  1. Respray is a partial respray not an entire bumper btw . The guy does a top job, so if he says he can do a partial I'll believe him! For now I think I'll enjoy it for what it is - Will get it resprayed when I get the scorp exhaust and do it all in one go!
  2. Do you notice the scratch on the fender? I was going to get it resprayed (£120) - Now that I've driven it home I'm beginning not to care! If you didn't pick it up, then I'm inclined to not do it for now. On top of that I lose the car for 4 days if I put it in, and entering winter I wont have much chance to drive it in good weather .
  3. I'll give you one cheeky one... she needs a nice detail (look at the brake dust!) I turned down an offer from the seller to have it cleaned, as I wanted to do it myself (don't want a valeter washing it and scratching). I'm so glad I went for the import, the automatic is fantastic fun. Wasn't a cheap one at all, as it's been here since 0 miles and has a nice history - Perhaps overpaid but hey
  4. Ha ha ha! Pmsl. Couldn't remember my password. Been ages since I've used eBay. Damn it! Bareback for you. Not sure that excuse would fly with the misses however... "I forgot my password... "

  6. I grabbed a dodo applicator pad for £4.95 (free) Was just popping on here to tell them about the deal! You beat me
  7. Picking up the ZED tomorrow, a month has seemed like such a short amount of time. I'm out of here 8AM in the morning to go grab it, safe to say I will not be posting pictures up in the short term . I intend to use a few tanks tomorrow and got the day off work to get a feel for her. Loads of cleaning stuff is delivered Friday, already got the new exhaust gaskets and bunch of other goodies!
  8. Also looking to do this on my 350Z... replies welcome . My seller said Nissan told him it would cost £100-200 to get it replaced with a fully carpeted cubby... Got an alpine unit which is miles better, and more storage is always good! Is it likely to change the resale value negatively considering you've basically upgraded the GPS?
  9. Sorry to hear that Tom, if it makes any difference my Uncle died today also in Manchester.
  10. Fully understand what you mean here... Shall enquire with Nissan but as far as they're concerned I can warranty it with them and they'll even buy it off me for £8.8k (Which doesn't sound like import price to me!). This isn't with a crappy dealer either, it's with Nissan Ancaster. It has UK ports as far as I'm aware for diagnostics also . Shall get some pics up next week in a new thread to dig deeper.
  11. Nope. It wouldn't be the same spec or have the UK warranty that new UK zeds have. Imports will always be worth less. But what if it was imported by Nissan UK... and sold via Nissan UK from 0? Pretty sure it would have full warranty. That's what mine is... Imported by Nissan UK Director 0 miles to custom spec JAP/UK hybrid - Have I just got an odd little car? Nissan told me that it's not considered an import as they got it from new and sold it via UK from new. Whole log book is all UK. Mine is the only car I've seen this story from, if anyone can help it would be great!
  12. The idea is to build up enough speed to glide over the top
  13. I don't understand this... My import is valued by Nissan UK @ £8.8k (that's what they'd give me). 2006 GT with 33k miles. Is there different scales of imports? What if it was imported to the UK as NEW and registered 0 miles in the UK with full UK service history against a UK nissan branch? Surely then it's on par with UK sales dependant on the GPS not being Jap?
  14. This was amusing . So will I get beaten up if I saw holes in my 350z bonnet and arrive with leaf blowers to a zed meet?
  15. Tesco express one here just got refurbed... they were messing with all of the pumps. Perhaps a new law regarding the measurement of pump delivery? Either that or they're installing more accurate pumps to clamp down on us getting free fuel
  16. Go and drive it. You get a bad vibe from the guy, he dodges questions, you don't like the sound of the engine. Don't buy. Let thy heart decide (as well as the kickdown) .
  17. Mileage doesn't matter if it's been looked after. Plenty of people on here have 100-200k mileage cars with low bills (yes it shocked me too). Only way to tell would be inspecting the log book and seeing what's been changed? And how regularly it was done... I'm sure some of the people familiar with the engine here could tell you some signs to look out for.
  18. I just paid £9700 for my import . That looks like a proper import though (all jap stuff) - Could you live with the GPS etc in Japanese? From what I hear the stock GPS isn't that good anyway (no postcode entry). The Japanese service history would turn me off - But that's a lot of car for not a lot of money. Also there's no GT options on that, surely you can find a UK one for similar price? The trip box is smooth as butter though, and kick down is nice. If you can't find a decent import and can settle for manual... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p
  19. I'm in Cheam itself . Unfortunately my mod plans are now on hold... as it looks like business is taking me away from London at the end of the year. . Needless to say she will be sold is all goes through before Jan. I shall make the most of the next few months and if it doesn't work out I'll get to keep the zed, so it's win win!
  20. 06 Plate GT import with 33k
