give it much more. But what with the Z being fairly torque it seems to handle the lower revs fine
  21. Great looking Z you have there, and good mods.......well done. .

    MOT

Great news......does make you feel you've got a good motor roll on next year lol.
  23. Yes I see what you meen. My wife doesn't like it without the cover on because of the hoses and the state of the front end.......I'm tempted to see how much polishing I can do before it goes back on..........there must be something out on the market that can get into all those nooks and crannys like a dremmel with a soft polishing stone or something like that ?
