  1. Yikes - That really sucks in a straight line As I've never used the fuse trick I can't answer that - a search on here may help - hopefully some one who knows will post up soon. Weird that they stay locked, you would think that has to be some sort of valve in the ABS holding it but I've never come across it unless it's in the ABS unit itself. Here's an off the wall thought for you - Off throttle so TB closes, engine braking starts meaning the inertia of the car keeps engine at high RPM which creates large (than normal) vacuum in Plenum, Brakes are servo assisted meaning the vacuum in the plenum is holding the brakes hard on even when you release pressure with your foot. - That's just a well somethings doing it type thought that may be worth looking at. I managed almost the opposite with my SC - dump throttle SC still turning at high RPM creates positive pressure before (sticky) blow off valve dumps it - result in very poor brakes going into a bend due to no servo assistance - that was a bum twitch moment! EDIT: - or a faulty servo? - I have spare if you want to test that theory
  2. Doesn't SC = Stability control ?? Also if the TC light is coming on and going off TC is not disabled - it stays on if its disabled. If you are switching it off with the button I don't think it's completely off any way. I think that's why they say to pull the fuse or use the Mod that @cs2000 does. Any way to answer your question I think your just overloading the system and it can't handle it, TC on a 350 is pretty much just an engine cut it's not a refined racing aid, The car has some clever electronics stability control and abs that "try" to interpret an issue and correct it. hard acceleration then hard braking and cornering deliberately (all be it with good reason) is probably beyond it's comprehension, add to that no doubt upgraded brakes both disks and pads and the cars "corrections" or attempts at it appear to do more harm than good. That's just a guess mind you but I'd start by turning more on board control off. Hope that helps point you in a good direction
  3. Loving the work - that Mini has had more TLC in the last few weeks than in the last few years PS - Tango the wheels
  4. The chassis ? - No hasn't really got a chassis - there is a rusty hole where the chassis should be I put it on the ramps yesterday and I couldn't use the jacking points they wouldn't take the weight of the car Don't worry it's the donor car out of my barn find, it was due to be stripped 9 years ago but has sat in storage ever since the MOT ran out, I'm hoping the other shell that was in store is in much better condition then I'll most likely be selling the pair on to someone to do as I have to many projects already
  5. My new whip Not sure my polishing is as good as @ATTAK Z But look at all my gauges #racecar Keyser Maximum Effort
  6. Well done @Humpy good to see you at the front Have a great day guys n gals hope the weather is awesome
  7. I’m in for the updates looks like a good little project.
  8. The rust monster - but she repaired it with duct tape so it lasted a long while before it came to me
  9. Its a really small car Actually it’s a trolley jack handle but I preferred really big cigarette
  10. Please read the thread title @Beb PopZ - First Rod Build and other Zed Shed Antics This covers; Tractor Tool box Radical engine GTR mods Lawnmower 400sx (200sx *2?) AND anything else I see fit to post about! Thanks you very much I know what you mean about other projects
  11. Sand the marks in the "tubes" down and do the same on the mark in the rim I would suggest nothing harsher than a 320 grit wet and dry paper on a block for the rim just to remove anything proud - do not over sand it! You will make a dip and that's worse than the scratch. Remember its ally so soft. The plenum has a gasket and as long as you torque the plenum bolts down correctly you should be fine. I would be happy to use it from what I have seen in the pics. EDIT: Top Tip - make sure you clean it really well after sanding or the dust will go straight into the engine when you start her up.
  12. Nope - they are doing nothing except holding a tarp down at the moment
  13. Well here's some news from the Zed Shed II - We've only gone and bought a "Barn Find" Literally a barn find and here is the find in a barn ................ Blurry Pic for @andybp And after a couple of hours loading the trailer ...... just need to collect the two cars/shells What we have is one 1990 Nissan 200sx that was driven into the barn 7 years ago (red one) and hasn't moved since and another 200sx, also 1990, which was bought as a non runner but had a very clean shell, this was stripped and steam cleaned 7 years ago then parked along side the first one ready for the transplant, the transplant never happened! The red(ish) one is the donor and the silver one was supposed to be a full on high BHP show car, The donor had a built engine with turbo and still has the intercooler ally rad etc etc but is running a standard engine now after the old engine blew at Santa Pod. The original owner then started to collect parts for the build, we have, new adjustable coil-over suspension still in the box, a full body kit imported from the states still wrapped for shipping, a full roll cage imported from Australia!? still wrapped and unused, along with loads of engine bling, 2 engines, 2 gearboxes a sports exhaust a second intercooler with all polished pipes, a welded diff a spare set of very wide alloys and everything to put the silver one back together should we want to. There is also supposed to be at least 2 turbos one is apparently from a GTR and has the manifold to fit to the 200sx. So what are we going to do with it all? We at the Zed Shed felt it was our duty to rescue these Nissan's and get them back into the world of petrol heads, I have so many projects at the moment that I most likely won't have time to do the build myself and will have to pass these along to another enthusiast, so if you know anyone that wants a project I've got a great starter kit More of something soon Keyser Maximum Effort
  14. Try the shorter belt, and see how it goes, if the pulleys were like that it is most likely correct so don't start changing anything just yet. Let us know how it goes
  15. Sorry if you want that figure it would be just over 15HP per ton cause I'm more than a handful Now go and balance your intakes or something else more useful than flaming me ya horrible man!!!!!
  16. In other news, The Radical went in for dyno and tune this is maps 2, 3 and 4 (Map 1 is missing but it's spring pressure only and about 200HP) we have a 5 step boost controller The bottom run here is "Party Mode" that's map 5 with the overtake button pressed - She will make more but we thought given engine wear and tear and the fact we melted 2 valves last season along with only weighing in at 600KG this was enough!! That's over 500HP per ton by my calculations Should be a handful Keyser Maximum Effort
  17. Been a bit busy on everything except the Pop build to be honest, had Maz @gg2040uk in for a new set of brakes Then Chris @cs2000 for some rear over arches see https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/107170-cs2000s-zed-journey/?do=findComment&comment=1807110 Then we had another favour for a friend - I don't care if its just a lawn mower the work that went in demands I post pics He said "Can you weld up a small hole in my lawn mower" I said yes Not sure it was worth it but it was fun and good practice Keyser Maximum Effort!
  18. you got a pic up while I was asking for it Problems I can see - That belt is to long defo drop 2 teeth maybe 4 (try it and see. You need a washer between the spacer and the mounting plate for the tensioner pulley to stop it dragging towards the front. That should sort it. On a side note and it may just be me but either that belt is narrow or the tensioner pulley is wider than I remember. No chance you got the pulleys muddled up is there? The one that the V bely runs over with the non grooved side and the one that is currently the toothed belt tensioner? That's just an "are you sure" type observation not a statement of fact not saying its wrong just trying to help Do remember that I have been running a GTM supercharger for the last 3 years which is completely different!
  19. If the belt is moving there may be an alignment issue, However the play is not helping, any chance you could post a pic of the setup so I can see it? - I've done a few V2/V3 setups and have used different methods to keep tension correct and avoid belt slip.
  20. But which one! The one that is not in the room when the blame is being discussed You should get something in the post from today or tomorrow at the latest
  21. I'm sure it's 7 angle grinders really Remember If anything goes wrong it will be Chris's fault Great write up mate - glad your happy and hope they last you for a good few years of Zedding
