  1. I would check that the amp for the FM aerial is working. As I say, I didnt bother as I replaced the FM aerial with a DAB one to get a better DAB signal
  2. If you have the birdview satnav installed, have you lost TMC? I noticed I lost this also, which uses the FM aerial
  3. No, gave up on FM and use DAB only. I thought I had possibly messed the aerial amp up somehow
  4. Go for it :-) I went for the same, managed to get off an eBay seller in Israel for £10 delivered! Photo is a bit blurred I'm afraid
  5. You need to use the Pioneer supplied mic Fitted this HU to my sons Mazda last week
  6. Take the lack of replies as a NO then! Have booked into L&G :-)
  7. MOT and a P1 service for my 2009 GT Used L&G last year and very happy with service and cost. Before booking again, wondered if there are any recommendations a bit closer to me; near Chester Thx
  8. I tried this http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/FM-AM_to_FM-AM-DAB_aerial_converter.html and it didn't work. Before I realised the Z aerial was amped. At least you checked first! Sent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk
  9. Hi there. Yes, the standard Z aerial s amplified. The amp sits the other side of the aerial itself in boot space. Think my posts say it all, but before I fitted an external aerial reception was terrible. You could use a glass mounted external one. I just didn't want two aerials on the Z. http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/ best place for aerial reviews etc. Sent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk
  10. Yellow and black into the rear speaker output of your headunit. Sub output on your headunit will not be used. I asked the question myself last year when first replacing the Bose HU
  11. Red and white for front speakers; black and yellow for the rear and sub (assuming you have Bose setup) As said above, the sub is fed by the same output as the rears. Make sure you have the blue wire connected, this is the remote power on for the amp. If all is working except for the sub, try checking you don't have a high pass filter set - this would stop the rears receiving low frequency sounds ie bass that the sub would play.
  12. Thumbs up Takeda My first mechanical mod, went quite well, only minor blood loss!
  13. I didn't get around to updating my original post with the outcome. Some pics .. Now with Eibach springs and spacers fitted
  14. I have the Pioneer X3500DAB All works fine with the steering controls using the Incartec kit. The phone controls now do other functions. one cycles between inputs (DAB/FM/iPod) the other one varies. In DAB mode it cycles between groups of stored stations Pioneer all the way for me
  15. It compliments the exhaust; a nice roar when your squirt the pedal
  16. Cheers.. Just got an initial bid. All proceeds go towards an uprev :-) Any other items for sale?? I have the oem air filters from my HR. Not got around to listing yet. Replaced them earlier this year with the dual Tekada induction kit
  17. Cheers.. Just got an initial bid. All proceeds go towards an uprev :-)
  18. Selling these after upgrading to Eibach last weekend There aren't many watchers at the moment.... http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1555.l2649
  19. Ye, think I prefer without mesh also
  20. Headunit was no more difficult than anyother; I just followed the excellent guide on here. I tried several different types of DAB aerials before giving up and going for a body mount. Once you remove the plastic trim in the boot, it was dead easy to unscrew the oem one and replace with the DAB Just one word of warning! If you have a factory fit SatNav, TMC uses the FM aerial to work. Took me a couple of weeks to realise why I no longer got traffic info! I went with the only one I could find that allowed full angle adjustment. http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/Kinetic_DBA-5001_DAB_car_aerial.html
  21. Used standard speaker clips to screw them in place Feel solid enough Had a cheaper set of Edge speakers in the same location before and they where fine
  22. Not quite the same as the advertised picture! but very happy
  23. A little update today... I wasn't happy with the way the Hertz speakers looked in the rear After some Googling, stumbled on a pair of Hertz grilles Much better and with the mesh fitted Not sure if I prefer with or without the mesh...
