Fast road/Track 350z 3.7ltr HR built

Yeah do it all in my (wish it was a double) garage. The pic with the gearbox on the floor and axle stands all round on hole 3 is as much room as I had to do the job. Although its big the gearbox isn't too heavy and it nicely weighted to sit on a jack and be pulled away from the engine and then there's loads of room to nearly sit up under there and swap everything over. I'd recommend the Xtreme kit too, good quality and feel reassuringly heavy but not too heavy under your foot with no silly juddering etc mines already done a good few hundred miles of Alps bashing and its first trackday and feels good as new. Thats good news, think i'll pick up a new clutch and lightened fly wheel to stick on over the winter. I thought i was going to have to bite the bullet and get a garage to fit it due to my lack of ramps but reckon if i pick up a new jack with a higher lift it should be sound. I'm between the Xtreme kit and the JWT kit, both seem to get good write ups. I just need to add a press to my garage like you to save me pulling favors to get stuff pressed out -

Looks a good set up did you fit your clutch at home? I'm wanting to change mine over but wasn't sure i'd be able to get the clearance under the car to do it at home on the drive -
Looking good, another thing on my to do list at somepoint

Hi. It's going back in for a tweek on the map shortly which should see at least 415hp at the rear hubs. ( that should be about 450bhp at the fly I think) Wouldn't want any more than that. That should be fine on standard internals as long as you service the car accordingly and look after it. It's a totally different animal now ! Don't be fooled buy looking at supercharger kits in the states and thinking it can be done cheap.by the time you import it and get stung on taxes and import duty then by all the additional parts it's not cheap. Torqen do a full bolt on vortech with everything required and it's about £6k from memory. This is what you should be saving for plus then money to fit and map. I've got a few upgrades parts like full fuel return system with fuel rails, larger intercooler , oil cooler and kinetix plenum. I reckon my super charger conversion will be close to £8k by the time it was fitted and tuned. Worth it though That sounds like good power, So handy we have a tuner up here now. Car gets pampered for services as it is so should be good on the front. It was driving the golf r that made me want to go for more power as it made the zed feel slow and can't have that lol. I'd used Torqens kit as a base guide with adding on a few hundred more for a re-map and possibly a new clutch as i'm still on the original. All the fitting would be done by me so would save a fair whack on labor. You think its possible to get similar power without those upgrades? I'm trying to have the money in the bank before I commit to it so i can get it all at once and not buy in dribs and drabs as i'll just get frustrated at not being able to complete it. -

Looks really good What power you planning? Toying with the idea of supercharging but need to save u some ££'s first. Still trying to research how much power can be made from the standard internals and whats required to get there. -
Was actually not bad, Just need to ditch chris evans. To be honest it could work but Matt le blanc should be the main host and just stop trying be like the old top gear relax an be themselves. Chris just comes across as a fud. Even the mrs said clarkson was an ar*e but still better than evans Matt seems dry but likable and looks like he knows his stuff and can actually drive pretty well. There is obviously a lot more of their new presenters yet to make an appearance but better than I expected. I still believe they should have killed off top gear and started a fresh new show and new format, but too late now. how does every one else feel?

Seriously, drive the RS, Golf R and M135i as well before making any decision - at the least youll be able to tell people how good/bad they are and Ive no doubt you'll enjoy them all Already drove the Golf, brilliant car but the understated look's are way to boring for my liking, I'd never be happy with it unless modifying and that would be defeating the point. The RS is a serious contender now, I'll see how I feel after driving one in april. The year long waiting list is a bit of a headache but I'd wait if it was going to be worth it. I'm with you on the golf just can't get past how meh it looked I thought the same with the focus to be honest, too tame for a modern RS in my opinion after the last one but thought the type r swung too far the other way by trying to hard to look "in your face"

Was confused at first lol but just seen your post, That looks the mutts nuts but unfortunately I've got a Kinetix plenum fitted. Does get me pondering over getting some of the interior dipped to tidy it up a bit

Apparently there is new rules regarding stretched tyres for mots but I'm still legal ☺ Not sure I could get away with wider tyres without rubbing unfortunately
-
I did think that at first but the green and orange goes well I think. Or maybe I'm just trying to convince myself it does lol

Sailed though the Mot yesterday after i gave her a quick service so finally back on the road since october Just need to get the W-brace & brackets changed over at some point, fix the damaged oil pressure sensor and under seal her by the end of the summer. Took the chance today to get her a good clean and a coat of wax and a quick once over on the Golf R whilst all the gear was out. Just need to take it out a blast and enjoy now
-
Yeh gave them a soak today with plus gas and got drills, taps and new bolts at the ready if it all goes t*ts up
-
Giving the car its service today to finally get her back on the road after winter and found the oil pressure sensor damaged whilst doing the oil. What ever it was has burst through the under tray, clipped the sump and knocked the sensor by the looks of it. Not sure how long its been like this, must have happened after last years service. Pressure gauge still works fine so will do until the new sensor arrives. On a positive note tried a few of the bolts on the W-brace and they are coming no problem so should be sound to get that changed out without much hassle when I get round to it.

Zman sorted me out for this a few years back

They are hubcentric
-
Can't blame her I've always liked them myself. We're always going to be biased though lol

Was torn between this and the golf r but opted for the golf due to the 4 wheel drive and extra doors. I do like the styling of the scirocco better though. Cracking motor

Revolution in alloa, good lads. Worth going to see them if your local. They have done quite a few zed now

I do this every year as its no fun in the ice and my street is on a hill that doesn't get gritted. Works out cheaper and easier to buy a scraper for £400 with a years mot and stick two winter tyres on the front then sell in the summer to recoup my £400. Plus i enjoy having a car i don't care about, great for putting the dog in etc My winter routine Sorn it I just give it a good clean and wax and left on the drive as it doesn't fit n the garage Let the fuel get down to the light being on so when it gets the better weather i can fill her up with fresh fuel Try to remember to start her once every trip home an let her run for 5-10min usually just till the rad fan kicks in leave it parked in gear with the handbreak off, give it a quick shuffle about the drive when its warmed up just to stop the breaks seizing Give it a service at some point before I plan on putting it back on the road I know i should put the battery on trickle charge etc but this works for me and batteries are only about £70 so not the end of the world if it dies.
