  1. Well Mr.Keyser's kaaz makes a lot of noise but it does have a noisy clutch too. However, with the right oil, i've had 2 ways diffs in the past which aren't noisy at all. Wider rear tyres and additives also really help with that. It will need a bit of bedding in too since its such a low mileage unit.
  2. Thanks GT4 I'm not in a major rush to sell. If i still have it by then, i'll contact you
  3. You rock Doogy! I'll give this a cheeky bump in the morning
  4. Hi Everyone, I've decided to put my diff up for sale. The reason being is that there never seems a good time to have it fitted, so it deserves a good home that's prepared to generate some smoke.... literally! The diff is in excellent condition, just grubby from the old oil being sat on it so could do with a clean. I bought it second hand with just over 500 miles on the unit as stated by the previous owner. I believe its at 100% locking config, set at the factory by default. Model SAN3510 http://s1217.beta.ph...html?state=copy I'd really like back what i paid for it, since i've hardly touched it £400, collection preferred. Many thanks, Dan p.s Thanks to DoogyRev for allowing me to enable the electronic captions in the majority of the photos, i am a goon and forgot to place my Alias and date within the shot. Doogy sympathised my hatred for gear oil so many thanks for approving this
  5. Yes i did, did you see the post above? Type is UA-Z33
  6. ^^ This also applies to the base... see the URLs, you'll know what i mean
  7. Alex-san, you rock! Arigatou gozaimasu! Ok, now I can piece it together. Hopefully i will be able to help someone else in my position years from now with something for them to refer to. These are the release profiles for the Zed: http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.goo-net.com/car/NISSAN/FAIRLADY_Z/UA-Z33.html&prev=/search%3Fq%3DUA-Z33%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26hs%3DT7K%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26prmd%3Dimvns&sa=X&ei=JA94UIfhN6vM0AXc84GABA&ved=0CDIQ7gEwAg Specifically, here is the profile closest to my 11/02 model: http://jccc.web.fc2.com/japanese/nissan/fairlady-z-z33-200207/index-en.html Based on my Spec, and with my conversation with Buster... Mine is an 'S' Now, here's the good bit, the one place i must visit before my life is complete (kinda sad i know), the Nissan Zama Storage Facility. This is the very first Fairlady Z (Z33) 0001. http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissans- ... oto-481834 See the Chassis Plate: http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissans- ... oto-481890 It is the exact specification as mine, a specification S. See the type... UA-Z33. Well, mine is the 4xxxth model out of Japan. Ok this isn't precisely 100% accurate, but it's good enough to go with and is consistent with the information provided from Nissan. Thanks again guys
  8. Thanks guys. I have done this, but they can't confirm the Type. I got things back like the Grade - base, colour code. UA-Z33 which, based on spec links to a version S. I just thought with your help I could piece it together. Does type SAV mean anything to you guys?
  9. Haha! Help a brother out I think it should be SAV or S or UA-Z33. HEEEEEEELP LOL. MOT is due saturday!
  10. Read your mind thanks for the support.. Also... you could pop outside (in the rain!) and tell me what is listed next to 'Type' on yours. then i may have an idea what mine should be See you on the 21st
  11. I need to get a VIN plate re-made for my Fairlady Z33 The first item on the vin plate: 'Type' or 'Tipo' - what values should be in here, as i dont have the original to compare to.... long story. Fact is, if i cant get this sorted i'll never get it thru MOT Mine is a cloth interior JDM Zed with brembos and touring alloys - believed to be an 'S' ... but what type?? What 'Type' do people have on their vin plate - i respect this is confidential info so forgive me. Also, where are the locations of the Z33- vin number, other than on the bulkhead?? Thanks in advance!

    SAT NAV unit?

In that case ill do the same. ill send the power cable down from the cubby, past the HU, past the heater controls and towards the shifter, from there ill have the antenna lead (the thing connected to the power cable) traveling along the rest of the center console. If that fails ill send the antenna cable back up through the cluster lid and sucker it to the base of the window. You've been a great help chris, many thanks! Although we've totally dominated this thread lol! ah well, its relevant Ill report back with my results May do a thread if its worth it?

    SAT NAV unit?

One more thing, where did you send the aerial (the provided wire with a sucker pad that plugs into the power cable like a jack lead), because i imagine with the power cable behind the dash it wont get a signal? For stealthiness i was thinking of sending the aerial up and out thru the top of the center console assembly and stick it down towards the bottom center of the window?

    SAT NAV unit?

hmm could have sworn i replied, but it didnt work lol! The power connector is in fact behind the heater/AC controls. Do you reckon, if im clever, i could just remove the heater control section and feed the mini USB part of the lead up to the hole on the side of the cubby? Or will the head unit get in the way and require the entire assembly to be removed?

    SAT NAV unit?

Very nice I'm pretty sure I have the same setup, I have a hole on the drivers side of the cubby hole, with a fused connector somewhere behind the dash, where I would connect up the power cable and feed it up into the cubby thru that hole. I just can't seem to find the power connector behind the dash. I'll need to call the prev owner, any ideas lol?

    SAT NAV unit?

Sorry to hijack. But my jdm has a fuse behind the dash ready to plug in an aftermarket, there's a hole in the non motorised cubby for the power cord to feed into the cubby I have the 5" 2545 garmin, can I ask how you guys mounted your sat navs in? The garmin is quite thin so I was considering just buying a dashboard mount and sticking that in?.
