  1. depends on how you drive. if you hoon it and keep letting it slip, it will die very quickly and possibly cause damage to the flywheel and also the box. id nurse it about and change it out as and when you can. no point in putting your foot down if youre not going to go anywhere. as for clutch, not sure on what the stock clutch is capable of handling. but if your car is fairly stock, id whack a stock one in there as it will more than likely provide the nicest road worthy drive/bite.
  2. strange fault this one. weird how its only at 3Krpm. reminds me of my Evo, fitted new spark plugs, gap was too big, as soon as you come on boost, the boost blew the spark out causing a miss. but obviously theres no boost to blow out the spark on these could it not be spark plugs/coils breaking down as the engine gets loaded up? especially if its only a splutter? surely if it was the MAF, it would be jerking around all over the place and not just a miss at 3k as it can control the airflow? get under it and check your lambda sensor wires if it looks like theyve been rubbing. and remove your sims from the decats. i fitted the sims from zmanalex to my japspeed decats, then lowered the car, had a random look under the car to see how low the exhaust was and noticed the 02 sensors were really low. going to remove them on my days off, so im using the derv at the mo.
  3. maybe, just maybe the guy you bought it off? unless bought from a garage.
  4. If you want full opening/closure buy an M3.
  5. how low must your car have been for them to hit the ground? im dropped on 30mm eibachs and got loads of clearance.
  6. clutch switches are easy to by pass. plus im sure these void your insurance. plus theyre gay. just get in and start the car. why do you need to have it sitting on the driveway idling? its better for the engine to drive at low rpm for the first few miles than to have it sitting idling.
  7. revs would rise when clutch engaged not disengaged if this was the case. not coming off the gas quick enough sounds like a good posibility.
  8. wedge the spanner somewhere, get the mrs to get under it and hold the spanner, or if youre lucky, because of the type of nuts they supplied, they might grip as you tighten them. the 4 i gunned up gripped right away, the other 2 by the sensors i done with a ratchet spanner and a normal spanner.
  9. here you go mate. a nice gap to get both top, and 1 bottom bolt. the other bolt by the lambda sensor gets done from underneath hope this helps
  10. You got the drivers side left right? Yep I'll get a pic of the gap today to show you. Do you have extensions to go on the end of a ratchet/gun? And possibly a wobbly socket?
  11. are you going to be fitting supporting mods? pleanum spacer, ypipe and a remap? no point in remapping if youre just fitting sports cats/decats.
  12. As we are a public forum rmya's disappointment will need to continue, in case anyone thought otherwise its unfortunate. i think we should make a 'private lounge' for members only...... have it on other forums for all the candids of wives and gf's sharings caring lol
  13. From London mate. 2 bolts either side from up top, and the bolts closest to the lambda sensors, do from underneath.
  14. thats a shame mate, i would have given you a hand if you were local!! the top bolt (for me lol) was the wasiest on to get onto. looking from the top of the engine bay. theres a nice gap where you can see the top bolt, and the bottom left bolt. these are easily done from above. you just need a couple of extensions, with a socket on the end. wobbly socket if possibly as it helps with the angle so you dont round it off. i have a battery gun so cracking them off wasnt a problem, but they werent tight, you should easily be able to do it with a ratchet. the 3rd nut and bolt is the lower one by the lambda sensor. i done this from underneath with a ratchet spanner. i was going to take pics but it started getting dark, would have been alot easier to see what i mean.
  15. I've got a lambda sensor socket, and an offset lambda sensor spanner. Think you need either of these as it's fairly sunken in on the cats. I moved the intake pipe out the way for easy access (left the airbox in). Otherside, extension with a wobbly socket to help with the angle. Both sides I got 2 from up top and 1 from underneath. Where abouts are you mate? DO NOT go to a Nissan dealer, take it to an exhaust garage. They'll do it alot cheaper with ease.
  16. Disappointing thread is disappointing. Was hoping for some filth.... But nothing. Bunch of selfish photographers keeping the candids for yourselves!! Shame on you.
  17. or just print it off at work??? win win situation.
  18. must be. chuck up a pic of your car, lets see if im being a retard but from your sig, you got completely different rims, this guy had grids/gtr's.

    30mm spacers

Still undecided at the mo mate! I reckon I'm going to go 25s as it sits fairly low, and A- I don't want to do any arch work, B- don't want tyre to arch contact. But 30s look so good!!! FML!!!
  20. If you have to break it make sure you wet it! Literally soak it.
