  1. Correct, which is why I'm asking if there is a cheaper alternative which is just as safe. If I wasn't concerned about safety then I'd have just gone ahead and done it rather than asking
  2. I may remove the whole switch assembly at some point and clean it all up, that should prolong their life a bit
  3. Yeah I know you can get harness bars but they're expensive. Yeah good point, I guess the best way is to weld eyelets in for each mounting point.
  4. Think I'm just going to get some and try it. Not sure what to do about the indents I'm the rear strut cover yet though!!
  5. Hmm should do ok for the basics then, although depending on how much I decide to do it's probably best to use the same stuff so it matches. Don't know if I can justify £40-50 on a small amount of vinyl...
  6. Interesting, it started working on it's own by pressing the button a bit harder.
  7. If I fitted bucket seats I could bolt to the side mounts but I'm not fitting buckets for now.
  8. As title, looking for some clear reflectors for my 53 plate UK GT. Used only please, as I'm in no rush for them and don't fancy paying new prices. I'm looking for both the front bumper reflectors and the headlight reflectors. Thanks Sam
  9. I guess it does depend how you drive, to some extent!
  10. This concerns me as I'm considering doing a couple of track days in the Zed. I think I have standard pads and EBC drilled/grooved discs so will do some research into pad replacement. On other notes, quite like the new colour of the calipers hopefully they won't be damaged at all!
  11. I'm thinking of fitting 4 point harnesses in my Zed. For the rears points I think I will be welding plates (like these) into the rear strut brace and screwing eyelets into them. For the lap belts, I'm not 100% sure yet but was thinking of drilling holes and welding or bolting eyelets here: Would this be ok for the lap belts? Any better suggestions?

Always loved the mk2 ph2 clio sport. If I think I'd be able to put up with front wheel drive, I'd definitely buy one!
  13. Has anyone used this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190912306230 The seller has a lot of positive feedback on it but also quite a bit of negative feedback. Just wondering whether it's worth buying to wrap a few interior bits + B pillars and potentially roof. 3M is the other option which I'm sure will be better quality, but isn't gloss. That said, I'm not sure whether this is actually gloss or just more of a satin finish - it's hard to tell from the pictures.
  14. Completely agree with a better drivers car but what didn't you like about them out of interest, and what size spacers did you have? I fitted 25mm front and 30mm rear and feel the car handles very well with the extended width.
  15. Tried this and it didn't fix it. What's this 2p mod? Edit: Found a guide for it! Here if anyone else was wondering.
  16. Makes me want another s14 drift car. That or drift the Zed, but I'm not sure I can bring myself to do that...
  17. I removed the wheel when I did it, it's doable with the wheel on as people have said but easier with the wheel off. Probably took me 15-20 minutes all in (including jacking up/removing wheel etc).
  18. Points and accidents? Or do you have a bad postcode? That's almost 3 times what I pay. I'm 2 years younger with 1 year less NC.
  19. I would DEFINITELY be going to look at this it if wasn't almost 180 miles away! Just can't be bothered.
  20. Is it easy to see? I assumed I'd have to move a couple of bits. I'll have a look when I can.
  21. As I mentioned a while ago mine is knocking quite a bit. I'm not sure if it's the bush or ball joint though need to find some time to remove the arm and investigate! I'll keep an eye on this though as that's a great price!
  22. I'm 22, £450 comprehensive with no points, no accidents (I had one in 2008 but they weren't interested over 3 years ago) and 4 years NC. This is on a multi-car policy with 3 other cars which saves a bit but either way cheap for my age/the car I always seem to get cheap insurance quotes though. I was paying under £400 on my E46 328.
  23. Cheers. I'm happy to remove the seat and then the motor etc to clean it all up, I just can't get to the rear seat bolts! I also noticed my seat belt seems to be slightly loose which is more of a concern! Want to get the seat out to tighten that up too!
  24. Well if I tild forward and press slide back at the same time, the tilt becomes slower but that's all.. Otherwise nothing.
