  1. Hi All, Choptop and I are trying to get the wheels (yes, they're the right offset, staggered fit, no spacers required, fitted with good tyres before anyone asks) in motion for a national Christmas (there - I said it, I said the 'C' word) meet and forum get-to-gether. Details are a little lite at the moment as we would need to have a greater understanding of numbers involved before looking to book venues for a meal etc. Appreciate the clock is ticking though. But, what we do have so far is a date and location (as in city). When: Saturday 7th December Where: Birmingham. Previous similar events have been held here as it's centrally located for (almost) everyone and has good access to the road and rail networks. Initial thoughts are; we meet at a bar or restaurant on Broad Street for a forum Xmas meal and social event and then spill out onto Broad Street taking advantage of it's numerous establishments offering entertainment of a differing variety There are many hotels on or within easy reach of Broad Street and plenty of parking available in NCP style car parks and/or at the hotels themselves. A quick search of a few of the hotels returns a variety of rates and availability for the 7th, I've given an idea below of what's been found so far. If you do find anything better/different/more suitable/cheaper, please let everyone else know. Copthorne Hotel, Paradise Circus £89 Thistle City Centre, £67 Jury's Inn, Broad Street £81 Travelodge Broad Street £72 IBIS Birmingham £65 Ramada Birmingham £76 Menzies Birmingham Hagley Rd £66 The famous German Christmas Market will also be running at this time and is also located on Broad Street, so you/we can have a good look around here either on the Saturday before the meal or on Sunday as and when you surface. This is a forum event, open to all. Not just a regional meet, hence the reason we though a central location would be best. Any further suggestions and/or recommendations are welcomed (such as hotels and restaurants etc). So, who'd be up for this then? Can we start a list? (Please also indicate any +1's to give an indication on numbers). 1. Choptop 2. 14N 3. Ekona +1 4. Ph 7 5. BrummieStormer +1
  2. Parked up? In a car park? At night? Steamy windows? A group of people appearing as if they're waiting for some kind of invitation? That's how rumours start.....
  3. It's designed (and made) to replace the OEM mid pipe, so if an aftermarket back box is designed and sold as a 'plug and play' item, then it should be fine. Systems such as the Cobra (and I believe the Milltek) are sold as cat-back (although this generally means Y pipe back on the Zed) and often feature their own pipe work, routing and connection points. I know it will fit the OEM silencer and K2, it definitely won't fit a Cobra, I'm not sure about a Milltek. No sound clips in afraid - it wasn't on the car long enough for me to take any!
  4. Chubbster, the Rays were a £1000 option on the pre 06 GT cars. Mine's an 04 GT and the tight begger that placed the initial order from Nissan didn't want to spend the additional bag o' sand, so mr GT pack car came with the touring 18 inchers. Rays were standard post 2006.
  5. Read this: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/22880-guide-for-new-memberspotential-buyers/ to the forum And good luck with your search
  6. And a few shots from RAF Cosford More photos from the Cosford meet can be found here: http://www.350z-uk.c...ntballz-photos/
  7. Few more bits n' pieces, odds n' ends and more orange-ness as seen at Cosford. Bit more orange in the bay, including a wrapped Rickdon cooling panel.
  8. Thank you for the feedback and comments
  9. Hello Taj. Get yourself along to RAF Cosford near Wolverhampton tomorrow (Saturday). There'll be a load of us Zed owners with our cars there and will happily talk to you about them.
  10. This question was asked today and no one really knew the correct or black and white answer. I thought I'd ask you guys on behalf of those still left wondering.... Bit of a messy question, but bare with me. At what point does a car become stolen/recovered. (And don't say "when it's stolen and you get it back" which was my answer). Bit of background - it was noted that stolen/recovered cars are often seen significantly cheaper than their non-stolen counterparts. And this scenario was put forward: Car is stolen, reported to insurance and police but shortly later is found (by the police) and recovered, undamaged to its rightful owner. Is this now classed as a stolen/recovered car as nothing has been paid out by the insurance? The owner now has his/her car back, but has lost a significant amount of resale/trade in value because of the stolen/recovered status. Can you refuse to accept the car back, even if it's in an acceptable condition?
  11. Ta Daaaaa! http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/191-spotted-cards-here/
  12. Stick a forum flyer under the wiper!
  13. Female FTO Owner? Looking for a 350Z? It's AmyZed all over again! Sounds like a fair price. Why not share a link to it? Oh, to the forum
  14. Tein springs. 15mm drop rear, 17mm front. Fit nice with my 19's, easy to fit, not too low, no adjustment needed on camber etc, great price (circa £140). Very popular on here, especially if the 30mm drop Eibach gives you is too much.
  15. Best get yerself to a 350Z meet soon then mate before you sell up!
  16. I saw this today and was so delighted I took a picture! (I did make sure no one was watching first)
  17. Since this is turning into a bit of a confession session, sometimes when catching a glimpse of a Toyota Celica heading in my direction, the shape of the headlights makes me believe its a Zed for a second or two.
  18. I'd also check you picked the right 'girlfriend' up mate!
