  1. That's what I'd like to know too. Reckon I should do what Jay says and push for a clutch as well?
  2. Update on this, just spoken to Marshalls. The spigot shaft bearing has disintegrated and damaged the flywheel, so they're going to replace both of those on warranty. Photos going in to Nissan now to authorise the repair. Just quoted me £903 for a new clutch if I wanted one. Ouch. Perhaps not.
  3. Spotted! Foursys? I was just outside having a fag! Can you tell that we're a little slow at the moment...
  4. I'm a PC man myself, spent too much time playing FPSs with a mouse. Just seen this though: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-20949071 I can play HalfLife all over again from the start, this time on a sofa!
  5. $160 for the pair (not the cheapest by a long way, but excellent quality), $16.95 for the shipping, took just over a week to arrive. However, got caught by the random customs checks and had to pay an extra £20 of VAT. D'oh!
  6. I have a set of these, yet to fit. http://www.thezstore...370z16a/31-1128 Here's the 350 selection, lots to choose from in there: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/350z03j
  7. Cheers Jay - I'm naturally suspicious because of your experience and don't want to get suckered into buying a new clutch if it should be a warranty replace. It'll be interesting to see what they come back with as the exact problem.
  8. Hi all My 370Z is in with the dealers for a problem with what is most likely the release bearing on the clutch and I just spoke to them for an update. They said that it's all stripped down and they're waiting on a call-back on a high-tech call to Nissan to confirm the best way to proceed, but the guy said that while it was in bits he was going to quote me for a new clutch. It's done 37k miles and he said that I might want to have the clutch changed while it was stripped down to save on the labour. Firstly, does this sound right? Secondly, is it worth doing? And if I'm going down that route, and assuming that the clutch isn't covered by the warranty work, is it worth replacing with OEM or an alternative? And while we're at it, what about the flywheel? Sorry for all the questions - your expertise is needed! Matt
  9. Several people have complained about this on the 370 on the US forum and my 370 does it, but never had a problem with my 350. The fuel pump appears to be the culprit: http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivetrain/4065-whine-noise-high-pitch-arg.html http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-general-discussions/10603-high-pitch-noise-hurting-my-ears.html Maybe worth checking if the noise stops after you leave the ignition on but the engine off for a while. Of course it could also be some other interference of some description through the amp, see how you get on.
  10. It's just to give the cabin a warm glow at night so you can see the controls on the centre console. Mood lighting for late night gear changes.
  11. Nice job. One more thing to add to the mods list!
  12. Nightmare. Hope they don't **** about with mine!
  13. Yeah I know what you mean. No major problems yet on my part but the customer service on the desk leaves a little to be desired it has to be said. Fingers crossed...
  14. Yeah they really did a number on you there...
  15. Picked up this little blue number last night from Marshall Nissan in Cambridge while my baby is in for her P3 and clutch fix. Notes so far over mine. Pros: - Gearbox and clutch actually work in harmony... - New suspension setup is more civilised for day-to-day pootling - Reversing camera is Cons: - Not sure I could live with the colour - New suspension setup is a bit too soft, and steering feel seems a little number - Driver's seat squeaks like there's an angry mouse trapped in it - Stock exhaust is just totally uninspiring But a damn sight better than a Micra! Got me thinking, what's the worst (dis)courtesy car anyone's ever had?
  16. Will do. She's just gone in for her P3. Once she's back I'll break out the camera!
