  2. Changed my mind after using it for 2 weeks. My tablet install
  3. I did the same Managed to saw a groove with a hacksaw and then use a screwdriver to remove
  4. I paid a bit less, but this is the sort of thing http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rear-View-CAMERA-for-NISSAN-Skyline-GTR-Fairlady-350Z-Cube-Pulsar-Livina-Tiida-/261131748675?pt=UK_CamerasPhoto_DigitalCameras_DigitalCameras_JN&hash=item3cccaa4543
  5. Basically if when you press the boot release button you find that the boot doesn't lift high enough and you have to press the button a second time then the boot assist popper springs could be worn. The easiest cheapest way to fix this is to remove the boot assist units & their rubber covers ~ then pop some pennies or washers inside the rubber covers & refit. Have a look at this thread; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/35706-the-penny-trick/ Personally I wouldn't do it as a member on here does new springs & a fitting service for them which is cheap enough anyway. Who sells new springs?
  6. 4p on the boot pop mod
  7. Hadn't given this a thought.have had a micro OBD plugged in for a few weeks connected to an Android tablet. Drive the car most days depending how often I work from home and so far been fine. Will defo unplug when away for 2 weeks in August

  13. Yep, using E-robot to detect power on which then switches screen on and GPS etc Tablet goes about 10 days in deep sleep so fine for most of the year. When it does fully switch off, I'll need to remove the OEM satnav controls to push the power button. Would have liked to wire an external power switch but way beyond both my soldering skills and eyesight!
  14. Was a pretty painless install. I opted for a Ulefone U7 tablet, very narrow so knew it would fit in the space taken by the birdview. It's a phablet and with a GiffGaff SIM installed I have access to online stuff whilst on the move. http://www.1buy.com/ulefone-u7-phablet-mtk6592-octa-core-android-4-2-7-0-inch-narrow-bezel-2gb-16gb-otg-3g-13mp-white-black.html I'm using Smart Launcher Pro instead of the stock launcher, I like the clean interface and big buttons E-Robot is the task manager I've settled on. Just two events that detect power on and power off and this switches wifi/data/gps on/off and adjusts screen brightness and timeout. Short video
  15. Yellow and black plug to the rear L and R The Bose sub is driven by the rear outs. Confused me too when first replacing the oem hu
  16. How did you wire on/off button? Did you hardwire to permanent power or switched? Will be installing Tasker to manage power states, so was planning on using switched power but my worry was getting the tablet back on if its battery drains

  24. I managed to snap mine while cleaning the rear window! I cut a small groove in the top of the aerial with a hacksaw and used a scrwedriver to just unscrew the left over base. Then, get youself a Honda RDX stubby to replace it.
