  1. I used super unleaded in it for the first 6 years, but for the last 2.5 years I've used standard unleaded. I can't notice any difference...... I don't drive it hard so I don't notice any difference in performance. What should I look out for by using standard unleaded? Is there anything I should clean out or replace more often as I use standard fuel? Get the fan as out, as you're about to get flamed.
  2. I agree, visiting the Zed shed is a pilgrimage all Zed owners should make. It should be part of our religion. Great work guys.
  3. You can still get them online, but I think they're being phased out by the ZZ5s, which are available in oem sizes.
  4. How about asking a forummer to do it at mates rates? I might be audacious enough to do that shortly if anyone wants to offer their services lol.
  5. I'm not sure why there's such deliberation over this. It's a car. If you don't like it, change it but be prepared to make a loss. All the best
  6. I hate mis-badged cars. Probably doesn't make you a ricer, maybe just a wannabe/idiot lol
  7. Think it'll cost about £900 in parts and labour
  8. F1s came up as the no.1 tyre choice in a recent Evo test. Think ill be opting for them in spring.
  9. Modern hot hatches are packing in the region of 250 horses, coupled with lower weigh, boost and easy tunes it's no wonder that they can keep up with the Zed. The Zed is old tech now and I doubt many people are achieving sub 6 seconds to 60. Forget the willy waving as Large capacity, NA V6 with rwd and manual transmission are a thing of the past, we're in a world of 4 pot turbos and rep mobiles. Enjoy the Zed for its limitations and strengths.
  10. I thought I'd let everyone know of a potentially cheap way to get a 370z. It may be a bit of a ball ache though. http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/man-buys-nissan-370Z-with-testicle-2013-11-25
  11. Great. Did you connect a mhl and hdmi cable to the unit? I'm looking to have a similar set up as the below. m.youtube.com/watch?v=YJW4V7U8k6E
  12. Cheers. So you have the speakers, sub and amp all connected? Cheers. I'll check the video out. I'm in west london. Might need to cajole/bribe a local forummer into fitting lol
  13. I'm not at all technical. Been quoted £75 an hour for a 2 hour install, although I've read it's an hours job.
  14. Gents, I'm looking for a new double din, unfortunately on a slight budget. I'm thinking of getting the Pioneer App Radio 2 and rooting my Note 2 to use Arliberator. Now my concern with the app radio is that it only has 1 pre out. Does this mean ill be unable to connect the sub or Bose amp once installed? http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-pioneer-sphda02_p-27274.htm
  15. Japex in Kings Langley Speak to Ross. well recommended on here. http://www.japexperformance.co.uk/ I get my car serviced at Japex, but pretty sure they don't do MOTs? Will call Ross.
  16. Can anyone recommend a garage around the middlesex area? Willing to travel for a decent specialist.
  17. Seems the nature of modern cars, the only thing that breaks the mould is the new ish gt86, even mx5's are bulking up in the weight department compared to what they used to be! Big fat comfy electric seats, airbags, big brakes & wheels, solid build added to the overall size all contributes Just try lifting your bootlid if your gas shocks go Think I'll stop going to the gym if the shocks go, and just pump iron on the Zed lol
  18. Wish the Zed weighed about 100-200 kg less than standard, would have made a huge difference. Aside from the hefty V6, what puts the lard on the Z?
  19. Thanks for the reply densey, looking for silver spats. Glwts
  20. I've heard that ZZ3s are good, and they're fairly cheap. I'm either going to go for Goodyear F1's or ZZ3s. Not sure yet.
  21. There's a place in Reading but the name evades me. Try car audio security in Hayes, although not cheap. I was quoted £75 an hour for a double din install and they reckon it's a 2 hour job. I'm planning on asking/bribing a helpful forum member when it comes to my install lol
  22. I can't wait to see what difference it makes. I have a plenum spacer, typhoon CA induction, sports cats and Miltek exhaust so am hoping for some decent gains/improvement. Do you have any mods? Had to find the car in the for sale section to get the list of modifications. When I took it to TDI North i was low on petrol so had to but 97 ron in to get me off the motorway. I am going before Christmas to have the plenum spacer fitted and it remapped with proper fuel in it. I think from memory the mods below gave about 312bhp, but I would check with Paul at TDI North as was not really paying attention, as I trust him to map it correctly. Exterior Nismo V2 replica front bumper with Cannards (Dec 2011). Gio Cuzzo replica rear spoiler (Dec 2011). Black Door handles and Z badges. 18' Rays Engineering alloys in Black. Stumpy S2000 Aerial. 2007 model LED rear lights. Carbon Fibre B Pillars. Interior Usual GT pack equipment, Heated leather seats, Cruise control, Built in sat nav etc. Custom door builds with uprated front FLI intergrator 6 speakers. Sony Double-Din Touchscreen DVD head unit (May 2012). Leather gear gaiter with blue stitching (Dec 2011). New boot mat with blue stitching (Dec 2011). Rear Boot Strut sprayed to match bodywork (Dec 2011). Mechanical BC racing fully adjustable suspension (Lowered 10mm). Scorpion Cat back exhaust. Japspeed race manifolds. 20mm rear spacers. Varta blue Top battery (Dec 2011).l Most DE struggle to get around the 300 mark, let alone surpass it. Have you got hp numbers for fly and wheels? How do the gains manifest themselves in the real world?
