  1. lol, why not go the whole hog and get unsilenced decat pipes, then there will be basically no silencing or gas restrictions anywhere in the system. Loud? I'd imagine it would be, very!
  2. was said car mid engined perchance? maybe in a front engined car you'd have caught it, but mid engined cars are a bit snappier, and get to the unrecoverable stage faster!. But even so, glad you were ok - get out on a nice wet trackday to get your confidence back!
  3. how many miles has the car done? i thought about 60k was normal for a clutch, but can vary hugely depending on how the car is driven. if it does slip, it'll start under full throttle in 5th and 6th. The method for testing a clutch as described above isnt really the way to do it...
  4. use it as a bargaining tool, 19s arent worth as much as 20s. Although 19s are better for zeds, and cheaper to put tyres on
  5. crikey! best get the kite out...

Haha you're possibly the exception that disproves the rule!
  7. seems mc was indeed closest... tried it last night and it eventually started again, after about 15 seconds on the starter motor. just out of interest, as per NeilMHs comment, does the 350z prefer no throttle or full throttle to clear a flooded engine? i guess seeing as its drive by wire, it will only open the throttle when it is ready?
  8. got any more pics of the interior? white isnt a colour you see very often on seats!
  9. £8k seems a little steep for an 03 car with 71k on the clock, that car without the nismo kit and wheels is probably worth £6.5k, so depends how much the value the extras! but other than that looks like a tidy car
  10. awesome video! and with xmas just around the corner...
  11. i guess thats possible... if it is that, how do i de-flood an engine? i'm going to give it another try this evening, see if i can get anything out of it. Also, done a search for the error code reading guide, but can only find the one to reset the ecu, which i dont think is what i want to do... can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!
  12. Im pretty sure it isnt the battery, the starter motor is chugging away no problem. also, when i turn the ignition on the voltage reads 14v, whereas when the flat battery was in it was reading around 8v. will poke around this evening to make sure i havent accidently disconnected something, but if that doesnt work i'll try a pedal dance and get any error codes.
  13. So Monday morning, car doesnt start - starter motor tries to turn over, getting worse and worse until eventually nothing happening. Fairly straightforward flat battery. Its been on the way out for a while, so i get a replacement Bosch one. Battery arrives yesterday, i swap it in for the old one, and do a test fire up. starter motor chugs away, engine catches and starts fine. Problem solved i think. I leave it idling a minute and then switch off and come in. However, this morning, same thing again, but no starting. starter motor can be heard turning with the vigour only a fresh battery can give, but car not starting! Not coughing or spluttering or trying to start, nothing. just the sound of the starter motor going. my knowledge of engines extends to needing all of air, fuel and spark to start, but i dont know any further than that! Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance! (its a standard 2003 350z)
  14. errrm, probably shouldnt say what i've just done... doing right now, dinner
  15. I think they do look better on darker cars - would look really mean on black. Doesn't work so well on silver imo.
  16. theres one on ebay at the moment i think.
  17. awesome! we like GoT Tyrion is the best >facelick<
  18. That looks pretty good! Not a fan of the dildo style knob, but that looks a proper job.
  19. Great shots! the third pic is indeed a shoe in for the calendar, stunning!
  20. scorpion isnt a loud system - cobra non resonated sounds like a good bet. Or if you want a properly loud system, a buddy club
  21. mmm, so a car meet i'd get to on the train sounds pretty good to me, will pencil it on the calendar.
  22. if it didnt event try to move (as opposed to trying and failing to move) it might be the switch - my car (pretty much identical to yours) requires holding the switch up, then a little bang just below the switches to get a connection, then it will go up fine. I keep meaning to get it looked at, but when its cold i use the air con rather than open a window - only time its annoying is trying to get into car parks, but that inconvienience isnt with the £180 charged for a new motor!
  23. ..... says the Daily Express. However, the Met office is a little more optimistic: UK Outlook for Thursday 17 Oct 2013 to Saturday 26 Oct 2013: Generally unsettled conditions at first with temperatures recovering to near average or rather warm, and milder nights than of late. However, strengthening winds and rain will limit the warmer feel. Bands of occasionally heavy rain and strong winds will spread northeastwards across the UK, interspersed with more showery weather and a risk of gales at times in the west. However, eastern and northeastern parts may only see small amounts of rain initially with brighter conditions persisting longest here. By next weekend, the unsettled weather will affect the whole of the country, with periods of rain and cloud alternating with brighter, showery spells. Probably remaining changeable through the following week, perhaps with a gradual improvement in the south and east. Temperatures on the warm side of average. UK Outlook for Sunday 27 Oct 2013 to Sunday 10 Nov 2013: The unsettled weather expected by late October is considered more likely than not to persist through the rest of the month onwards into the first week of November, leading to slightly above average rainfall amounts for some regions. Temperatures during this period may well remain close to or a little above average throughout, especially in the south, leading to a lower risk of frost here than can usually be expected at this time of year. There are some indications that the second week of November may see drier than average conditions across some parts of the country with temperatures probably returning to average.
