  1. Can't really comment on this as I've got a coupe, but really intrigues me about the roadster.......I've never had a convertible . So just wanted to say if you do buy it...........it's gunna be such a buss........all the best
  2. Thanks so much guys.....I'll try greasing, but will replace when I can...........so they are the small links on the end of the anti roll bar that go up also ? Sorry, but I'm not to sure what to look for. Cheers
  3. Cheers guys......I'll google to see where they are.......do you know if greasing ARB links helps ?
  4. Hi buddy, it sure was but it's getting louder now, I can hear it from inside the car no problem
  5. Morning all As some of you no, I'm trying to resolve a few issues on my 2003 Z. So for the rear axles clicking has been sorted and plugs changed. The issue I'm trying to resolve is this creaking noise coming from both sides at the rear when I go over uneven surfaces like pulling into my driveway. Yesterday I looked at the anti roll bar bushes (kiwi fit said it was them) causing the noise. I loosened the bracket that holds these bushes in place and greased the bar then re fitted the bracket and tightened. Drove the car of the ramps and.........no difference. So obviously it wasn't them. Any ideas as to what is the cause, or if there is a common fix for this. With the hand brake on, if I rock the car back and forth it happens more so than up and down. Money's a bit tight at the mo so trying to resolve rather than use a garage for the time being Cheers
  6. Really pleased that your wife is ok, but sorry to hear about your Z . They are a tough car and its done its job.....it's got a great cell/airbags.....all the best with the outcome
  7. As above......and good luck with the change over Keep us posted !
  8. Well mines on a driveway and used 5 days a week.......I wouldn't use one due to the on and off/ causing swirls, but for a long time sitting there I would use one
  9. Turned it of it the rain once to see what all the fuss was about........straight long driveway......... Just squeezed the throttle a bit and away the tyres went.........won't do that again.
  10. Hi all, just got confirmation that I'm entered in this years Bexhill 100 car show...........anyone else going .........and if so what are you going in So gave the Z a good wash & Polish yesterday.......... not bad for 11 yrs old.
  11. I would love to be in your position I would go for the 370. I'm not knocking the 350....it's a fantastic car, but the 70 is a step up. What ever you choose......it's a win win
  12. Welcome along ! Your really going to enjoy it And this is a great forum, always willing to help and advise.......HAPPY DAYS. Thirsty on fuel, but for a 3500cc it's to be expected......and worth every fuel gusling penny. Your going to love the sound, and also be prepared for strong neck muscles due to looking around several times at the Z every time you park up lol
  13. Welcome along........enjoy
  14. Sorry guys, but what is the ECU pedal reset about, and how ? Cheers
  15. Not sure what's it's worth......but I'd love it on mine.........it's got to be worth several hundred quid to the right person, again that's a guess
  16. OK........that's my next thing to look at, the heat shield.....not sure where it is, or how to get to it...but I'll give it a go
  17. Cheers guys.....live removed MAF and cleaned it, I used IPA as this cleans components ETC and I didn't touch the wires just slushed it around for a bit. Now fitted back on so this properly won't make any difference but well worth a try anything else anyone can think of ? I'll try to under to look at heat shield but not really sure what to look for........I'll google to see where it is.
  18. Ah ok......so how does the MAF sensor come out and get cleaned ? Is it fairly easy ? Also do you think disconnecting it will prove anything ? Cheers
  19. Hi Zedmanalex, I get this loudish crackling ( with windows open) when accelerating.......not hard acceleration. Only when it's hot though. Any ideas ? Bradders it's the above mate lol, sounds like nails rattling around in the engine every now and then.
  20. Hi all. I recently had new plugs fitted to see if it would help the pinking issue. All was ok for a few days, but yesterday on the way home from work it started pinking again. Now the car doesn't pink when cold, and yesterday was very hot, so could heat be the issue as I have a pop charger fitted and have heard that they may not be the best air filter due to the heat from the engine ? A couple of pics to show the filter. My second question is do you think the MAF sensor could also have something to do with it ? I would like to remove and clean it but not sure how easy or hard it is and what to/how clean it......I've got some IPA if that's any good ? The last pic is the MAF (I think). is that the black side bit ? Any help/info would be grateful. Cheers
  21. Agreed......I don't like the wheels, but the kit on it would look good once painted.
  22. Sounds and looks great..........
  23. Hi all......just a quick update, the new plugs have been fitted and I'm really pleased to report no more pinking, car feels great 2 plugs did feel not as tight when undoing so may have contributed to it, and the rear clicking axles ( both sides) have had the treatment with Lucas Extra Heavy Duty Grease and I'm happy to say the clicks "HAVE GONE""...................on a down note, some **** has dented my door in the car park at work.......so annoying as she was perfect.....so a call to the dent removal guys is on it's way,I just can't stand dents in my Z...........ather than that. HAPPY DAYS.
  24. I feel your pain mate........I had second thoughts with mine a few weeks back due to a few issues that needed sorting, but I'm now getting them sorted.......but I only do 50 miles a week. There's no way I could live with my Z with a long commute due to petrol costs. But that would be said with any 3500cc My wife's car is a Renault Scenic that has been a life saver, what with the kids, dog and all lol............and I'm a fellow GING owner all the best and roll on the 370
  25. Welcome on board.......the Z is a fantastic car, takes a bit of getting used to, but your gunna love it ENJOY
