The have a vlsd as standard which wear out over time and are a bit unpredictable if there going to lock get a 1.5way or 2 way in the drive is 1000x different

http://my350z.com/fo...alkthrough.html basically d2s bulb is bi-xenon d2r is mono-xenon? Your ballest will now tell the other filament/reflector in the new d2s bulb to lightup rather than your halogen

My guess would be the wiring harness inside the light will now go to a reflector that moves rather than turning a bulb on, unfortunately i haven't swapped for kouki headlights yet but others have

having a quick look prefacelift is a d2r bulb facelift is a d2s bulb other than that plug and play
