  1. I agree that's a bit too detailed for a "now don't crash your nice new supercar" policy! I'm with Wasso. Seems contradictory doesn't it.
  2. Yeah that's what I'm worried about. We shall see!
  3. Cool stuff, like ultra-Scotch Guard. If you sprayed a cat with it, attached buttered toast to its feet and threw it in a bath you've got to be pretty close to a perpetual motion machine. My cat is giving me funny looks now...
  4. I tried to find them but couldn't, so got these instead: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280954746728?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
  5. If they get that all done in three days you're very lucky - my dealer had mine in for three weeks for gearbox/clutch problems!
  6. Good to know, thanks. They look pretty good so I think I'll be okay, but definitely worth keeping an eye on.
  7. Should be one of the simplest mods you can think of, but actually is an utter pig thanks to the crazy lengths needed to get at the front and rear light clusters. The fronts require you to take the whole fascia off (which luckily I already had done as I was doing some other jobs), and the rears require you to remove virtually every panel in the boot space. Thanks Nissan! Once we have LEDs everywhere and the damn things last 20 years then by all means seal 'em in but while you still have tungsten bulbs floating around probably a good idea to make them a little more accessible. Ok, rant over, here's some surprisingly underwhelming after-shots:
  8. Here you go, pics as promised! Day-time mode, full brightness: Headlights on, night-time mode, half brightness:
  9. No, as long as you have a deep 14mm socket or open/ring spanner as the studs are quite long. The central bit of plastic next to the wind screen is friction-fit which means you have to be careful not to damage the tabs on it, so I'd recommend not doing that when it's too cold as all of the plastics get a bit fragile. It's anodized red VHT (or as my missus calls it, "Christmas Bauble Red"). You do base coats in silver, then the red, then clear coat over the top: http://www.ebay.co.u...8871#vi-content
  10. And I'm supposed to be off sick today...
  11. Yep, that's the OEM brace, just crying out to be painted!
  12. Strut brace is easy as that doesn't need masking. I used VHT paint just to be extra-safe on the temperature side. The engine cover is a bit of a pig as I opted to wet sand the silver areas down to get them flat first. Then you have to mask it all up. If I did it again I probably wouldn't bother with the sanding and would just paint it as-is.
  13. I was just thinking that myself!
  14. Strut brace in black rose would be pretty sweet!
  15. Been tinkering away now for a while dressing up my engine bay, so I thought it was about time I showed-off my hard work so far. I've sprayed the strut brace and engine cover, added some anodized washers and hex bolts here and there, changed out the radiator hoses with Viper Red Samcos, thrown in a couple of new radiator caps and an oil filler cap, and installed my own DIY grounding kit. I'm not 100% happy with the finish on the engine cover so that may be replaced with some shiny carbon at some point, and I have a few more hoses to upgrade to silicone, but all in all I think she's looking pretty damn sexy!
  16. If that be the case, why do they have to be driven with strict breaking in procedures for 2,000 miles. Just seems strange? Is a bit weird. Probably is more for the benefit of the new owner than the car then. Get used to it for a few weeks to stop you getting carried away and fanging it up a tree!
  17. If by better you mean twice the price, then he's right! Nah same stuff, but it may be easier to find 99 RON here (Tesco, Shell etc), as premium is generally 91 AKI which is around 97 RON, so he may be referring to that. I think I'd put up with he slightly lower octane for the price they pay though!
  18. Their fuel is the same as ours, don't be fooled by their lower AKI octane units
  19. Great film. That level of automation always impresses the hell out of me. In a way the factory is even more impressive than the car.
  20. Just had my P3 done :-( How much would you charge for supply and install of rear sensors out of interest?
  21. to the forum! Best way to do pics is to use Flickr, photobucket, picasa etc and then link to them with the embed URL
