I got a letter from Admiral a few days ago, stating what the situation was and why it was done. FOS also said if I'm not happy with the response, to write back to them. I'm not happy with the response, at least from a data protection standpoint. To gain access to my quotes you need DOB / Surname / Email Address I used - All 3 of those in today's world are easily accessible information for the average guy on the street. As such I will probably write back to the FOS to continue investigating.

Yeah the bay is spotless, apart from my resident cat stuck somewhere. Alex, would that explain the weird noises too though? Would the fan run while driving as well as idle? Because normal driving it stays cool (according to temp readout). Once the engine goes off, the weird noises start. Also, how easy to install one of these - Or how costly to install one if I'm not going to DIY it?

Since last week, I noticed that on turning off the engine after a drive something beyond the normal begins to occur. It doesn't occur EVERY time. Ticking is standard, but this is very strange. Symptoms: - Coolant res is bubbling and spluttering - Weird whining noise from the engine bay At point of turning off: - The engine temp readout is 1/3 of the gauge which is normal If left sitting idle (engine on) - It will reach near the top of the temp gauge over 10-15 minutes (this could be normal?) If driving it - Completely normal/responsive, temp gauge reads 1/3 all the time (I let the car heat up before I take it out for a drive) A picture says a thousand words... a video will hopefully say a million

What happens on this? Not been to a jap event yet... half tempted but not sure what is required. Don't have a passenger for maps either

Phoned back and they offered £17.50 compensation. They are phoning back tonight to "confirm" my refund, if I get someone English I will go further and make it clear and I'm looking at pursuing some sort of action against them, Indian lady didn't seem to grasp the concept. Naturally I took that, but it's nothing and I want to pursue this until I get a formal statement from the company, as well as find out of this is legally backed or not. I have a good 8 weeks to wait until I can pursue further with the FOS and start an investigation.

so I phoned the fos this morning and filed a formal complaint. then phoned admiral who caved and took it off but not offered any compensation for their screwup. will be phoning back tonight demanding 10 percent off my years premium and if that isn't given I'll cancel the policy on the spot within my 14 days. I will then begin to pursue further with the fos to hold them to account.

Worst of all, I did put on that the car had 2 turbos and a supercharger just for amusement to see how much it would cost... thank christ they didn't use that quote, I would currently be sitting on 20k a year premiums with a raped bank account! Took my last drive tonight, will most likely fight with them in the morning, threaten legal action and either cancel or make them remove it.

So I got in today from work, and have a lovely letter from Admiral sitting on my desk. Letter claims I didn't disclose vehicle mods on my car... that's strange, because I don't have any Apparently I made an online quote (which I did) after I had bought my insurance. This online quote was just to see how much a new exhaust/air filter would be, I decided not to do it right now and wait a few months... Admiral however decided it would be best to apply those modifications to my policy, without having them on my car - GO ADMIRAL. Upon phoning them, I'm told I have to take it to a garage to get written proof it's not modified. I stated it's their assumption, so I will happily do it if they pay for Fuel + Labour time as it's a 350Z not a 60MPG car. They also said this was required to validate my policy against a claim... so how can I drive it to a garage if my policy isn't "valid" at present? They have said they cannot pay for that, I have 1 day left (tomorrow) when I can cancel my policy within 14 days... what would you do? There is no way they could actually validate I made that quote online... which scares me greatly. Anyone could get my plate and make a quote against it with mods, and push my premiums up!

Where you going? anywhere nice Nope, most likely east! City is very built up and I'll be living in the heart of it, so no need / ability to keep a zed and park it safely. It was a short ownership... but not selling out of choice!

Spread the word... this zed might be up for sale in a few weeks. I love it to bits, but if the next month goes to plan I'll be moving away and thus the zed won't be following me . I'll need it sold by December if everything goes through, I will no doubt return in a few years though, most likely with a GTR .

Drive your car into the nearest tree with baby birdlings and seek vengeance. I hit a fox at motorway speed (ish ) the other day, luckily it was already knocked down but my did it thump... luckily no visible front / underside damage.

Tried disconnecting the old CD player, it was indeed connected. Removed one at a time, and got no improvement on signal. My guess is the install was not done right, looking at the configuration settings of the headunit, it says Speed Pulse is not turned on... which it should be to my knowledge. Compound that with the aerial problem, and the fact the microphone doesn't work I'm inclined to say a poor install. Anyone know places in Surrey that do car audio and won't hurt me financially for what is a minor problem?

The deed is done! My panels were badly scratched, much similar to Lewis. Sanded back to bare plastic (black), and realised why they scratch so easily... they use a horrible rubberised paint! After sanding: Applied 1 coat of primer, then used finish paper, followed by 2 coats of primer. Then applied 2 coats of top coat, and lightly went over with finish paper, then applied a final coat.

That is the BEST photoshop I've EVER seen. I've had a proper laugh at that and even showed my other half and explained the reasons of our requests for photoshop and even she had a proper laugh. Brilliant A real photoshop pro would of got all the floor grooves aligning, I don't have that patience

I couldn't resist. You may laugh, but it's easier to remove the car for me than style all the stuff in the correct colour taking into account all the reflection etc I'm all photoshopped out
