  1. We are a Forum of Traders:) What ya peddling RTbiscuit?
  2. Nothing on my car is legal then lol
  3. y mt thy r gr8 2 uz. i lv hw u spk. What do u mean?? Most folk on here cannot abide text speech
  4. Apparenty they are not if Stew is correct and l believe he is. You need to click on the link of his to DVLA registration plates.
  5. Only if you do it like me in a rush. I took the whole backing off and the surface was not flush. The other guys may be right about Vinal plates as being a no no but stick on plates being correct. Its a shame as these are really good quality. I think Biscuit has an XK 8 and l have seen them on the front of those. I know the spacing on mine is wrong but the Met police seem not to be that bothered. certainly the ones that come to Croydon valley have not commented and they said we recognise the car. At the end of the day the iten Stew put up is correct. You could always stick the vinal ones over the stick on lol.
  6. Well l spent ages and can find nothing to back up my earlier statement. So mine are going on and that lump of plastic on the front is coming off. The nice thing about those ebay ones is the numbers are carbon and look great. But you need to be careful as they will air bubble
  7. Not sure who you aimed this at but i got mine from here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150507627449? ... 1497.l2648
  8. Might sound a bit daft but you did put the heat shield in and some copper slip on the back?
  9. Boo Hoo same here, no good to me You make the cut outs your self with a craft knife. But I believe the base has to be glued to the swab to stop movement. there was a u-tube on fittment somewhere. Well worth a bid as I would most definately get them if my leather was orange.
  10. I have to surrender. Just read on other forums simular stories of being hoodwinked and that dealerships especially MOT stations were jumping the gun and had bought Number plate machines. Obviously wanted to make some money. Maybe l miss read what the PC showed me, and it may have been the start of a joint campaign between the Driver agency and met Police. Appologies.
  11. All I can find is an old thread that Police are trying to get the law changed because of the drive outs of fuel stations and some other stuff. I will be well peeved if WLMG made me buy a pair of plates for no good reason.
  12. I am trying to find the page that the copper showed me. I did not belive it myself but it was there.
  13. Oyy Sparky. You been and my meds again. Shoot from the hip why dont you!! Incidently does anyone have a clue as to what the guy in the video is saying? Apart from England beat us at Footy!!
  14. Not wishing to pee on anybodies parade but in 2008 they change the rule that said all number plates had to be screwed or bolted on. The met Police and surrey had a big campaign on and even fitted them for you at there expense at your local police Station. I 1st found out 18 months ago when WLMG went to MOT my Pathfinder and refused to mot it until l had them changed. last month my local bobby re - confirmed this was correct and gave me a set or screws the cheeky sod. After drinking my coffee we went on the DVLA web site and there is was clear as day. dammed annoying as I just bought somy Vinal plates with carbon numbers. I had intended taking of the front like the other gut has done. Very tempting to put them on and glue screw covers on lol
  15. Its a fair price for quality work. sadely you get what you pay for and if you chase the cheapest you will get the crapiest.
  16. I can see some harsh words coming off the back of this. I HATE VAUXHALL!!!
  17. You would if you had salad down the Grass Hopper instead of all that meat!!!
  18. I got my 2500's from ZMANALEX in October last. never had a problem with them and l am still on oem discs.
  19. When a member of the blue rinse brigade use the side of my 1st Zed for target practice, her insurance company gave me a brand new CLS 350 grand edition. I ended up keeping it for 96 days as couldnt get parts from Japan.
  20. If it was a BMW we might lol I love Mercs Especially the AMG Bi Turbo Only problem is the Mercedes Forum which I am a member of is all ya ya shirt and tie Brigade. Turn up in a dirty car and you get sent home!
  21. Only because we were so busy watching your antics!!
  22. I dont know why I even commented as I am clueless. Not that l couldnt do the job myself. My car was 2 years old when I got it so still had warranty And Abbey look after the mechanics. I just pee the neighbors off by Polishing it all the time. And hogging the Disabled bay at Mother care valley park! Hope you sort it Hanna Nice set of new plugs and some Jap panel filtres and she will purr. P:)
  23. Hannah. Ring up Abbey as advice is free. They will give you the name of the correct plugs and you not under any obligation to buy them or get them to fit them. I know l had mine up-rated when they put fitted the supercharger and not even they were as expensive as what you have been quoted. Nissan main dealer prices can be very high then you have the dreaded VAT. Have you considered going the the local collage for evening class basic mechanics course? It will pay you in the long run as no knowledge puts you at the mercy of the dealership sharks.
