  1. 10.01.2015 - 100142 miles Finished fitting the final pieces of Rickdon's excellent under bonnet mirror kit. The last two pieces were the two at the very back with the 'creases' in for the DE bonnet. Getting these pieces spot on took a couple of attempts. Many thanks to Rich for your help with this mate
  2. Woohoo! The DE set is now done And what a PITA the 'creases' in the four centre pieces proved to be ( Rich). Anyway, I'll let the pictures do the rest
  3. Watching with interest, as I've just picked up one of these second hand. My centre console is off at the dippers at the moment, so was hoping to take advantage and wire this bad boy up. Plugged in the generic 5-wire plug and it powers up etc, so I figure I just need to marry up the 8 speaker wires and the amp cable that's all on it's own - poor thing. I'll keep you posted with any developments if I manage to do it this weekend. You're right though - it is a mighty fine looking HU.
  4. After having parked next to and/or near many Gunmetal (WV2) 350Z's, this isn't the safest assumption Just because the donor car is a WV2, doesn't necessarily mean it'll be the same shade of WV2 as yours. Gotta love Nissan paint.
  5. Hello and to the forum Garfield You mention you might 'miss the power' and look at getting FI. What is your current car?

Ah bugger. Doesn't help me I'm afraid mate. I was after a JDM one that I could hopefully hack away at and remove the screen (but leave the buttons etc). I wouldn't want the butcher a perfectly good UK unit.

Hi Gumpy, what sat nav do you have? is it the UK version ot the (unusable in the UK) JDM version?
  8. Hello and to the forum Emily (and Dave). Whereabouts in the United Kingdom are you based?
  9. Also not much help on the car history itself, but the last JDM car I saw with a stock exhaust system (2003 car) was considerably quieter than a UK car with an OEM exhaust. If you can post some pics of his back box (Ooer) I'm sure someone could identify it. Nice spud
  10. That might not necessarily be a bad thing. Have you seen how pretty the Eastern European girls are? Or maybe it's just the ones I see in the establishments I visit...... Well, the order's been placed. I even splashed out an extra £2 on the 8gb version. Watch this space....... (Assuming it can find it's way here) - See what I did there?
  11. You managed 4 days Dicky. I'm sure that's longer than some New Year's resolutions lasted!
  12. Reading Keith's thread: http://www.350z-uk.c...tart-25-fitted/ where his 5 inch Tom Tom is a simple snug push fit into the cubby, I was wondering if a cheap 5 inch sat nav could be bought to do the same. It appears it can: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4876b30259 I was just wondering if anyone had any experience of using a budget sat nav like this? This one doesn't appear too bad value, for less than £30 with a 2 year warranty and map updates. (Plus the one in the listing has a GTR on it) I could use the USB port on the rear of my head unit to supply power and would probably require very little modification to the inside of the cubby to accommodate. Plus by doing this, I figure it would turn on/off with the HU and ignition. I could even use the sat nav as a media storage device for playing music etc on my HU (although I know this wouldn't be possible when actually using it for navigation). It all just seems a bit too straight forward. Especially for the sake of a £29 gamble. What facepalm moment is lurking round the corner that I haven't considered?
  13. It looks like a Tom Tom Start 25 to me. Or maybe I just read the thread title?
  14. Psst Will that's not cordless In fact, it's 'Ultra Corded'
  15. Yeah, that's the one I'm not sure if the one in the clip is the motorised one or not, but the one I saw wasn't, and it worked the same way.
  16. I recently sold my vacuum cleaner. It was just gathering dust......
  17. Is there another to add to that list mate? Grundy got his running again then sold it?
  18. I know where Kev is. No idea where his car is now though - as he threw it into a ditch exiting an island in the wet :
  19. There is such a thing Steve, I have seen it. Not sure what option it was, but I know Kev had one in his JDM roadster. Edit: A quick search suggests Alex may have some (well, he did in 2013 ) http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/67633-2003-06-retractable-cubby-sat-nav-model/
  20. Please amend your thread title. 'Hoover' is a brand, and as you're not specifically looking for a Hoover, 'Vacuum cleaner' would be preferable.
  21. Looks like it needs a bit of TLC, but could be a decent buy for someone with the right facilities: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390991079091?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
