  1. Surely the perfect look is in the eye of the beholder....not in the mind of the follower......
  2. I Have 25mm spacers on the rear and 20mm on the front with 245 and 275 19's... I had to roll my arches on the rear so the lip didn't catch the tyre... I am also running -1.5 degree camber on the rear......Also had to roll the front but the front is lowered unlike the rear....PSS on the rear and assy 2's on the front.... rolling your arches is easy as long as you have patience and about 2 hours...
  3. Try not to go past the 3/4 threads through the retainer as you will pass the apex of the spring and you will have to use your toe to pull it back up......Although having an instant bite within about an inch is great for driving this car...you will eventually go out in the morning and find it does not want to go into gear. I found this out , but I ive up a hill and free wheeled it for a bit and got her into second....and second is where she wanted to stay, so had to drive round the block, park up and re-adjust and works fine again.....When adjusting, I found that it went lower after using than where I had adjusted it to...so getting it just higher than level with the brake (roughly 3-4 threads) should be good.......
  4. Loose battery in the bay ???....I had something similar and thought it was the suspension or linkages......turns out the retaining clamp was loose and battery jumping and knocking.......
  5. Damn....Would love to go...but not due back onshore till.....the 29th.....aaaaaaaaagh
  6. Hi guys, Looking at getting a new clutch and flywheel combo.... After reviewing all the extra bits i would want on the Z to go on the track, i have decided to use the 6k on a project build...either kit car form or 240/260z.... So i am now looking at getting a clutch/flywheel combo to cover fast road/ occasional track day...... Looking at the Driftworks superfly and the Exedy sports organic or Competition Clutch stage 2... Have also been wondering about the rev drop off with lightweight fly's compared to the dual mass...... Wondered whether to keep the heavier fly and use a clutch with a harder/quicker grab....but would this strain the engine too much. This will be a daily driver when i am at home, and dont want to be fighting against stall with the quick rev drop off from the lightweight fly in stop/go traffic..... Anybody got any feedback with their own upgrades......
  7. Oh Poop.....meant to put in 350 forum.......ooooops

  9. is your inner arch damaged...had to roll mine for the rears to fit with spacers..... if you have not rolled yours and the inner lip has been pulled further to the wheel ...that could do it... Maybe your toe arm is knackered and your camber is positive ... drop link broke allowing excess body roll from the sway bar... sure others will be on to offer other advice.....
  10. Invidia duel with rolled titanium tips..... Maybe catch up again....forever tinkering myself.... next job to fit blackdiamond discs that just came this morning....and the braces.... Hope the MOT went well...
  11. Yeah.... That was me.... Picking up a set of GT spec braces from Chris at 16...... Noticed the hood up and the pair of legs in the garage....was gonna stop and say hello, but needed to get back and roll my arches for the new wheels before Saturday.... Nice Z by the way......
  12. Ok... So just fitted my eibachs.( fitted bolts and retaining nut kit).. 20mm front... 25 mm back..... Perfect for Rays and standard 18" alloys as the centre is recessed to allow for the spacer bolts which are longer than the face ..... Went to add my Antera 19"s..... And they don't have the recess , so I had to grind off 3 threads on each hub stud, which left two threads through the retaining nut holding spacer onto hub. Just wondered if anybody else had to mod there hub bolts.... And with what wheels....
  13. Here you go...... http://www.ebay.com/itm/03-09-Nissan-350Z-Nismo-JDM-Style-Z33-Add-On-Side-Skirts-Body-Kits-Polyurethane-/170984798434#shId
  14. Just had the M.O.T done this morning and she flew through with flying colours...... Was waiting for a problem on emmisions with the Berks on, but a mix of the 20 minute blast to get them nice and hot along with the tester understanding about these things and keeping it running while he did everything else before doing the emmisions did the trick...... Wanted to know if I was looking to sell or trade in as he was amazed at how good a nick she was in ....... The wide eyed steals gaze must have let him know it would be a cold day in hell before I got rid...... Anyway..... A very good day compared to yesterday after having to drill out my locking nuts ( The ones with the rotating bevel ) ...
  15. +1 for the grinder(cutting disc)....quickest Dremmel.......tedious Hacksaw.....f*****g pain Nut splitter..... As long as its not flanged nuts
  16. Must admit, would rather go and get it done than remotely......
  17. Thought about getting them skimmed, but really cant be bothered sourcing someone locally to me, as everything where i am is sky high in prices...rather get new and thats it done..... Cambridge is just a tad too far away from Banff to go.....
  18. Agree DBA T3 are the babys to go for...... but just wanting a general road use set to cover winter.....
  19. Heard about that place.....want to keep my wheels once i drop below 60.......
  20. Looking to finally get the UPREV done .... Anybody know anywhere good to get it done near Aberdeen......
  21. Has anyone had any experience with Nitrac discs...... They give a Lifetime warranty on Road...AND track use..... Just happened to be looking at Black Diamond discs when i noticed them on Motorsportworld.. Pretty damn good price if they live up to the warranty.... £180 pair front £170 pair rear...
  22. HFC's are easy to fit..... just have long extension bars as 1 nut on each side is accessed through the engine bay......( was on mine anyway) about 38" length should do you.... Sound again depends on what you got it attached to..... Loads of different options from guys on here.....
  23. Looking for a set of the above for 55 plate GT. Thanks
  24. Hi, May not be relevant... but when i changed out all my sway bars, drop links and suspension bits and pieces, i had to take it about 50 mile to get it aligned .....i went for the 4 wheel laser alignment. Whilst i was driving it the car was all over the place to the point i was not wanting to go above 30. Roundabouts or bends were a complete nightmare thinking the back end was wanting to swap with the front, and constantly fighting the steering to keep straight. After all was said and done, there was not much adjustment done to actually correct it, but what a difference it made.... i know most garages by me cant set up the adjustments properly even when they state 4 wheel alignment. Only 2 within 50 miles and a 3 week waiting time, so i had to book it in and plan the work round that. The only other thing my limited knowledge could suggest is a knackered busch or bent arm somewhere.... hopefully someone else on here can give you more info....
  25. If you wanna purrrrr like a kitten ...fine....... But invida duel and berks let's you sneek up on your prey down low .... but lets everybody know who is King when it GROWL'S like a Lion when you uncage the beast.......
