  1. Well, looks like it's going to be 40 based on the posts. Tbh, I like the look of the Vreds and seeing as I do less then 4k miles per year and never 'push' the car, I think they'll be fine. Thx for the posts
  2. I'll need to replace all 4 tyres soon and settled on Vredestein ULTRAC SESSANTA I can save a decent chunk by dropping to a 40 profile. Other than the speedo not reading quite right, any downside? Mytyres best price fitted I can find. 245/45 = £172.20 245/40 = £142.20
  3. I live near Chester. Had my Cobra exhaust fitted by http://tdi-north.com/ couple of months back. Excellent service.
  4. If you replace the headunit, you'll need a steering wheel adapter. This will allow you to control the basic functions like volume or track but will not let you control the phone. You'll find that the phone buttons will generally do something - on my Pioneer they change the source.
  5. Fitted today and all works great. Pretty straightforward but my colour blindness caused an issue! The light green cable was white to my eyes so was a bit of trial and error. Works and looks good on the Pioneer x3500dab
  6. Hi The stock Bose sub runs off the rear RCA outputs. I asked the same question when I first replace the stock headunit :-)
  7. Finally got round to fitting my reversing camera. Pulling the cables through was quite easy thanks to the guides on here. Being lazy, I only removed the one piece of trim at the back of the boot. I know from the guides that the reverse power cable is green with silver trim and notice in the mass of cables right in the middle of the boot (above the rubber grommet you pull the cables through) there is a cable with the same colours. So... is this the right cable? I took a photo, but the upload to photobucket failed and I didn't notice before re-fitting trim. :-( I need to get some more scotch locks tomorrow, so not been able to "give it a try" yet Thanks
  8. I bought the x3500dab as I particularly wanted DAB Really like the head unit, looks good in the dash and does everything I need. If I had any negatives, it would be that changing tracks on an iPod could be slicker but this is more related to the touch interface as I had an Alpind Ida-x100 before that operated via a jog wheel. Not made many phone calls via Bluetooth but those that I have are fine. http://www.roadradio.com/Pioneer/AVH-X3500DAB/
  9. does'nt seem to be that many body mount DAB aerials I could only find this (Kinetic DBA-5001) or the JVC HAL ones that look like they only mount on a flat location like the roof Now I know how easy it is, if I stumble across a better looking option I'll go for it For now, glad to have DAB back
  10. After all that, it was really simple. Pull off all the plastic and trim, remove FM aerial and bolt on the new DAB one. Finally, full signal strength with no burble. Only got 1 bar on the drive with internal aerials before, now max signal. Not as nice looking as the RDX aerial, but worth the sacrifice (for me at least)
  11. Found all the service manuals only, including the AV one that has the instructions http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/350Z/coupe/2008_Coupe+Roadster/
  12. Right, getting access from the inside was easy enough and undone the bolt holding the aerial bracket in place. A bit stuck now on how to get the exterior base bit off! Any clues please?
  13. I'll donate my Honda RDX stubby to anyone who posts pics and steps to remove the FM aerial and get access to fit an after-market body mount DAB :-)
  14. Hope it is as simple as pulling off the plastic to unbolt the FM one.
  15. Any guides available to help me with this? I want to improve my DAB reception. Have an external mag mount at the moment and never listen to FM so would like to replace the FM aerial with a body mounted DAB one. Thx
  16. I have an unused adapter after upgrading HU. What do they go for?
  17. Fair enough! Sounds logical
  18. I've owned my Zed for a year now and from the start found the clutch bite hard to get used to. Since having a Cobra resonated system fitted, I don't judder anywhere near the same. Is this in my head, or any reason why changing exhaust would make it easier to launch?
  19. Fitted a Pioneer x3500dab in March. Really happy with it and DAB signal is pretty good. But, I've lost my FM signal; I pickup no stations at all. Worked fine with my previous HU that needed an ISO to DIN adapter. Any thoughts?
  20. Extremely happy with my Cobra resonated system. Thanks CS for the excellent service; appreciate you shipping direct to TDI North near Warrington who fitted for me.
  21. Had the Cobra resonated system fitted yesterday. Sound is AWESOME! Big thanks to CS for an easy transaction and shipping to TDI North who did an excellent job in fitting for me. Will definitely be going back for a remap when money allows... https://en-gb.facebook.com/TDiNorth Will post a sound clip when I get a chance.
  22. Didn't read your post properly! I used Demon for my MR2 roadster. They fittes K&N iGen2 induction, Eibach springs, Janspeed exhaust and wheels/tyres. Never had an issue and always pleased with service
  23. Here's the guy I communicated with via email : Mike Gilkison zenclosures@tampabay.rr.com
