  1. It's really quite easy if you follow the guides in the forum. Looks a lot harder than it actually is.
  2. Fitted this morning, took a couple of hours all in without any real probs. Did forget to plug the FM aerial in though, annoying but that can wait! Planned to put Dab aerial on passenger side of windscreen, but picked up interference when cable was routed in. Maybe too close to my power feed to the amp for my sub. So, aerial is now on the small side window passenger side and seems fine. Will go for a drive tomorrow to see if I need to change. Sound is great on Dab and iPod, clear and louder than the Alpine it replaces. Played with App radio for 5 mins. Looks good and will see how Dashcmd looks tomorrow. Impressed so far, especially at less than £300
  3. Will do. On offer at Halfords right now for £299. Not quite the cheapest but convenient to pickup.
  4. Ordered the Pioneer AN-DAB1 to try first. Had a Pure Highway in the car last year using just the standard windscreen aerial and reception was fine. Other option I'm thinking is to replace the FM one.... Anyone done this?
  5. Looking forward to getting DAB back in the car and trying out the App mode
  6. Saturday sorted..... As long as fascia adapter, aerial, iPod cable turn up tomorrow.....
  7. 350z 07-08 HR Intakes Polished £285 delivered Can't resist at this price. Have sent PM Jon
  8. Was about to opt for a dual JWT pop charger... Any reason why these would be better? Roughly the same cost.
  9. I have an aftermarket sub/amp installed and use the high pass filter to stop the Bose sub kicking in. Much better bass.
  10. Fitted perfectly. Just pushes in. Not sure why link doesn't work. Try a search fir Zenclosure. Fitted with an Alpine SWR-10D married to a JL-Audio JX500/1D
  11. Tried GPS Underground? The birdview works with the Renault carminat system dvd's http://gpsunderground.com/forum/car-navi-system/car-gps-systems/renault-nissan-infiniti/
  12. I bought the Zenclosure while it was half price just before Christmas. Cost me £120 with postage and customs. Happy as there would be no way I could build myself. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/66812-zenclosure-enclosure-sub-fitted/
  13. These are the specs of the amp http://www.jlaudio.co.uk/jx500-1-car-audio-jx-amplifiers-99396
  14. 4 weeks after ordering, my Zenclosure sub enclosure finally arrived yesterday. Really happy with the build quality and how snug it fits. Fitted with an Alpine SWR-10D married to a JL-Audio JX500/1D Not had time to fine tune levels, but sounds good so far.. Only slight annoyance is I cant have the Alpine logo on the bottom as there's no room for the cable connectors
  15. In Nero, when you choose a New Compilation it will default to CD-RIM(ISO) format. Change it to Audio-CD and all should be good.
  16. You need to burn the CD as an audio CD rather than a data CD. The authoring software will automatically save to disk in the correct format. I use Nero myself but Google "Free audio CD burner" and you should hit some free software from DVDVideoSoft that works fine
  17. Thanks! Hopefully a dry weekend coming up and I can do some prep for fitting.
  18. Would it be better to power an amp from switched power rather than straight from battery? There's the power outlet by the Bose sub that I was wondering how easy it was to connect to Thanks
  19. Just ordered one of these sub enclosures from ZEnclosures http://a248.e.akamai.net/origin-cdn.volusion.com/aqxz9.hyt6t/v/vspfiles/photos/Z110-2T.jpg?1314335199 Looking for help and advise on running power and RCA cables. I'll probably house the amp inside the enclosure or in the storage bin behind the passenger seat. i have an 09 GT
  20. First mod done on my Zed Bose HU replaced for an Alpine IDA-X100 I had from my previous car. Sounds good and really nice to have my iPod connected back up I bought all the bits from Incartec and it was a pretty painless install thanks to the guides on this forum. Only thing I'm not happy about is the gap between the HU and the cubby. My last car, an MR2 Roadster, had a double din fascia and the Alpine fitted perfectly, on this install I cant even clip on the Alpine's surround as it sits so far back in the fascia and is actually wider than the fascias width. So, is this normal for 350z single DIN adapters? Would I be better with an Autolead fascia? If no option, any ideas on what I could use to fill the gap beneath the HU? Cheers
  21. Perhaps I should have searched better.. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/54772-new-head-unit-but-no-volume-sorted/page__hl__phono#entry813117 says Red & White RCAs are front L&R Black & Yellow are rear L&R was expecting a separate output to the sub
  22. Just received the kit I need to replace the HU in my '09 Zed The cable I've received from Incartec has 4 phono plugs, but my Alpine IDA-X100 has 6 in total; 2x for front, rear and sub. Am I missing something? Dropped a mail to Incartec, but wondered if anyone else knows what I need to do Thanks
