  1. Very well made video Oh and for Ian
  2. He is probably like this through experience. I had my car ****ed up originally and wanted to do the whole court thing but through hearing people in similar situations experiences its pointless for a few grand. If they haven't got the balls to admit they are wrong and do whats right you really think they will turn up to court? and then the court rules in your favour but you still have to sepnd money on balifs to get your money back. So in his case he is looking at probably a year of courts to probably only end up with £1000 back after court/legal/balif costs. Is it really worth the hassle! From reading the other forum I recon his car was used to train people on. I sure the other company will put it right for him and all will be forgotten in 6 months.
  3. Removing it is fairly straight forward just a case of 8 bolts to undo to get the binnacle off. Then about 6 little screws to take out and and a couple of clips it will come off. Note you have to take the back of the binnacle off first to get at the clips to get to the front. Underside of the binnacle looks like this
  4. Thanks for the comments guys, it was a great weekend, I still ache all over No, nothing. I was chatting to one of the judges who was trying to convert me to using the Autoglym HD Wax. I asked him for a free sample and he said he couldnt as its £40 per tub. I sat there thinking that it prob costs them sod all, they had a open tub he could of just let me try and it may of made me buy a full tub, there loss I guess. Well that is better than winning any awards Most of them just drop the car for the show, some are trailored in like it. I would actually love to slam my car just for the show and may be something i might look into for the future. I still dont get the stretched tyre look or why everyone seems to put Porsche wheels on their cars.
  5. Wow! what a hectic and tiring weekend, and I thought Wales was bad. I have had a fantastic weekend tho was such a great experience and I have learnt a lot and got some ideas on how i will move forward with the progression of my Zed. It all started on Friday, I was up early and gave the car a good old clean before the 40 minute drive to Peterborough showground. On arrival the place was hectic and slighly disorganised unfortunately. I finally found out where I had to put my car but they were seriously behind schedule. I had intended on waxing my car once I got there but time was really ticking on. A friend came with me and we went to put up the tent while we waited for them to finish. Finally got into the indoor arena about 3 which meant we had a couple of hours to get the car sorted. Here is how the car looked, I was fairly happy but would of loved some more time. Friday night had a brilliant atmosphere and set the scene for the whole weekend. I had a few drinks but was shattered and retired to the tent around midnight, my friend/helper didnt roll in till 4am Up at 7.30am gave me another couple of hours with the car. It was fairly clean but wasnt shining like i wanted, I tried a new quick detailer from Poorboys but was not very happy with the outcome. I was looking around at everyone else and some people were still cleaning at 1pm I still didnt know what the judging was all about so i started asking around. They judge the cars throughout the whole weekend, so will look at how the car changes during the show. 2 judges came round, one looks at the paint and finish the other looks at the mods and bits that make the car unique. They asked to look in the boot and under the bonnet which was a suprise as I hadnt spent much time cleaning as I had not expected to show them off. I also noticed the paint guy spent a lot of time looking for swirl marks and imperfections which made wish I had proper detailed the car before the show but just didnt have time. I felt really under prepared!!! I had a talk with my friend and saturday afternoon we were both so tired we decided that we were gonna have a early night and get up early and properly sort the car. We were up at 6.30 and managed to get on the car at 7am. We quickly stripped off the protection, de-swirled, a full coat of wax and a quick detail on top. I also sepnt a little bit of time cleaning the engine bay a bit to make it look more presentable. It is amazing what you can achieve in a few hours when there is 2 of you. This is how it looked for the Sunday I dont think i have ever seen it so shiney and the pictures dont really do it justice but i was very happy. On the whole the car got some great attention and i got some great feedback. I really didnt realise how big Modified Nationals was but people spend a lot of money just for this one show. The car that one the best bodywork awatd had only been resprayed days before, you cant get much better than that can ya! Here is the top 25 area and some of the cars Best Bodywork Best Interior Dont seem to have pictures of best engine or best sound system Best show car Some of the other 25 Most waxed car - The owners were never not cleaning the car all weekend, I counted at least 3 coats of wax. Fully carbon To sum up it was a fantastic show and if I got a chance to go again I will prepeare better like many get the car professionally detailed before had. The show is definately one for the calendar as it was very well layed out and the organisation once the show had started was good. Camping was really a great idea and the facilities were pretty good as it goes. Cant wait for the next one but for now im shattered and need some sleep
  6. Sandy! im there every week, never seen a Zed in Sandy. I play pool for the Conservative club.
  7. What index files are there in the root Chris? Can mike goto a specific address on the site say this thread viewtopic.php?f=7&t=62274&start=30 Maybe just the client does not know how to handle the execution of the site.
  8. Maybe some of the ip range is blacklisted somewhere along the route, cant think of anything else that might be at fault.
  9. Sorry to see this mate total bad luck. If you fancy a drive Wheel Genie in Huntingdon can sort it out no probs. If there is a bit of a issue with colour match like others have said just get both wheels on that side repainted. You wont realise if they are not exactly the same as the other side then.
  10. Im from Bedford too so if you need a hand with anything give me a shout
  11. The new Virgin system is a router with built in modem but if the OP has a older setup its the modem you need to restart or leav off over night.
  12. Try turning the router off when you go bed tonight and then turn on tomorrow and check. Virgin is very bad when it comes to cacheing, ive had problems in the past while trying to develop a website.
  13. Just to let you guys know i just found out what car it is. It is a TVR Typhoon, not the best angle but a good picture below
  14. Might also be worth checking the hosts file stored on his PC. Its very unlikely that an entry would of been made but i have seen some third party programs use this. Hosts is locted in c:\windows\system32\driver\etc if its windows 98 or windows7, i think win 2000 was slightly different Go to that location and double click hosts and then open with notepad, make sure there is no entry for and of the clubs domains. Also restart your router might sort out the caching issue with your ISP
  15. Im sorry to see this. I too had a freak accident in my car many years ago and was told I did 18K to the car by the insurance engineers. As others have said get a full list of the parts that need replacing, pm zmanalex and R35LEE the list and see what they can do to help. Im sure between them two and others on the forum you can get it sorted. It probably looks worse than it is seeing as the wheel looks failry straight in the photo. Is it in a garage local to the track? Just curious as im from Bedford myself.
  16. As some of you may be aware there is a show this weekend called Modified Nationals. Like Japfest they are celebrating their 10th year running. I have been invited to show my car indoors in the Autoglym Top 25. So if anyone is going feel free to stop and say hello.
  17. Haha Chris thanks for that. Yes thats what I had been talking to Mitz about for a couple of years and was the plan when my brakes needed replacing. However with the money I spent on the car so far this year and the extra money needed to sorting out a few bits damaged at Wales I just couldn't stretch to that sort of cash. So these will do for now. I think for the money they tick all my boxes for what i need/want right now.
  18. Yes that is Rik's car so the statement of "full veilside wide arch kit (not a cheap copy)" is total crap, I also was believed that it was either a cat d or cat c write off but I may be wrong on that part.
  19. +1 And just in case you have the older style headlights
  20. See now you know what i put it on here. From the comments elsewhere i think it may be a TVR T440R but its not 100% yet.
  21. I think thats why I think it looks familiar because it looks like a 370Z. I spent ages on google images trying to work it out. I guess the 'Warts' are fairly important as its a computer rendering and im sure they are added for a reason.
  22. This is a picture on a Auto Club Revolution' s facebook page. i have been trying to work out what car it is but it quite frustrating as it looks familiar. See if you can work it out.
  23. He is like the paparazzi, he is always in the right place to get an amazing photo
