  2. Don't take it to heart fella, its was just a bit amusing for some of us, your obviously use to older cars. As an oldie I used to use feeler gauges on my contacts in thousands of an inch, rotating the engine to top dead centre of course. Yes, i too can remember using a fag paper to set the points on my magneto equipped bike, i still work in thou half the time. today most think magneto is a character from X men.... only threw out my whitworth spanners the other day

  9. whats the corrosion on ? this is the heat shield and it's ally is it the shield or surrounding area ,could of gone where the mounting studs for the shield are
  10. 2 1/2 yrs will probably change in the next 1-2 yrs for a 370z if the missus lets me (yes i'm under the thumb)
  11. we seem to have gone off track here this subject is far from a simple big is good small is bad a single 3" system on a mildly tuned n/a z will be a good compromise between not being a restriction to the flow and maintaining exhaust gas velocity in a turbo engine you generally want as little back pressure as possible in the system so big is usually good you probably can make 750 bhp on a 3" system but that doesn't mean it's not restrictive therefore inefficient sadly this is not a simple subject and i'm sure someone will tell me i don't know what i'm talking about
  12. 3" single pipe is good to about 350 BHP N/A
  13. if it makes you feel any better you're not alone did mine today same spot lower down really high kerb (about 1ft) i hate driving in essex
  14. please tell me your only having the coil pack replaced and not actually paying £600 for someone to drill out the sheared bolt that makes me so angry if you were local i'd drill out the bolt re tap it and give you a spare coil pack i have for free
  15. They'll only grow out of their shoes/clothes anyway. As long as you keep them fed I'd think the child protection agency will leave you alone. yea but you only have to feed them a couple of times a week right ?

  19. a lot of people change these out i had a look at mine when i got this code pulled the connector off and it was corroded sprayed switch cleaner on it,and it's been fine for the last year so far
  20. i honestly dont think he was planning on any lube at all, with that price he was going in dry! my thoughts exactly i don't see any lube at that pricei got a solid flywheel and uprated clutch from the states including delivery payed a tenth of that had to fit it but fitting don't come to £4400
  21. try fuse no 14 10 amp should be some other things not working if it's this, you might not have noticed though
  22. a lot of the cars i had for years along side other cars the most i owned at one time was 5 and yes i'm old (not 85 though)
  23. Shortly after i got my 350 i posted about a trip i took to catch up with a friend, a, b and m roads and was pleasantly surprised at how well it dealt with all of them, personally i feel the 350 is much more than just a gt car, it does everything well and there in lies it biggest attribute for me! Stick in on a track and it will hold its own, of course it wont be faster than a Vx thats designed for that kind of work, but in general its a very very capable car, not just a cruiser imho! Depends on what you have driven. I had a VW Scirocco 1.4TSi better in the twisties than the Zed, my 18 year old R33 is faster in a straight line than the zed. I think the zed is pretty average in the grand scheme of things, its does lots of things 'pretty' well, but none really well. There are cars that sit on the extremes better. For me, of all the cars I have owned the Zed worked really well on big A roads and on motorways with lazy power. Anyone that thinks its a great B road machine clearly hasn't driven something that does b roads properly... have to agree with this i've had faster cars and cars that handled better and my alfa's had the most fantastic interiors but there is one thing the z does really well it puts a really silly grin on my face when i drive it
  24. an allegro that almost beats tatooandys princess
