  1. My last four cars have been a 306 gti6 , a 205 Gti with a gti-6 engine, a remapped Seat Leon Cupra R and now a Zed. The most fun was the 205, the best through the corners was the 306, the most practical was the Leon and the Zed is the best at everything else.
  2. How about offering performance packages? Not everyone who modifies their cars is on a forum so some people may not be sure what the best parts are for them. You could have say a track performance pack and a fast road performance pack. Track pack being Coilovers, 2 piece discs, track pads, braided lines, fluids, arbs etc. Fast road performance pack could be MD spacer, eibach springs, grooved discs, ds2500/yellowstuff pads and so on. Just a thought, might be complete rubbish!
  3. Yeah I also decided to keep mine standard when I brought it.. So far ive got Mrev2 plenum, MD Spacer, y-pipe, ferodo DS2500's, DBA4600's, braided hoses, RBF600 fluid, and planning HFC's probably, a remap and a tanabe medalion touring system
  4. Sadly I'm not a full time smurf, its was a one off !
  5. Hi guys, Im looking to get some Berk's fitted to my car but I am slightly worried about the hissing noise people mention. Is there anyone in the Essex or Suffolk area with HFC's fitted to their car that I could come and have a listen to? Ideally with the rest of the system standard but not too bothered if the rest of the system is after-market also. Many Thanks Stuart
  6. Think this question might be aimed at Mark from Abbey so not sure if putting up prices is fair Maybe wait for him to get his reply in
  7. I used them on a FWD Seat Leon Cupra R and wasnt overly impressed, they were noisy and overall grip levels werent amazing. If your looking to spend that kind of money id recommend the Hankook V12 Evos, grippier and also wear pretty well. You need to give them a few extra PSI on the zed though compared with the 040's as the sidewalls are a bit softer.
  8. Buy one with rays, sell the rays and fit a wheel of your choice. Pistonheads, Autotrader and on here are probably your best bets to be honest.
  9. Welcome! Stick up a picture of the exhaust system and someone might be able to help
  10. Have you tried changing the oil for genuine nissan stuff and adding molyslip? worked a treat for mine
  11. The VQ isnt a french engine. The M3 is a 3.2. It produces more power than the NISSAN VQ35DE/HR because it runs individual throttle bodies compared to the VQ's 1 or 2, Vanos system and a higher compression ratio, amongst other things. Hope this helps
  12. Hi I have owned my 06 zed for around 3 months now and love it. Although since owning I have noticed it feels slightly rough at higher revs, coarse is how I would describe it. Is this just the way they are? Is there any way to make it feel smoother? Thanks
  13. How does the handling feel with the spacers?
  14. The beemer actually has the same size sidewall front and rear, give or take 0.8mm whereas the standard 350z has a 9mm bigger sidewall on the back. E.g 225/45/18.......225 x 0.45 = 101.25mm sidewall 245/45/18.......245 x 0.45 = 110.25mm sidewall Hope this helps
  15. I get a high pitched squeel from a pulley on mine when cold as well, definitely isn't the belt slipping.
  16. You should do that on one full tank if you go sensibly(ish). At the weekend I drove to Gloucester and back on one tank, 485 miles, which included the odd blast.

  18. I did mine in a Gallardo, had around 5 laps, it was 'Everyman' the company that did it. The guy was saying when to shift, so I listened to him for the first 4 laps then ignored for the last and just blasted it ! Also I have done a caterham drift day, this was full of blokes in 'VXR Racing' or 'Ferrari' jackets who didnt know which pedal was which. This was pretty fun although you only had a lap at a time in the car so alot of time was spent swapping over.
  19. Are you sure the chassis wasnt twisted? Thats always the silent killer, its perfectly fine when the trolleys empty, get a couple of 24 packs of san miguel in there and BAM your travelling down every isle sideways, get it set up on a hunter alignment machine, make sure it is all within factory tolerances. Hope this helps Just remember, scoot carefully.
  20. Plastic bag hooked on the exhaust? On my old car a tesco bag became lodged and melted onto the exhaust , really stunk. (P.S other brands of supermarket bag are available)
  21. What were the figures? also did you have before and after with the berks or just the after
  22. Take your time and be methodical, if its motordyne the instructions couldn't be clearer! Check you haven't nipped the rubber oil filler surround in the spacer before reassembling
