  1. Poor ginger 350z!
  2. Yellow and black into the rear speaker output of your headunit. Sub output on your headunit will not be used. I asked the question myself last year when first replacing the Bose HU
  3. Red and white for front speakers; black and yellow for the rear and sub (assuming you have Bose setup) As said above, the sub is fed by the same output as the rears. Make sure you have the blue wire connected, this is the remote power on for the amp. If all is working except for the sub, try checking you don't have a high pass filter set - this would stop the rears receiving low frequency sounds ie bass that the sub would play.
  4. Thumbs up Takeda My first mechanical mod, went quite well, only minor blood loss!
  5. I didn't get around to updating my original post with the outcome. Some pics .. Now with Eibach springs and spacers fitted
  6. I have the Pioneer X3500DAB All works fine with the steering controls using the Incartec kit. The phone controls now do other functions. one cycles between inputs (DAB/FM/iPod) the other one varies. In DAB mode it cycles between groups of stored stations Pioneer all the way for me
  7. It compliments the exhaust; a nice roar when your squirt the pedal
  8. Cheers.. Just got an initial bid. All proceeds go towards an uprev :-) Any other items for sale?? I have the oem air filters from my HR. Not got around to listing yet. Replaced them earlier this year with the dual Tekada induction kit
  9. Cheers.. Just got an initial bid. All proceeds go towards an uprev :-)
  10. Selling these after upgrading to Eibach last weekend There aren't many watchers at the moment.... http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1555.l2649
  11. Ye, think I prefer without mesh also
  12. Headunit was no more difficult than anyother; I just followed the excellent guide on here. I tried several different types of DAB aerials before giving up and going for a body mount. Once you remove the plastic trim in the boot, it was dead easy to unscrew the oem one and replace with the DAB Just one word of warning! If you have a factory fit SatNav, TMC uses the FM aerial to work. Took me a couple of weeks to realise why I no longer got traffic info! I went with the only one I could find that allowed full angle adjustment. http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/Kinetic_DBA-5001_DAB_car_aerial.html
  13. Used standard speaker clips to screw them in place Feel solid enough Had a cheaper set of Edge speakers in the same location before and they where fine
  14. Not quite the same as the advertised picture! but very happy
  15. A little update today... I wasn't happy with the way the Hertz speakers looked in the rear After some Googling, stumbled on a pair of Hertz grilles Much better and with the mesh fitted Not sure if I prefer with or without the mesh...
  16. Sure Front: Back:
  17. I have 225 and 245 on a 40 profile. Car is lowered by 30 with 25 rear and 20 front spacers. Works for me.
  18. Cheers for the comments Forgot to give a big thumbs up to Demon Tweeks for today; supply and fit of the Eibach springs and spacers for £600 inc alignment Used them lots for the mods on my MR2 that I had before the Z
  19. Thought it about time I posted my Z journey so far..... I'd been on the lookout for a Z for a couple of months; been spending a fair bit of time in Sao Paulo with work and seen quite a few on the streets looking amazing In April 2012, saw a 2009 GM 313 GT advertised, drove down and put a deposit on there and then. Only 16000 on the clock as the previous owner did very little mileage. I had no intention of doing any mods at all to begin with. But then started hanging around on this forum...... First dabble.. time to replace the stereo with a new headunit that had DAB and iPod connectivity Took out the bluetooth adapter and routed the ipod to here, built a simple holder using a cheap case of eBay Next, some speaker updates,, Alpine sub, Zenclosure under strutt and JL Amp Replace the rear speakers, but wanted them on show DAB reception was pants, so replaced the external FM with a DAB one Then, Tarmac had an offer on the Takeda dual induction kit And then a Cobra resonated to go with it Interior LED change (which caused me a nightmare, blew fuses and one of the switches) And today, was over at Demon Tweeks getting Eibach springs and spacers fitted That's the journey so far.... Uprev planned for next year.......
  20. Found these on eBay for £11 Worth a try
  21. I'd like to keep the speakers visible if possible.
  22. Finally got around to replacing the Edge speakers I fitted a few months back. Went with a pair of Hertz ECX 165.5 Very nice sound But, as I have them fitted like this: I need a surround to tidy up the look; hide the screw clips etc Any ideas? Are there generic surrounds available?
  23. Been just over 3 months now since I swapped to a set of Vredestein 40 on each corner. Off to Demon Tweeks on Saturday for a set of Eibach spacers and springs to be fitted :-)
  24. Great quote from Demon Tweeks. £135 to fit and laser align Happy Days
  25. Near Chester/Wirral area. Thx
